"Our Hollow Voids" is up for grabs.
check out the big pic in order to see the awesome job the printers did with the fine details of this design.
i'm truly satisfied.
get it here:
First version of “Into the Void”, a series of audiovisual installations exploring physical structures creating light and shadows with immersive audiovisual spaces.
Project Page: visiophone-lab.com/wp/?portfolio=into-the-void
A array of triangles is placed on the floor, each one has a LED strip on the back which are connected to an Arduino. On MAX, series of random numbers generators and different probabilities trigger a signal to each triangle, making it turn on or off. Max communicates with the Arduino through Maxuino.
At the same time that a triangle is triggered a MIDI message is sent to Ableton Live and plays notes on a MIDI Instrument and an OSC message is sent to Processing for the Visual output.
Following versions will explore new possibilities as different shapes and materials, and interactions with the visitors through sensors.

One of the voids in the Jewish Museum, Berlin.
Designed by architect Daniel Libeskind, the museum building incorporates five large empty spaces within its structure, which span multiple floors and can only be glimpsed through small windows. Their emptiness is unlit and un-air-conditioned. According to Libeskind, the Voids represent "that which can never be exhibited when it comes to Jewish Berlin history: humanity reduced to ashes."

The realisation you’ve forgotten the things you cherish most creates a hole in your gut, that will never be filled. I’ve forgotten the feeling of your skin, your touch, your lips, your smell, your voice. I wish I could, if even just for a moment, get to remember all of the above things. I want to make sure I never forget any inch of you, again.
You see, the Void Dreamer explained, his wings curling round him as he held his meditative pose, the webway has a pulse and a power all of its own. The Craftworlders don't feel it. They spend far too long gazing into the dreaming future to notice the subtle fluctuations in the fabric of the present. My Commorite kin could likely feel it, if they didn't persecute any throwbacks such as myself who show an ounce of psychic potential.
Urgebelach, the Harlequins call it. The study of how you can change the webway, and how it changes you in return. Its very fabric permeates both the warp and the material universe, and with skill can act as a conduit between them. The webway has changed the fibres of my mind, and I have learnt its heartbeat. I call out to it, and its voice flows through me.
