I made this framed silicon CPU wafer. In this picture, you see the details of the back. I used white LED's, so they are low on power usage. I also used AAA batteries, so there would be no wires hanging from the picture. Also, a push button switch on the back of the frame, so that you can simply press it on and off to light up the wafer.

Body's done with Mia's Necco Wafer Hoodie, minus A LOT of end-weaving-in. I haven't done intarsia in quite some time but I'm pretty pleased with it (don't look at the right side - that's the side that has all the ends-in-waiting).

Up next - sleeves, top down, in the round. I'll have almost no finishing on this except all those ends.

This is a somewhat new release from Kit-Kat Japan, another white chocolate offering flavored with melon. Melon is quite popular in Japan with some higher-end fruits fetching thousands of dollars. There have been several varieties of melon-flavored Kit-Kat. The most recent being an airport exclusive Melon & Mascarpone variety which was also released as Big Littles (Bites).

Tokyo, Japan.

Americas oldest candy and my favorite as far back in my childhood as I can remember. When Necco went all natural they dropped the green wafers. I had trouble finding packs with green. If you are familiar with Necco Wafers you will notice no black or brown wafers. Thats because black and brown aren't very pretty colors but more importantly I don't care for chocolate or licorice and never have.

Coconut are still my favorite.

Hong Kong, China.

This week I decided to try to create a cupcake all on my own. Yikes...pretty much up to now I have followed someone else's recipe to the letter. I put some more thought into how I could create a Banana Pudding Cupcake and here's what I came up with. Check out my blog, 52 Cupcakes, for the recipe.

What is she supposed to be?!

A creamy banana pudding topped with a crunchy crumble.

That's right. Wafers. These are the best wafers in the world. And after complaining to my South African boyfriend for years that you don't get them here in Cape Town, I finally found them.

Haha. Lame? Maybe. But as wafers go, they are still rather awesome.
