A day late for my friends in Pennsylvania.
Location is approximate and from memory.
Parliament has been promised a meaningful vote on the Brexit deal. But what, exactly, is Parliament being asked to decide? And what happens if Parliament votes the deal down?
At our panel discussion Raphael Hogarth, Research Associate at the Institute for Government, presented key findings from Voting on Brexit, the Institute for Government’s new paper on Parliament and the Brexit deal.
The paper sets out what the Government has to do in Parliament to get its deal though, and give effect to the withdrawal agreement in domestic law. It also identifies a number of risks to the timetable.
The vote, the politics and the constitutional implications was discussed by our panel:
The Rt Hon. Dominic Grieve QC MP, Conservative MP for Beaconsfield and former Attorney General
The Rt Hon. the Baroness Smith of Basildon, Shadow Leader of the House of Lords and Shadow Spokesperson (Northern Ireland)
George Parker, Political Editor, Financial Times
This event was chaired by Dr Hannah White, Director of Research at the Institute for Government.

With our Canadian election coming up soon, I thought it was a good time to post this statue from our summer holidays. It stands in Quebec City and it commemorates the right for women to vote for the first time. I am definitely going to exercise my right again this year.
Self-described evangelist and minister Linda Simmons sits outside the Claremont Library on election day, encouraging Southern California voters to choose Jesus. When asked whether she preferred Biden or Trump, she said, "Neither. I choose Jesus."

"Bad politicians are sent to Washington by good people who don't vote."
~William E. Simon
Only two days left to do so in the United States. If you don't vote, you are actually voting for the worst of the two.
HSS!
Don't forget thr health check questions and your facemask for this year;s elections. Due to the coronavirus a lot of things are different now. But voting itself is still done with a red pencil here.
I urge all of my friends in the USA to make time to vote in this important mid-term election. Your vote DOES COUNT!

Not implying anything here, other than Chester 'wants' to be president of the USA.
Ashamed to say, I can not vote. I'm not a resident of any state. When I moved to California I figured it was very temporary and refused to become a resident. Well, guess what, I'm still here. I will attempt to get a driver's license in autumn.
I had this idea for a while. It took my contact Karol to post a rubber duck photo, to get me off my butt and make the poster and shoot it.
Poppy got brushed to get the hair. I felt like I was using her, but it was a win win for both of us.
If you like Chester. He has a album of us own.

The US is at a crossroads, and I hope we make the correct decision this time. Received my ballot in the mail today and immediately voted and dropped it in the local drop box.
