* Wallet for both bills and change. Made entirely out of flea market finds: curtain fabric, embroydered lace, zipper, snap closures and a piece of a placemat, inserted in the back for sturdiness.

I spent the afternoon working on a few small projects since I'm in between big quilt projects. Made these adorable tea wallets from this tutorial. The one on the left (with the butterflies) will be going to my grandmother (who's up at Mayo Clinic for 2 months), and I think I will keep the one on the right - perfect for taking tea bags in my purse.
Pocket Daytimer wallets. The top one is one I used for a few years about twenty-five years ago. The other two I picked up at a thrift shop for a dollar each. Don't know if or when I'll use them, but I like having them!
I needed a wallet badly! My Blythe wallet was broken since 1 year at least. The coins were rattling around in the backpack. A little embarrassing to fish for them when paying.
Had this idea for a while, but now I finally went to make it.

The top one is my current wallet, the on at the bottom is an improvement and still needs some tweaks.
The hardest part is adding a way to hold credit cards without that the notebook starts to buldge too much (like it is now).
This wallet comes complete with a standard deck of playing cards, spiral notebook and scoring pencil. This is perfect for travel or carrying in your backpack or purse. You'll be ready to play cards whenever and wherever you want!

We discovered these potato chips while in Croatia. They were so good, we went thru 4 bags while on our trip. I brought the bags home and made these from them!

My old wallet was dying a slow and painful death, and then I killed it with wine. Over the years I've made several mockups as a replacement but could never settle on something I liked as traditional patterns never really accounted for cell phones.
So this is what I came up with!
Here is the interior, there is a slot for bills and a pocket for my phone (as well as candy or chapstick). And of course slots for cards!
