7/28/2013. It one of my favorite things to do. Waking up at 9am is nice, especially since I wake up at 6am during the work week.

I just woke up and I am getting ready for work. I feel strange about taking a selfie in the bathroom, but I will have to get used to letting other people into my life --such is the nature of photography. I tried to use different setting on my camera, but with no such luck. I look forward to learning how to manipulate my camera.
This photo was taken in Zuid-Holland, in country Netherlands. It was sunrain when I made this photo. The prognosis was partly sunny showers around. Taken on Thursday, August 12, 2010 8:51:42 AM and context-tagged with IYOUIT.

(The view from my bed first thing in the morning. The line is from a song: " ... I want you to be / The first thing that I see; / I want to wake up with you". (Fortunately, I just wake up with *me*.)

After a long day of traveling, finally arriving in Venice was a dream come true. The sun had set and the stars were out, shining brilliantly over the city. Gondolas floated under bridges and past buildings, the faint sound of singing drifting on the air. I woke up early the next morning to explore everything Venice had to offer. The narrow streets were quiet and empty; most people were still asleep after staying up late enjoying the city's nightlife. As I walked, I got lost in the beauty of it all- canals with gondolas lazily gliding by, old churches with intricate details, narrow alleys lit by gas streetlights. It was like a fairytale come to life.
