Here we're moving the trail up the hill slightly, again the goal is to get the trail to descend into low, wet areas and then climb out of them so that the natural flow of water across the slope and through the soil is as natural as possible.

The Bear Grass was profuse in a couple of areas, but either past prime or perhaps still juvenile.

Along the Garden Loop where huge boulders lay and wait for climbers to practise the art of bouldering.

Photos from The Enchantments. Soaking up the fall season while the larches are in their prime time. The landscape changed as the sun rose higher. Started with golden misty morning views with a finale of an unreal blue lake. It was great to see so many people enjoying a day hike or backpacking further!

creating nice flowing curves was a high priority and we used many pin flags to keep a precise alignment.

Once fully de-compacted we'll toss the sod and extra soil from the new alignment construction on to the old trail and rake it to match the native slope.

The work area is roped off and ready for the next crew to backfill the sheet drains with sand and finish laying 3/4" minus gravel.

Sight Seeing at Mt. Si. This plane entertained us while we were on top making several passes above and below us.

Once the re-alignement was useable, we created a detour off of the old trail with flagging and started de-compacting the old trail.
