I built this as a proof-of-concept, seeing if I could make a convincing curve out of mostly angular blocks. What do you think I should turn it into?

Have a great Sunday and thanks for dropping by.
It was a gray day with blustery winds from the NW and waves rocking the western shore of Lake Michigan. In other words, a perfect day to take some shots in b&w. There were no surfers out, but there was enough other action to make my lake visit interesting.
Sunrise on a SoCal pier back in October. I think the only thing more freeing than that surfer was me taking the shot of him riding this wave into shore as the sun was rising in the East.
The sun bathing between the palm trees and right into my line of sight made me feel as if it rose just for me.
There is not a day I don't dream of the ocean. I hope to live close to one someday. (And maybe take up surfing?)

Heading into a big surf to challenge the high tide waves. You can take a beating but also get some great rides and feel one with nature. A great sport for men and women and best done with lifeguards on duty.

Just caught the sunrays through the cloud and the sunset on the ocean as the wave broke on the shore of the island of Sal in Cape Verde.
The caption and photo are me waving back to royals everywhere for waving at us commoners. I am amazed by the variety of manhole cover designs. How nice that the companies making them give their iron foundry crews some creative freedom! Also, covers of access holes in streets are ancient devices: "Manhole covers date back at least to the era of ancient Rome, which had sewer grates made from stone."
