THAT LOOK X DIOR
The girls first challenge is working with the iconic and historical fashion house Christian Dior. The girls will be modelling on a bespoke shoot in Paris, especially for Dior. Wearing pieces from their Haute Couture AW 2012 collection in celebration of Raf Simons joining the house, and with it being one of his first couture collections.
However we want you to get involved and choose which look the girls will be wearing! Simply comment;
#Cici #Taya #Ivy
followed by the look you would like to see them wear;
Look1, Look2 or Look3.
The girl with the most votes for the look will be wearing it for the shoot!
October 17, 2020: Every vote counts. Rise and Resist talk to voters at the Staten Island Ferry terminal.
Not entirely being flippant here (not at all, actually). This weekend in my state of New South Wales (Australia) we have elections for local government.
So, if you live here, and you haven't voted, remember to Vote Green.
They are the only party that consistently pushes policies that are trying to save the world from the toxic patriarchal neoliberal capitalist system that is hell bent on destroying the planet, and sentencing our children to a bleak future.
And another thing: For our community, the Greens are the only party that has consistently been pro-LGBTIA for decades, with even their cis-het members happy to show ally-ship in their use of personal pronouns.
Should have panned to the right - someone had used the pencil to scrawl: "lame!" on the bench. That's what you get for letting teenagers vote, I guess...
Pioneer Woman statue on the TWU Denton campus
Early voting started today in Texas. I also wonder how someone reached up there to place the 'I Voted' sign.
'The 15-foot-tall statue, made of Georgian white marble, was sculpted by New York City artist Leo Friedlander during a three-year period at a cost of $25,000. It was unveiled at TWU in 1938 in honor of the Texas Centennial. It stands as a tribute to spirit of pioneer women of Texas.' (www.twu.edu/tour/pioneer-woman-statue.asp)

Has this sign caused wrecks on Gay Street, north of 17th? I almost crashed when driving by. I immediately dropped by Phil's place and he grabbed his camera and bike when I told him not to drive there. I didn't have my camera so I had to return later. Ah turdo a' turdo I suppose.
I voted a while back after receiving my ballot by mail and then verified my ballot drop box was not a party scam before depositing it there. The day after a holiday, I received an e-mail saying my ballot was received at county HQ. Later, I found another e-mail announcing that my signature was validated and 10-4 Eleanor. I guess Colorado's system could be easier... but how? My drop box is located almost on the way to Phil's and very few blocks from my local Safeway market. Ah, there must be snags everywhere to voting. Well, elsewhere other than Colorado. That is three dropbox ballot returns on my last 3 elections. I didn't see a single covid anywhere on the dropbox left exposed along the city park. Nobody else came by during my brief stop at the box. There are always more drops in our county - way more than one per Texas county. I assume they will build ever more drop boxes in the future.
