We had a wonderful time in the Okanagan Valley, such a beautiful part of our province! The smoke from the wildfires seemed to come and go. In this image, we had climbed up to Munson Mountain to get a view of the valley and of Skaha Lake, and the smoke had settled down lower. So the sky was rather strange looking, giving it an almost eerie look.
I will be trying to catch up with your latest images today and tomorrow :)

A dark oppressive gloomy evening at Ogmore, hoping for a bit of late sun to set the scene alight. I love the sombre feel of this one, sometimes grey can be a wonderful colour. Into the void seems a great title for this shot, and is by Titus Andronicus

Moving around The Besakih Temple compound is like navigating a maze, with the many temples and shacks built from foot to top of the hill.
One is unlikely to get lost, though, just follow the doorways,

The Metro 1 (Officially: Millennium Underground Railway or M1) is the oldest line of the Budapest Metro system. It is the second oldest underground railway in the world (the first being the London Underground), and the first on the European mainland. It was built from 1894 to 1896, and has been in constant operation since then. In 2002, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

One of many staircases photographed in Berlin. Taken in an office block after some negotiation with in-house security. I have posted two additional compositions to give more of a sense of it beauty. I did get some strange looks whilst photographing - I guess, if you work here you don't really acknowledge it.

Inspired by the song "Void" By Amaran, off the 2002 album " A World Depraved"
"Science and magic mingle in the garden of her creation. The two knowledges oftentimes one and the same. Behind those pillars of moss covered stone, lay that secluded garden. aqueducts lining the far corners to feed those waters into the series of pools that lay hidden in the dense foliage. All manner of blooms were born there. Some shy and shut tight, opening only with the passing touch of the architect of the place. Others proudly splayed so that their lush petals were displayed magnificently in the moonlight that fed them. There were fragrant ones who's scents would hypnotize and draw the unsuspecting closer, and the dangerous ones that were testament to nature's vicious beauty. Then there was one that embodied all of these traits, and more."
It really is hard to take a bad photo in this place. Getting the right composition though can be tricky. In this shot the canyon narrows into a small tunnel to continue your journey through the waves of contrast and colour.
