I've only driven through this town a few times, always after picking up a meat load in Gaylord Minnesota. A Michael Farrell, a friend of ours on Flickr mentioned it before, I think he has a relative that lives here. Anyway, decided if I'd try to get a decent picture as I passed through. I was making a right turn and had a green light, but no cars behind, so I stopped in the intersection and took a picture.

Early morning sunrise in Malibu, CA.

This time of year the early wakeup can be brutal. Sunrise was 5:42 on saturday, summer solstice. I was pretty excited when wasn't 'til 5:43 locally this morning.

Welcome to the coming of a new morning. Blessed by the moon with the allure of mystery. This photo marks a personal change for me. Rarely would my camera see the light prior to noon. Now 5:45am wakeup times call. Getting out this early on a more regular basis has given me more energy and revealed a new side of nature.
