A warning sign on the Elephant pen at the Santa Barbara Zoo.

Recently I've been taking my Project 365 pictures really early in the day. This is a good thing, of course, as it means I'm not rushed to find a photo to make sure I fill the quota.

Today, however, I hadn't found anything to shoot before or during work so I needed to resort to the train. This photo is of one of the heavy metal doors that separate the cars as well as the pretty conspicuous warning sign on them.

Of course people ignore them completely.

I do have to say that the sever overcrowding that's struck the CTA recently has had one advantage. No one bothers trying to transfer between cars anymore since they know there's no better one.

An old photo, but I doubt that much has changed...

What does this warning mean? Perhaps the cartoon character is telling you that you can't walk through the fence, you must climb over.

Nice strange type assembly here.

I love how the word "or" is artistically diagonal, and SENTENCE is in all caps. Not the entire sentence, just the word SENTENCE. Because "jail" isn't intimidating, but SENTENCE is! This was taken on the Queen Mary in Long Beach. I'm pretty sure this sign was behind glass, which is why it's a little fuzzy and yellow.

... or no soiled and dirty hands?

Possibly the most graphic "Keep out!" sign I've ever seen. It was on the fence round a container port, perhaps Keppel Container Terminal. I didn't want to make it too obvious that I was taking photos, so I didn't like to get any closer...
