That automatic in camera stuff does have a snag, it uses 3D matrix metering which will only work with a CPU lens.

 

That excludes the lens I mostly use for desktop studio / macro work....a 55mm AiS Micro Nikkor.

 

Which also answers MML's question; no I 'm not a Canonian. Not that I have anything against Canon mind, I think they make some excellent photocopiers.......
