In the spirite of the spring and new life. I was cleaning my workstation and came across a memory stick and found this old scanned slide of this little guy on it. I remember this image distinctly. I happened to go out to my backyard garden one early morning, maybe 5 years ago now, to find him waiting for it's wings to dry; he was freshly molted. It gave me ample time to get to set up and get nice close to it

Due to the loss of lives of several vulnerable youth in the Cowichan Valley area, community partners who care and support the youth have been advocating for this program. Every effort has been taken to support these young people while out on the streets and now there will be a physical space open 24/7 for them to land when needed. Cowichan Tribes leadership has been instrumental in this project as the Indigenous youth are overrepresented in both vulnerability and number of lives lost. Learn more: news.gov.bc.ca/31055

In our 5-day mission to help vulnerable families in Hodeidah governorate in western Yemen. In our fifth day we decided to help 150 families living in al-Mekhraf village of Hess district. No one else before Mona Relief's ground crew reached out families there because the area very close to the battlefield and it is sunny and windy area. Despite that we went there and we reached people there and delivered them 150 food aid packages funded by an anonymous Kuwaiti donor and dignity kits funded by IOM Yemen.
As soon as, Mona Relief's ground crew had finished delivering food aid and dignity kits to families there we headed to Sana'a. As we arrived in the capital Sana'a we received a phone call telling us that 6 volunteers in Hess got arrested by security authorities who accused them of breaking the law and distributed food aid funded by a Kuwaiti donor and that is not allowed because Kuwait participating in the war in the country.
Anyway, after several call to our friends to help us to release them we could make and our volunteers got freed. That was very disappointed act conducted by authorities there indeed because the distance that we travelled to reach out people there is almost 560 km far from Sana'a. Later Mona Relief's volunteers told us later that the security authorities were looking for us to be arrested.

Sustained Investigation: What is your sustained investigation statement? My sustained investigation statement is 'The detrimental effects of determinism in our world'.
Materials: What materials were used?
The materials I used were an egg (a cracked open egg), black paper, and my camera, a Canon EOS M50.
Idea: Share the concept or story behind this photo. How did you interpret the Sustained Investigation?
The concept behind this photo is that once we damage something we only make a mistake greater than intended, which leads it to only breaking more and creating more chaos than the original state it was in.
Process: What process was used? How did you take this photo? How do the materials relate to the idea?
The process used was that I cracked an egg on black paper and the materials relate to the idea because a cracked egg leaves the yolk of an egg vulnerable to be damaged and trying to fix it will only make the whole yolk become "messy" similar to how we would try to go fix our mistakes in the past once they have been exposed to us, and they would become disoriented if we mess with them.
038:
went to a Tet festival at Phuc Loc Tho today. I went here last week too…but today was really crowded.
okay. so AMAZING story behind this picture…i saw this bubble like 9 feet away from me. And …surprisingly…considering the amount of craziness happening (people running around) …this bubble was never popped. I followed it for about a minute while it kept floating down the market. and i didnt take any other pictures of it…cept for this. haha. it was about to pop everytime someone would walk by it…but the wind literally blew it a centimeter away from them.
so the bubble ended up falling into a fountain in the end. :]
