Captured after testing on 5-6 sets of waves which means abt 20-25 waves,

This is not a modified pic.. I just tempered a little with a brighter color and trimmed a little sand... but everything else is as it was taken.. the shape f the wave is impressive.. there was a Storm going out there in the Pacific and though we had clear skies we had a red flag that prevented us from swimming due to the storm...
I didnt care too much.. as long as i had my camera.. =)
With the part-time job which seems to be more full time, I don't have much opportunities to go out however, this fall has been the best in several years to do ice photography which is about the only subject I have captured in the last 2 weeks to my delight.
Active Assignment Weekly: Could Be On My Wall.
My thinking for this week was to take some cool photos and turn them into something eye-catching. I selected seven images and my husband picked the final two out of the seven.
What it took: Straightened. Colour added, enhanced, shadows brought up, gradients, all sorts... The main differences are colour and contrast. I do my editing in Lightroom and tend to use all sorts of adjustments to get the photo how I want it. The individual adjustments tend to be slight, but combined the end result is (to me) more interesting than the original capture.

I know I'm flooding my stream with these lately. But I have a bunch that I haven't shared and life is keeping me too busy to shoot anything new right now. I love this series though so hopefully you won't get tired of them :)

Bicheno on the east coast of Tasmania where the water is always a riot of colour and matches the sky.
Life seems to be like a wave, with up and downs. Today is a "up" day. My best friend came to visit me in the mountains of Jura. I think it will be a good week-end with her, my first good one for a long time.

A photo taken a few months ago during a winter storm in Sydney, Australia. The surfers were making the most of the big waves on Maroubra Beach.
Today's high winds caused a spectacular show of wave action on Lake Michigan. The Coast Guard warned that these waves were higher and more powerful than those that sank the Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior. The local weather channel measured them up to 40 feet high. The viewing platform on the bottom right was swallowed up a split second later as the wave grew in size and crashed down in the rocks, but I wanted to include it to give some perspective. Wind and sleet made standing out there loads of fun!
