Under the greenhouse eaves

Dozens of spider webs were present along the American River. The fog added some moisture to the web highlighting the structure as it was illuminated in the morning light.

Still learning how to use the Olympus PL3, so far it has great 'out-of-camera' results. I'm impressed how well it holds up at iso 1600. It's a great camera for travel. In my case it goes running with me along the river trail to catch these kind of opportunities.

We Drove through Ritzville, WA today and were enthralled by this old mess. Ritzville is a pretty shabby little town with a lot of shabby places to photograph. We only had a few minuets to take this picture. It is "Webers Repair". There's a lot of weight bearing down on those two pillars, and visually is looks like a major hazard. That thing is going to come down one of these days and hopefully no one will be under it when it does!

Whatever the weather, one must eat.

Made by a Nursery Web spider. If you view Large you can see the newly hatched spiderlings inside. For Web Wednesdays group www.flickr.com/groups/webwednesdays HWW!

The web of our life is of a mingled yarn, good and ill together.”

I spotted this at the barn today and thought my lens would love it!

Spider web in the garden

...and it's me in the middle...

As you see, the web is above the gutter level of the roof, which is about twenty-five to thirty feet. Must've been good insect eats. The berries are sterile, or, at least, none of our trees have produced offspring in past few years.

A freezing fogged spider's web.

Treatment: Well, I had a hot toddy consisting of brandy and rum because I was so so cold. Alright, it was only 0 degrees C outside but for round here, it was cold. Oh! You mean treatment on the photo - just a B&W conversion and a sepia tint

Just noticed the EXIF data is missing. This is probably because I converted to B&W using split channels (I chose the blue channel). Anyway, the camera data reveals this was taken at 1/8th sec @ f/3.2 2006-12-19T15:06)12Z (tripod mounted).

Last web of the season with diamond dew drops.

Why are interesting subjects always in such difficult positions? Crouched in an awkward position for too long and handholding as well as breath holding meant it wasn't easy to get a stable image!

Another image from the new Nikon D850 shot with a 600mm at F8, 1000 ISO, 400th sec.

Not had much opportunity of late to get my camera out as Christmas has taken over and children have been poorly. However when I spotted this frosty web outside my house this morning I couldn't resist the opportunity!
