These lined orbweaver spiders are often found in low vegetation and in bushes. There are so many that I could hardly believe I had not noticed them before. They sometimes make a round stabilimentum in their webs like this Lined Orbweaver (Mangora gibberosa) on bugguide: bugguide.net/node/view/137869/bgimage.
Found in a field down the street in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Id corrections appreciated.
My #53 spider this year.
Poor spider, I spit on it to get that water to stick. :D

-Enjoying it while I can.
Walking through the forest today, I came across these spiders webs, highlighted against the darkness of the trees. I only had my 150-500 telephoto with me, but I think it’s effect over quality.
i think this is going to be the homepage to my web assingment. we had to pick a political issue and i chose abortion. if you look at my stuff you will see that i'm obsessed with polaroids, but i was thinking about how a baby develops and (by coincidence) came up with this.
i promise i won't do anymore polaroid stuff this school year. =)
the polaroids are going to be the navigation, but i don't want it to be obvious navigation with text, so i'm thinking about placing images over the bikeseat that would suggest what kind of content would be on the page.

There are souls hanging in balance? Maybe a 2D depiction of different realms where the souls are? NEEEEEEE … these are just droplets on a spider web.

I would spin webs the color of the sky and
catch drops of sunlight to give to children who
watch too much TV and then everyone
would remember to come outside to play.
If I was a spider princess, she said,
things would be different.”

A sculpture at the Benson Sculpture Park in Loveland, Colorado. I pulled these out from the archives and I don't know the names of the pieces or the artist. I will try to get that info soon.
