Attempt #1 left me with far to many folds. I realized some inefficiencies in my design and started over
A blast from the past, when the only way to see your photos was to take the film to the local chemists to be processed returning a week later to collect the results.
Recently a batch of old photo/negative wallets came into my possession, not sure of the date of this one but someone may have an accurate date.
My old wallet was dying a slow and painful death, and then I killed it with wine. Over the years I've made several mockups as a replacement but could never settle on something I liked as traditional patterns never really accounted for cell phones.
So this is what I came up with!
Here is the interior, there is a slot for bills and a pocket for my phone (as well as candy or chapstick). And of course slots for cards!
I like the shape and size of this wallet. The instructions are straight forward. The way the curve is created on the flap is brilliant.

I normally don't carry a handbag. My phone has not yet replaced my wallet, unlike many european phones it cannot be used as an ID for billing though it does include a SIM card. These items are always on my body... to put them in a handbag (purse) would somehow feel like putting them in solitary confinement. Punishing them by taking them away from the warmth. How would I feel the gentle pleasing vibration of my phone ringing? how would I 'know' if my wallet had 'gone missing' if I couldn't feel it against my body, soft and warm. Actually there is normally one key as well... I'd hung this up when I came home as is my habit so it wasn't in my pocket when I emptied them to take this picture...

The iPod wallet, perfect for stashing spare cash and other small, but important odds and ends.
I decided to go with Velcro to keep the iPod wallet shut. I couldn't find a hinge that fit well and looked nice and any magnetic fastening would probably kill credit cards I might put in. It's not very fancy, but it works and doesn't make the outside ugly.

My newest handmade wallet.
The color theme is from a hydrangea.
Which is purple and pink coordination.
I also add some flowers lace at the front as a hydrangea.
And inside is a modification from the old one that I made.
I add more card slot and change the coin zipper to the center of the wallet.
Made from a Japanese fabrics in my collection.
Please note that I made it for personal use.
And I don't have a plan to sell or accept any order.
