The realisation you’ve forgotten the things you cherish most creates a hole in your gut, that will never be filled. I’ve forgotten the feeling of your skin, your touch, your lips, your smell, your voice. I wish I could, if even just for a moment, get to remember all of the above things. I want to make sure I never forget any inch of you, again.
When the Dell case's mounting brackets suck, we must resort to rubber bands, Magic Hat promotional pins, and a little blind faith. (Pun intended.)
there's a void I often visit
when it whistles through my teeth
(some try to fill it with sleep)
it lies flat and begs for help
like the thin hair
on my scalp
it rides to work
on rubber and rust
and puts all its trust in lust
because all that dirty darkness
is absolutely honest
what it wants is nothing worse
than that which made your parents
all that dead-eyed daring
the desperate doctor's handiwork
that filled in your blank staring
and gave you hope
that you'd say no
to the poison, pistol, and rope
and take the hard way down
dig all six feet
to feel the heat
through the skin of the earth
and tell yourself
that all your pain
is all your
pleasure's
worth

this one is a rework of one of my previous works (the yellow flowerlike thingie), and it's a lucky coincidence that it has nice patterns on both sides. Also it's one of the rare pieces i actually wanted to give a name.
My sister took this photo while on exhibit at OUSA 2012 at FIT. I like the angle which shows the form of the cut in the center of the folded piece, but also how it shows the interaction of the figures in the painting with the piece.
Touching The Void // Rehearsals Rehearsals
What happens when you look death squarely in the face, and how do you find the strength to crawl back towards life?

If you were experimental 1980’s funk band Bargain Basement and had created a concept album called ‘Touching the Void’ based on the memoirs of astronaut turned celebrity spiritualist ‘Mad’ Barney McPherson then this is the cover artwork I would supply you with.
Touching the Void would be an hour long audio assault featuring spoken word samples (direct from the man himself), funky basslines, stinging guitar licks and strange audio glitches as the band tried to convey Barney’s journey from respected scientist and test pilot to discredited celebrity spiritualist. Via space.
Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. For now at least.
Cheers

Their lies create an empty void where i enter in a deep dark of my mind. An obscure face of the think, an automatic reaction of the systems of defence.
// I must not go in this void!
The empty void / their lies, make me an hospital patience. //
Their lies can't create this magical distrortion in my line of normal think...
// I must go out from this place of my mind.//
I want to live, not became an psyco artist damned by the devil. I want to be happy, and with another peoples. The circle close me in forced lonelyness that mad me go out of self control. Turning in the forest, in a circle ever more dark, distant from the origin.
// The origin is the truth! to turn back in the life//.
First version of “Into the Void”, a series of audiovisual installations exploring physical structures creating light and shadows with immersive audiovisual spaces.

A array of triangles is placed on the floor, each one has a LED strip on the back which are connected to an Arduino. On MAX, series of random numbers generators and different probabilities trigger a signal to each triangle, making it turn on or off. Max communicates with the Arduino through Maxuino.
At the same time that a triangle is triggered a MIDI message is sent to Ableton Live and plays notes on a MIDI Instrument and an OSC message is sent to Processing for the Visual output.
Following versions will explore new possibilities as different shapes and materials, and interactions with the visitors through sensors.

Backstory:
Matoran and Toa alike no very little of this elder entity, most of his history has been lost to legend. When Aeon acquired the power of the Vault, he ascended to godhood. When he achieved this god like status, he created life on Aeos-magna, a planet once covered in ash and dust. What Aeon didn’t expect when he reached godhood, is that he would be joined by another god like being. After his creation of Aeos, he heard a small, faint voice call out to him. This voice brought him to the brim of the known universe, Aeos being the heart of it. Once he reached the edge, he found a chasm of nothingness in front of him, filled with nothing but darkness. In this chasm, Aeon found a purple like miasma. This miasma was the voice that beckoned him. Aeon asked for its name, but only got one response, “Void”. The miasma formed into a being, a being looking much like a twisted, darker version of Aeon.
The Void had little to say to Aeon, simply explaining Aeon’s place in this world. When Aeon was created, The Void was created consecutively. It explained how the universe has an uncanny need for balance, for control over what it makes, and that it was the answer to Aeon. Aeon could not create recklessly without consequence, and The Void was that consequence. Whatever Aeon created needed to eventually die, decay, and rot away into nothingness, and The Void was the being to bring his creation into nothing. The Void also explained that Aeon, too, would be taken by him. Obviously, Aeon refuted this, how could his paradise be taken away from him?
He left The Void in his abyss and returned to his creation, to Aeos. He tried to block that abomination from his mind, but he couldn’t ignore it. Not long after he became hands off in his world, he confronted The Void again in his little pocket of darkness. Aeon set aside his arrogance and came to terms with The Void on how the universe would run. Obviously, creation must die, Aeon saw this happen without permission, and he was willing to accept this. As long as The Void did not take his habits too far, Aeon would not either.
However, after this final meeting, both beings kept secrets to help further their agendas. The Void, in his spare time, created the Apocalypse Triggers and let their seeds sow into the myths of Aeos-Magna. Aeon, in his spare time, has created unknown way to combat the destructive force of The Void. Only the future holds what will become of the universe in a war between this gods, but for now, they do what they must, together.
