I finally got to meet some more Handmade Philly members and see their great products: Tanna of Love Honor Upcycle (bridal accessories and jewelry) and Christina of Momo Trees (vintage fabric handbags and wallets).
I'm into this wallet-making at the moment. Here's the second one. Already it is a lot more 'right' than the first one, though there's still a lot of little things, I want to do differently.
Outside's this retro fabric, I like a lot - and inside's Amy Butlers Coriander, my all-time favourite print, I think.
A coin pocket with a zipper, six card-pockets and two pockets for... for something. This one does not have a pocket for bank notes, since I found the first one (see it here - www.flickr.com/photos/notyetthedodo/5890030617/in/photost... ) to have simply too many pockets and too much material in it... so this is a try. Hmmmm. Wonder, if that pocket will be missed - the zippered pocket is large enough to stuff even a few notes into it, perhaps....
And I wonder, MMM-partner, if you would fancy something like this in your swap from me?

I made an atlas cover for an all-girl road trip, we had a blast. LOVE this fabric by Alexander Henry.
My wife usually buys me a wallet once a year, for my birthday. But last two years she couldn't find one, so I've been using the same wallet for about two and a half years now. The coin zipper doesn't work anymore, so she always gets to keep the change whenever I buy something. Foul play is suspected :-)
But today we found one! The exact same model I have, in fact. It didn't have to be the exact same, don't get me wrong! I'm not one of those people that don't tolerate change very well... I'm open to the new. I would have been equally happy with another model of Garfield wallet... or a Sponge Bob wallet... or Bob the Builder... or...
Oh, the wallet on the left is the new one and the one on the right is the old one. Who'd a guessed it, huh?

I am working on a new batch of tomboy wallets, and here I'm showing the inside view before everything gets stitched together. This is where the cards and the paper money goes. The lower pocket pattern is what will be on the outside of the wallet.
