Here is a huge wave that came crashing in on the shores of Cape Kiwanda a few weeks back. I hope your all having a great day and thanks for looking!
Crashing waves along the coastline near Moelfre. You can just make out the snow covered mountains of Snowdonia in the background.
We were vacationing at LA and my kids wanted to see Santa Monica beach. I saw this as an opportunity to capture some nice shots of the boardwalk. I wanted to capture the streaks of reflecting lights on the wet sandy beach. That meant timing the waves.

Huge waves broke over the jetty at the mouth of Morro Bay harbor yesterday. The surf was so extreme that the water inside the harbor channel was totally roiled up too. The surf was predicted to be up to 25 feet! And as each wave smashed into the breakwater it sprayed up at least 3 times that height. It was totally awe inspiring.

Thanks for visiting
After shooting down at Bat's Head, I walked back to Durdle Door for something all together more cliched. Last time I was here there was sod all light, this time there was loads so I chose a low perspective to strength the shape & movement in the waves as the foreground was lacking, and also to avoid the 2 other togs being in frame.
While being overshot and cliched, I was just happy to get something new for once!

We would have never known about this dry creek bed if it hadn't been for a local in Milbrodale, NSW on Putty Road. It was interesting to see the water lines on this creek bed and how high the water has been over the years.

The waves coming and going, their play.
Taking image after image and then stared some more taking it all in, no other sounds but the sea, the clean air filling the nostrils, the salty taste on the lips...

Just a wave . . . taken during a sunrise shoot at Burwood Beach, NSW, Australia.
This beach is located about 800 metres south of Merewether Ocean Baths and is a nice quiet location with few if any people around.
