When Bug and I went for a drive the other day, we came upon this intoxicating sunset.
Wishing you a lovely weekend and appreciate your views, likes and comments. :))
We always seem to see a lot of these old VW Bugs when in Mexico. We found this one in San Miguel de Allende this past summer. This is obviously over-processed a bit in honor of Sliders Sunday. HSS!
A heavily-picked-over shell of a Volkswagen Type 1 ‘Beetle’ Cabriolet sits abandoned and neglected on waste ground on the Ionian island of Kefalonia, Greece. Practically every small component was stripped from this example, including any ID/VIN tags, so it is hard to determine what specific year this car was built. Probably a post-1968 model, built in the 1970s.
Having visited Kefalonia for 17 years, older cars such as these and abandoned “interesting” relics in general are becoming increasingly harder to find. However, there are still a few examples I find each time I visit which I haven’t previously discovered.
A lone VW Beetle hiding in plain sight among a line of classic Chevrolet pickups waiting to be restored.
Taken in Ojai, California, USA.
Happy Sunday! Feliz Domingo!

Pink it's my new obsession
Yeah, pink it's not even a question,
Pink on the lips of your lover, 'cause
Pink is the love you discover
Pink as the bing on your cherry
Pink 'cause you are so very
Pink it's the color of passion
'Cause today it just goes with the fashion
Pink it was love at first sight
Pink when I turn out the light, and
Pink gets me high as a kite
And I think everything is going to be all right
No matter what we do tonight
You could be my flamingo
'Cause pink is the new kinda lingo
Pink like a deco umbrella
It's kink - but you don't ever tell her
Pink it was love at first sight, and
Pink when I turn out the light
Pink gets me high as a kite
And I think everything is going to be all right
No matter what we do tonight
Yeah yeah YEAH
I want to be your lover
I wanna wrap you in rubber
As pink as the sheets that we lay on
'Cause pink is my favorite crayon, yeah
Pink it was love at first sight
Pink when I turn out the light
Yeah pink it's like red but not quite
And I think everything is going to be all right
No matter what we do tonight

Strobe photography using a single Einstein Strobe with a 24" Westcott collapsible beauty dish attached. I took several shots and combined them in Photoshop using the "LIGHTEN" blend mode on all layers except my base layer, I then put a black layer mask and then painted (revealed) the light exposure in for each exposure.

I dedicate this image to Rosita Lollipop who gave me a much needed lift yesterday and put a smile back on my face when the traffic warden wiped it off.
Found the 3 elements (chair, vw plant pot and statue) really interesting.
