A Ukrainian soldier smokes in the ruins of an apartment building in Kharkiv's devastated Saltivka district, 26 April, 2022. More than 230 civilias and 110 soldiers have been killed in the city and 1600 residential homes destroyed by Russian shelling, city officials said.

"One of the men in red platoon had the idea to call this overlook Sunset Heights. It's the sort of name they gave to places in the Nineteen-Fifties. Full of optimism. Not exactly a Utopia up here but you can't deny the view is breathtaking. I've yet to ask him whether he was being sincere or ironic when he chose it. Somehow it fits."

Inspired by Fallout and Gone with the Blastwave. If you haven't already, I suggest checking out the latter. Quite funny, and a really good art style.

It was a bit like watching a warzone - Halloween celebrations in Portaferry (thanks to Rodney for the title)

Definitely a different viewpoint compared to filling your frame with a couple fireworks. We hiked up to the top of Tiger Mountain to watch multi-city fireworks. It looked like a warzone. In this shot you can see Renton, Tacoma, Puyallup, Issaquah and other cities.

A few months ago, the Irondequoit town Public Works building burned to the ground. I managed to drive by there a few days ago, and got a few photos as the sun was setting. It looked almost like a warzone, and I believe the town is still borrowing vehicles until they replace both their trucks and the building.

This is my version of Bonesaw. It is late in his career and he is a grizzled veteran, having been all over the world and involved in many missions.

Bonesaw is my favorite of the custom minifies that Victor has created over at eclipsebricks.com. The printed parts are outstanding and of course I had to make a few modifications of my own. :-)

The mummies wanted to get in the eastern guardian tower, but they had no battering ram to break the door down with... So they used the next best thing; a sarcophagus! As the mummies were about to start battering the door in, Aymeri and his men showed up and ambushed them on both sides.

C&C much appreciated :)

Yaquina Head’s tide pools are a savage, slimy warzone where the Pacific and the earth have been duking it out since time forgot. I stood there, boots slipping on seaweed, the air reeking of salt and rot, staring at a basalt monolith streaked with lichen like some sea god’s war paint. The pools shimmered with trapped ocean—purple starfish and swaying anemones hunting in a psychedelic mess. The waves growled, the horizon sneered, and the cold bit into my bones. It’s raw, brutal, a place where nature laughs at your existence, and all you can do is grin back at the madness.

Dismaland - Banksy 2015

The exhibit was built on the site of Weston-super-Mare's dilapidated Tropicana lido, which the anonymous Bristol street artist had visited as a child.

The subversive tourist attraction was conceived as a 'bemusement park', offering a satirical twist on mainstream resorts.

From installations on climate change and consumerism to war, surveillance and the ongoing refugee crisis - for many, the dystopian commentary remains equally as poignant today.

For Dutch notions, the Vliehors is an exceptional region as far as landscape is concerned. The dimensions of the panorama here are in no proportion to man. One is surrounded by a sand plain stretching out to the horizon or to the endless surrounding sea. This sandbank was once a dune region in which the village West Vlieland was located. The northern border of that area and the location of West Vlieland now lie at least a kilometer further north in sea. Before 1950, the Vliehors was a large sand plain, without any growth whatsoever. Since that year, Rijkswaterstaat began placing branches and reed screens on the Vliehors, creating drift dikes. Three dikes were created in this manner: the permanent dike, running from the training camp in a westerly direction, and the first and second drift dike, which lie to the west of the air force tower. Since recently, a new dune area has been forming in the shelter of these drift dikes. Primary dunes grow into a complex of dunes and the low areas in between develop quickly into salt marsh. Interesting plants grow on this salt marsh and in the dunes; the first bushes have also been reported. On the Vliehors, one can easily see how a sand plain slowly changes into a dune area. Put this on a larger scale and one can imagine how a wadden island develops from a bare beach ridge into an island covered in growth. Seals sometimes lie on the tip of the Hors. Nowadays, man is using the Vliehors more regularly. The entire area is a training terrain for the Department for Defence. They named it Cornfield Range and it is the only place in the Netherlands where fighters and bombers can practice with both practice and live ammunitions. Airplanes of the Netherlands air force and different other NATO countries are daily visitors of the range. They can hire time, named slots, to let their pilots practice their skills at the range.

This Straight Out of Camera Photo taken on Vlieland an island in the North Sea - The Netherlands. During the weekdays it's a training terrain for the NATO airforce. But in the weekend you can igore all warning signs and enjoy the dimensions of the panorama here. On this day the sand became very hot when exposed to the warm sun, easily being more than 10°C hotter than the sea air one meter above, enough to cause this inferior mirage. The real object is the blue sky and the Leopard tank in that direction, meaning we see a bright bluish patch on the ground in the distance. For exhausted travelers in the desert it appears as a lake of water. This is called a "desert mirage". Not a lot of people know about this place, so I was here all alone! It's quite an unique experience since the Netherlands has one of the highest population densities in the world. And yet I was here all alone. I'm sure this is the quietest place in the Netherlands. When you visit this place don't make a mistake to visit this place in the weekdays!

So, after seeing and apocolyse-centric episode of TG USA (shutup, it's much better nowadays), I was inspired to do this. So here we have a rougher, tougher Rogue 4x4 Titan ready for the world's end.

Hudson Pointe in the foreground, Southern Waterfront midground.

Officially designated 'MTAPC' (Multi-Terrain Amoured Personnel Carrier), the MTAPC was likened to a Bull due to its thickset and muscular appearance; thus the name stuck. It was designed and built by German manufacturer Strauss Kinetisch in 2016 for the purpose of providing Security Forces a cost-effective, fast, and maneuverable Armoured Personnel Carrier. It is now used globally, notably by UNIST. The model pictured is a MTAPC-16 used by UNIST personnel in Urban combat situations, hence the white paint-scheme.

The 'Bull' MTAPC is relatively lightly armed, and can be fitted with either one M2HB Machine Gun or one GMG. It has a capacity of up to ten persons, including a driver and passenger.

Was going to be an entry for the Brickarms Tremendous Technical contest, but I literally finished this as the deadline passed. The cabin was an absolute bitch to do. So many techniques at play that I've never used before. Oh, and the rear door opens out into a ramp for embarkation/disembarkation.

Perhaps this hints at some Modern Conflict related stuff in the near future? :3

Now, these were three warzones in one week. War isn't a fun thing.

Caution, massive technobabble wall ahead.

The Merlin is a medium gunship boasting state-of-the-art armament and armor. Its main weapon is a extremely high-power laser, capable of penetrating through most enemy armor (barely visible under the fuselage). To deal with the massive quantities of heat the laser puts out during operation, as well as to protect its delicate electronics, the weapon retracts into the body of the gunship when not being fired, protecting it and allowing it to be rapidly cooled between bursts. In addition, the Merlin has four hardpoints for extra fuel, jammers, or missiles- this model is carrying a full load of 12 self-guided bunker-buster missiles. Finally, it has two 30mm cannons (because it's totally not OP already).

The coaxial rotors and the two engines give the Merlin more manuverability and acceleration than a comparable VTOL hovership would. Top speed does suffer, however. A crew of two flies the Merlin, and they are kept informed by the large radar array in the nose.

Speed- 2

Maneuverability- 3

Armor- 5

Firepower- 5

Range- 4

Technology- 2

Cargo- 1

Total (out of maximum 30)-

Cost (total)- 22

This has been under construction for about two weeks. Built the cockpit first, then spent a while trying to build a cargo bay for troop transport. I eventually gave up on troop transport and added the engines onto the doors, then built the rest of the fuselage and the weapon pylons. The rotors came next- I realized that with nothing on top to balance out the sloping engines, it looked like a lumpy tan penguin trying to skydive. The folding laser was the final addition, when I realized I had a ton of empty space to use up inside but still no way for troops to get in. I'm quite happy with the way everything turned out here, especially the cockpit. BTW, cockpit creds go to someone, I think Andrew Somers, and the radar design is from Rancorbait. Hope you enjoyed!

PS: This will probably be available for export/files at some point.

A week after:

Alright. Shit just got worse, because looking for the third agent could get really bad. We winded up in conflict with P.E. and Mech-Prince’s forces again. Ironrazor had led a raid on us and we’ve tried holding back, with no avail. Adrian had approached his old friends for help and currently this part of L.A. is now a warzone.

We went to the hospital to scout for the third agent, while Rory has his hands full on various patients. Cobb was hacking into the mainframe, who indirectly caused a blackout for a few seconds.

Noriko goes from wall to wall, while I teleport back and forth to see if any intruder tries to come in.

Noriko: *over comlink* No sign of him yet. This is a big hospital, it’ll take time. Marc, any sign yet?

Marc: No, not yet. Where’s Trent?

Cobb: Off the grid for a while. I’ve contracted him and he’ll probably be back. Stay on duty first.

Marc: Mhmm.

Suddenly, an explosion occurs through the comms, and—-

A big whole mess is gonna come. Not sounding good.

Rory: I’ve found him! The agent, he’s here! We’ve got to get him out of here! Now——

*Somewhere unknown*:

“Give me the damn code. The friggin’ location.”

“You ain’t gonna get it.”

“Don’t think about playing with us, say it!”

“Well...it’s ok boys, leave him be. I’ll deal with him...”

I look up and see Mech-Prince, while I’m sitting in this cell, this prison fort of his, captured. At least I’m not that bruised unlike the last time, where I got really hurt. Our group has been formed since three months, and Harrington has been a common enemy of ours since then. He even found out our identity, until—-never mind that part, but long story short, he had some sort of mindwipe, he doesn’t know our identities.

“Blazefire, huh, you’ve really got some nerve.”

“Well, maybe you should turn down that psycho in you a little bit.”

“Listen, I’ve had enough games with you, give me the damn code and location! Where the #^%+ is the agent?!”

“He’s in here with us, would you believe me?”

*cut back to hospital*

Marc: Crap. We’ve been running for minutes, what floor is this?!

Cobb: 15th. Keep moving! His body has to stay, you can’t move him.

Rory: I have to inject him with some doses but now ain’t the time. Hurry, lads!

Noriko: I see men behind those walls...they’re trying to ambush us. We take this route.

I throw bombs at the other wall where the men are heading, and the impact manages to hold them away, as I spray my bullets at a few more rushing in.

The escape route was harder, even if I had to teleport, it would take time as the lockdown by Ironrazor would neglect my abilities to get out of here. Getting through walls wouldn’t do help either way.

Rory: I might know a better path, easy or hard?

Cobb: I could hack an illusion...unless someone is willing to step up for it and hold them off at the same time. We’ve only got 5 minutes to take him elsewhere.

Marc: I’ll go.

My guns are ready as my team escapes, and at the ground I see Barrett there.

Ironrazor: No escape for you, eh, Teleshift?

Marc: Get through me first, f***er.

Ironrazor: What a pleasure.

We both raise our weapons as I hear my team making a escape, and I’m 1 against more than a dozen guys...
