This young robin doesn't appear to know how to fly. He showed very little fear of me, yet was on the ground. I am hoping a parent was caring for him, but did not see one.

Due to the loss of lives of several vulnerable youth in the Cowichan Valley area, community partners who care and support the youth have been advocating for this program. Every effort has been taken to support these young people while out on the streets and now there will be a physical space open 24/7 for them to land when needed. Cowichan Tribes leadership has been instrumental in this project as the Indigenous youth are overrepresented in both vulnerability and number of lives lost. Learn more: news.gov.bc.ca/31055

The most climate vulnerable village located on the remote islet called Kisiwa Panza, just south of the island of Pemba. The rice field (in bright green) and the village are almost totally surrounded by the encroaching sea. The overwhelmed Mangrove vegetation acts as a buffer between the sea and the local community, making them one of the most exposed communities in Zanzibar. Will the Government declare this village a climate risk zone?

Facts about Yemen
Two years of relentless conflict in Yemen have devastated the lives of millions of people. Yemen is now facing a protection and humanitarian crisis that is quickly engulfing a large part of its population. An alarming 18.8 million people - almost two thirds of the population - need some kind of humanitarian or protection support. Some 10.3 million are in acute need of assistance. This means they need aid to sustain their lives. This man-made disaster has been brutal on civilians. Currently, 17 million people are food insecure while a staggering seven million people do not know where their next meal is coming from and are at risk of famine. At least three million people have fled their homes, public services have broken down, less than half of the health centres are functional and medicine and equipment are limited. Access to safe water has become a major challenge and the lack of proper sanitation has increased the risk of communicable diseases. A child under the age of 5 dies every 10 minutes of preventable causes.
