Spider Web at home

I think we are being invaded by tent caterpillars this year, there just seems to be more of them for some reason

I'm especially proud of the way this picture came out because I think it's beautiful and I am NOT by any stretch of the imagination a photographer, however much I wish.

I spent some time shooting spider webs and came up with this series, many of which are significantly modified post-production.

Another dewy misty morning being rural now we are surrounded by critters and evidence of critters.

I know I took a picture of spider webs yesterday but seeing this one this morning it was an opportunity I didn't want to miss especially with the edition of the water drops and refracted flowers.

I haven't used my macro lens all year and this guy wanted his portrait published :-)

Apologies to any arachnophobes. I'm sure it's no consolation, but he's really quite a small spider!

This is one of MANY images taken on a trip to Santa Fe, NM from Ft. Collins, CO. The trip had a purpose, to photograph a wedding of a dear friend, but we also saw lots of fun stuff along the way and while in Santa Fe. 1000 miles through the beauty of Southwestern Colorado on Highway 285. 2000 images including the ones taken at the wedding. My wife and I really enjoyed the trip and we will do it again....soon.

A large spider set up shop outside my bedroom window. Hope this carnivore doesn't have young on the way.

Thick localised fog made my chances of spotting birds and mammals somewhat limited on Sunday morning, but it was well worth getting out just for the spectacular frosted scenery. Spent a few minutes taking shots of this spider-web just before the fog cleared, rapidly melting away what was easily one of the thickest frosts I've seen locally for quite some time.
