Dettifoss is a waterfall in Vatnajökull National Park in Northeast Iceland, and is reputed to be the most powerful waterfall in Europe.[2] Dettifoss is situated on the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river, which flows from the Vatnajökull glacier and collects water from a large area in Northeast Iceland. The sediment-rich runoff colors the water a greyish white.
The falls are 100 metres (330 ft) wide and have a drop of 44 metres (144 ft) down to the Jökulsárgljúfur canyon. It is the largest waterfall in Iceland in terms of volume discharge, having an average water flow of 193 m³/s. The superlative of "most powerful" comes from its water flow times its fall distance. The water of the wide Jökulsá á Fjöllum river falls for more than 44 metres.[3] The Norwegian Sarp Falls (Norwegian: Sarpefossen or Sarpsfossen) has a greater average water flow, but only with about half the height of Dettifoss.
* It was cold and showery when we went to Loch Ness but from time to time the sun did make an appearance . It looks the best part of the day to drive round the Loch with stops for walks. Its a very long narrow Loch and the road on the southern side is single track so progress is slow . And before anyone asks we did not see the the monster frankly its as likely at Trump telling the truth

It takes its name from the River Ness, which flows from the northern end..At 22 sq mi, Loch Ness is the second-largest Scottish loch by surface area after Loch Lomond, but due to its great depth it is the largest by volume in Great Britain. Its deepest point is 755 feet, making it the second deepest loch in Scotland after Loch Morar. It contains more water than all the lakes in England and Wales combined,

Zum Allerheiligenwochenende 2024 kehrten kurzfristig lokbespannte Wendezüge auf die KBS 945 zurück, um das gestiegene Fahrgastaufkommen aufgrund der Streckensperrung zwischen Freilassing und Rosenheim zu bewältigen. Den Reisenden nach München wurde nämlich nahe gelegt, den Weg über Mühldorf zu nehmen. Passende Fotostellenden gibt es an dieser Strecke nicht allzu viele. Um etwas Variation hinein zu bringen, wurde der Blick von oben gewählt. Hier sieht man am 01. November 2024 bei Salling die 218 498 die RB 27978 in Richtung Mühldorf schieben. Im Hintergrund kann man den Kirchturm von Kay erkennen, der Landstrich dahinter gehört dann schon zu Österreich.
For the All Saints' weekend in 2024, locomotive-hauled push-pull trains returned to the KBS 945 at short notice in order to cope with the increased passenger volume due to the line closure between Freilassing and Rosenheim. Travellers to Munich were advised to take the route via Mühldorf. There are not too many suitable photo spots on this route. To add some variation, the view from above was chosen. Here you can see 218 498 pushing RB 27978 towards Mühldorf near Salling on 01 November 2024. In the background you can recognise the church tower of Kay, the area behind it already belongs to Austria.

This work done in graphite, is taken from a volume "Painters in comparison" in which similar works by different artists are shown (Diane Wright, and Martin Taylor). The purpose (assuming the correct proportions!) Is to show the artists interested in carrying out this artistic theme, that the same subjects designed by different artists, show different techniques and traits, but the same for overall values! This leads us to believe that it is right that drawing is not only a visual art but also an individual language. This attachment is my work!

I needed to warm up for the night shot. To get into the comfort zone for me a natural start was to go for Black & White pictures. This trip's theme was long exposures with water. The hydro-station at Boen would be a good starting point. You can really feel the change in air pressure as you climb along the massive waterfall. You're really met with a huge roaring volume of water.

If you already have it, use the redelivery terminal to get the new tones. The Evo, Genus and Catwa versions will remain on volume 7.1
