Intentional camera movement can create awe-inspiring atmosphere in a frame. Shot without tripod to get a free choice of the way i wanna move. The photograph was done in Magdeburg inside a lost place. The movement hasn‘t been continous but with intervalls of stop and move!
Very late afternoon in Pagudpud, Philippines as the sun sets to the west over the mountains. Monochrome tint added for effect.

Where the tide whispers softly and a lone soul lingers at sea, the day dissolves into silence and gold.
there are faces that carry their own weather. hers arrived with warmth, the kind that settles on surfaces and stays, long after the afternoon has moved on.
not all shadows are cold. some are warm, filled with the memory of the sun. she walks through an alley, but it is not a dark place. it is a quiet corridor of sepia and gold. she is a figure in a faded photograph, a character in a half-remembered dream. the moment is soft, the light is gentle. it is not about the drama of the contrast, but the harmony of the tones. a quiet, painterly scene from a forgotten afternoon.
My photograph is a study in contrast and ambiguity. Drenched in a heavy, almost apocalyptic golden-orange light, the scene is split between the wild earth and the immense geometry of human industry.
In the foreground, a dark, mysterious canopy of trees is engulfed by a thick, swirling layer of mist. This ground fog, illuminated by the intense backlight, obscures the landscape, rendering the immediate world unclear and giving the viewer a sense of standing at the edge of the known. The trees stand as sentinels—organic, natural, and silenced by the atmospheric haze. And rising above this wild, shrouded foreground, the nuclear power station looms, its massive concrete forms dominating the horizon. The distinct dome of the containment building confirms its identity as a source of immense energy. Yet, even this symbol of modern technological prowess is softened and made indistinct by the sheer weight of the atmosphere.
My title, "Unclear Power," speaks directly to this duality. Hopefully, it suggests that the energy that lights our cities and runs our lives—a power that is essential, immense, and ultimately unseen—is also one that carries a profound, often obscured risk. The unsettling colour palette and the veil of mist capture the complex, ambiguous emotions associated with this force: the awe of human achievement mixed with a subtle, yet persistent, anxiety about what lies beneath the haze. I wanted my photograph to be a dramatic visual statement on the uneasy relationship between the natural world and the massive infrastructure required to fuel modern civilisation.
the pigeon stood there, bold and unbothered, as if it had ordered the beer itself. sunlight sliced through the shadows, carving shapes on the wooden table. the frothy glass glowed like liquid gold, its quiet presence matching the birdâs calm defiance. two strangers at a bar, sharing a moment that didnât need words.

Coco, our previous pet dog. This was one of my first ever pictures taken in my first DSLR (technically DSLT).
By my count, there are 5 vintage tractors in here, along with one used-up golf cart and a possible lawn mower. As I was photographing the saddle (next picture), I said to the farmer, who was sitting nearby, "you got a lot of old tractors in there, it made a great picture." He laughed and said, "that's not all of them!" Evidently old tractors don't die, they just go to this guy's barn.
This shot took a little effort. Initially, the ISO was too high. But I wanted deep depth of field, so I had to keep the f/stop high. So I relied on my new monopod to give me some steadiness, and took the shutter speed down to 1/15th. That got the ISO down to a more manageable 7200. Finally, I passed it through Topaz Photo AI to deal with the noise and sharpening. It kinda came out as I envisioned it.

A young California Ground Squirrel (Otospermophilus beecheyi) pauses alertly amid a bed of sunbaked stones and sand in Southern California. Und zieht dann mit seinen über 2000 Bäumen jedes Jahr unzählige Menschen zum Wandern an. Nicht umsonst wurde der Große Ahornboden sogar zum Naturdenkmal erklärt.
Hiking at Ahornboden is an unforgettable experience, especially in autumn. The large Ahornboden in the Karwendel in Tyrol is famous for its incredibly beautiful foliage color. And then attracts with its over 2000 trees every year countless people to hike. It is not for nothing that the Große Ahornboden was even declared a natural monument.
