N&W no. 611 passes a small farm in the city of Jamestown, NC on her inaugural run from Spencer, NC to Roanoke, VA following restoration.
Leica M9 + Leica Summicron 90mm f2 (1973)
Sunlight + speedlight + lens flare from having the hood pushed in. The Cron 90f2 flares nicely without the hood.. if you like that look. Normally the hood is out so i've not eally seen it before like this.
Another photo from my Coventry 1-2-1 portrait photography workshop using a mix of daylight and speedlights.

On Sunday morning we had an escorted tour of the P&W engine facility in Worcester, MA. 4301 is a former FEC SD70M-2 100 that has been repainted in the classy P&W scheme. Another unit was in the paint shop. Modifications to allow operation on the NEC include lowering the numberboards and moving the horn to the side of the long hood. The Photoshop "pole removal tool" was used in processing this image.
Hanging out at mom's house with dad, Jake and Andrea. Took a trip back to Arizona to help Andrea move to Austin.
Made a B/W version to order a print of.. woo.

Inconfundible el diseño del plumaje del vuelvepiedras (Arenaria interpres) en vuelo. Siempre me ha parecido una especie de "W" blanca, especialmente cuando van muy rápidos con las alas semi-plegadas cortando el viento como cuchillos.

The pattern of the turnstone's (Arenaria interpres) plumage in flight is unmistakable. It has always looked like a kind of white "W" to me, especially when they are flying very fast with their wings half-folded, cutting through the wind like knives.
