My first piece of Como street photography, two eldery men, one even more overdressed for the weather than I was. It was important for me to capture the people as well as the place.
The first thing on my to do list for the day was to get gas. It took two trips to the gas station to do this as I forgot my wallet the first time and had to drive home to get it. I spent the rest of the day running other errands and shopping. It turned out to be a fairly productive day.
Super thin was a goal. My previous walled was tick and full of pockets which allowed me to stuff it full of things I don't need and never use and rendered it to big for my pocket. A small and simpler wallet should discourage such hoarding.

I wanted to make a wallet... and so I simply threw myself into it yesterday. And for a frist attempt it turned out pretty good, I find - and three of the four pockets for credit cards can actually hold a credit card :-)!
Made from a leftover of japanese fabric, scraps and cupcakes. I will make more of this and learn from the mistakes. Quite a few Ooopses in it.
Maybe I should check out a few online tutorials - does anybody know of good ones?

* Wallet for both bills and change. Made entirely out of flea market finds: curtain fabric, embroydered lace, zipper, snap closures and a piece of a placemat, inserted in the back for sturdiness.

I had to purchase this wallet especially for Euro bills to fit in. But my North American lifestyle full of credit and promo cards fits in perfectly as well.
This is my Jimi™. There are many like it, but this one is mine. It has spent the last three or four years sharing a pocket with my house keys and has stood up pretty well.
Built myself a new duct tape wallet as the old one was wearing out.
I built the pockets around the cards I wanted to hold into them, with the sticky parts out, stuck those to the pocket of the wallet base, and then added tape on top to hold them on. I really needed a tri-fold wallet after having a bi-fold for a long time, so I made what I wanted.

THERE IS a FLickr group which shows photographic shop delivery ephemera. So I scanned this one, slightly overwritten. They were processed through P-P-S on which nothing else is visible - no address or firm's name. Does anyone know any more?? The rubber agency stamp on the back was from the Chelmsford Star Co-operative Society.
