[1] I'll never need this. My National Insurance number is burned into my brain from completing dozens of unemployment benefit and job application forms when I was 18.

[3] I need to get rid of that. I'm against loyalty cards as I object to stores profiling you based on what you buy from them. Sadly Matalan will only let you shop with them if you have one of their cards. I need to find somewhere else to buy my underwear and work shirts from.

The main reason for the picture was that, for the first time in aeons, I wrote a letter tonight. A proper pen-on-paper "here's what I've done with my life in the four years since we last spoke" letter, and needed a stamp.

Yesterday and today, I felt sort of like Ferris Bueller. News got out that my wallet was missing at Computers in Libraries, and I felt such overwhelming support and concern. People were posting about it on Twitter and getting the news out by word of mouth. Friends gave me cash to get home. This afternoon, I got a text from my friend Maurice that someone posted on the CiL Twitter feed that a woman's wallet had been found in a meeting room and had been given to the moderator. Thankfully it was mine.
And thankfully, there is a wonderful community spirit at CiL that made an incredibly stressful day, a little less traumatic for me. Would that everyone have such wonderful friends and a caring community.
The Boy required a wallet. A growing boy accumulates money and so he needs something to put it in. I'm happy enough to oblige with a simple felt and laminated linen affair, with enough space to carry all that a just-this-side-of-kindergarten boy might need to paint the town pink.
