Reopened: 2000 as The Wapping Project a restaurant and art space by Shed 54 Ltd

Wapping Project re-used a machine-shed (Hydraulic Power Station en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wapping_Hydraulic_Power_Station) Itself disguised as a church. Theyve kept machinery in the building but it's largely a posh restaurant now. BUT, also it's an art project. These dooors and furniture in a tree reminded me of the random plastic bags that used to get lodged in the tree outside my balcony when I lived in West Ham

Ongoing exhibition was on Warhol as I went there. Didn't eat at the restaurant but the meals seemed to be nice...

Wapping old steps, lead down to the river Thames close to the Town of Ramsgate pub, apparently at low tide a post can still be seen to which pirates were chained to so that they would drown with the incoming tide.
