The staff at DesignElement of Durham is passionate about helping small businesses maximize their marketing dollars through the use of effectively designed advertising materials. A great option for businesses to invest in is vehicle graphics. From simple lettering to a company logo to a full vehicle wrap, DesignElement can create a wide range of customized vehicle graphics for businesses in a variety of industries.
Why Do Businesses Need Vehicle Graphics?
Offering vast advertising potential, vehicle graphics continue to boost marketing efforts, especially during the era of COVID-19. With the surge in popularity of curbside pickup and takeout, a new audience is on the roadways, and businesses can take advantage of this prime opportunity to get their message and brand in front of more people.
Vehicle graphics can receive thousands of impressions each day, and there is no other form of advertisement that costs less per impression. Wherever the company vehicle travels, the company’s message and contact information travel too. At every red light, stop sign, parking lot, intersection, and roadway, potential customers are being exposed to the brand, and well-designed vehicle graphics invite people to interact with the business. If a business has already invested in a company car, truck, van, or bus, vehicle graphics can take this investment to the next level by using vehicles as promotional tools.
Are Vehicle Graphics Effective?
An article from QuickBooks highlights the value of vehicle graphics, specifically vehicle wraps. The article cites the following statistics:
“Individual vehicle advertising generates between 30,000-70,000 daily vehicular impressions.”
“Mobile advertising generates 2.5 times more attention than a static billboard.”
“Messages on outdoor mobile billboards have a 97% recall rate.”
In addition, advertising on a vehicle is a highly efficient and effective form of marketing. A vehicle wrap can run a cost, on average, as low as $0.04 per one thousand impressions. For comparison, outdoor signs cost approximately $3.56 per one thousand impressions, and newspaper advertisements can cost a whopping $19.70 per one thousand impressions.
What Businesses Commonly Use Vehicle Graphics?
Vehicle graphics are used across many industries to great effect. For instance, virtually everyone recognizes the golden yellow Stanley Steamer vans with their vintage-style font or the bright green vans that advertise SERVPRO’s cleaning and restoration services. Even small businesses can emulate the successful brand recognition that these two companies and others enjoy.
While businesses in almost any industry can benefit from vehicle graphics, certain industries tend to use this marketing tool more widely. These businesses include:
Pest control service providers
HVAC companies
Car dealerships
Cleaning and restoration companies
Carpet cleaning companies
Auto mechanics
Food truck vendors
Plumbers
Realtors
Caterers
Construction companies
Ice cream sellers
Electricians
Painters
Most businesses that have fleet vehicles
What Are Some Key Design Principles for Vehicle Graphics?
There are three important factors to consider when designing effective vehicle graphics — colors, the company name and logo, and the company’s telephone number.
Choice of Color
Color is essential to creating successful vehicle graphics. The base color of the vehicle must be taken into consideration, and the designer will want to ensure that the colors selected for a design do not compete with the vehicle’s color.
In the case of a vehicle wrap, a skilled design team will produce a wrap that integrates with the client’s current brand identity. Color is used to highlight important details and create an aesthetic that resonates with potential customers.
Company Name and Logo
The company name and logo are core pieces of information that need to be communicated. A design might be stunning, but if the company’s name and logo get lost among the other graphic elements, the design has failed to serve its purpose, which is to advertise the business to other motorists on the roadway.
Telephone Number
Telephone numbers are an integral part of the vehicle graphics marketing strategy because they provide an action step for an interested consumer to take. Once a driver notices a vehicle’s attractive colors and sees the company’s name and logo, he or she can immediately follow up with the business. Because many phones are equipped with voice command technology, people can safely call the business while the company’s services are still top of mind.
In addition, telephone numbers can be used to track the ROI that vehicle graphics generate. By implementing a 1-800 number that is only used on the vehicles, businesses can track calls that were made to that number.

The ''Typhoon FGR4'' provides the RAF with a highly capable and extremely agile multi-role combat aircraft, capable of being deployed in the full spectrum of air operations, including air policing, peace support and high intensity conflict.
Initially deployed in the air-to-air role as the ''Typhoon F2'', the aircraft now has a potent and precise multirole capability.
The pilot can carry out many functions by voice command or through a hands-on stick and throttle system. Combined with an advanced cockpit and the HEA (Helmet equipment assembly) the pilot is superbly equipped for all aspects of air operations.
Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain formally agreed to start development of the aircraft in 1988 with contracts for a first batch of 148 aircraft â of which 53 were for the RAF signed ten years later. Deliveries to the RAF started in 2003 to 17(R) Sqn who were based at BAE Systems Warton Aerodrome in Lancashire (alongside the factory where the aircraft were assembled) while detailed development and testing of the aircraft was carried out. Formal activation of the first ''Typhoon'' Squadron at RAF Coningsby occurred on the 1st Jul 2005.
The aircraft took over responsibility for UK QRA on 29 Jun 2007 and was formally declared as an advanced Air Defence platform on 1 Jan 2008.

Rock Art
Prehistoric Native American rock art panels are found in numerous locations along SR 279 and are readily accessible took for signs along the road which indicate the largest panels. The rock art found here is believed to have been created during the Archaic (6,000-1,000 B.C.) and Fremont (450-1300 A.D.) periods The petroglyps are pecked or carved onto rock surfaces, usually in areas that have dark patina called "desert varnish. Ovis canadonsls nelsoni
The area traversed by SR 279/the Potash Road is desert bighorn sheep habitat Bighorn sheep have inhabited this region for thousands of years and are often depicted in prehistonc rock art. They prefer steep rugged terrain and are adapted to hot, dry environments.
Bighorn populations began to decline In the late 1800s as human settlement, disease, over hunting, and other stressors took their toll Once in danger of extinction, efforts to reestablish bighorn populations in Utah have been on-going for decades and they are making a slow tenuous comeback.
Look for the light-gray colored animals on or near steep, rocky slopes, they blend into their habitat extremely well Bighorn are wary of human contact If you are lucky enough to spot thorn observe quietly from your vehicle Do not attempt to approach bignhorn as this causes undue stress Above all, enjoy the sighing which is truly something unique and special.

TCL 5800-Series 65 & 55″ 4K Ultra HD Roku Smart LED TV Review
The television has long been a centerpiece for home entertainment, and with each passing year, the technology seems to be
steadily improving. Whether you’re a family that spends every night enjoying TV, or someone who wakes up every morning and
tunes in for some enjoyment, having a nice TV is a real luxury.
If you’ve been searching high and low for the right TV for your home, you may have been put off by the price of some.
However, there are several options that boast both affordability and high-end features into an attractive price tag. One
specifically that comes to mind is TCL.SEE IT :http://amzn.to/29iVqtb
TCL is one of the best-selling manufacturers that are know well for their Award-Winning Smart TVs that hit the market last
year. Although they’re great TVs, they’re slowly being phased out. Why? Because they were only capable of 1080p, and the
new standard is 4K.
Set to release near the end of this month, the new 5800 model TCL 55 and 65 inch Smart TVs (55US5800 & 65US5800) will be
available. They will still be priced affordably at $599 for the 55 inch and $999 for the 65 inch, but boast four times the
resolution with their 4K Ultra High Definition capabilities.
TCL-55US5800-65US5800-Roku-Smart-LED-TV
Difference Between 1080p and 4K
For roughly the last decade, 1080p has been the holy grail of resolution by providing an 1920 x 1080 resolution, resulting
in high definition imaging. But in 2016, 1080p is clearly on it’s way out and being replaced with 4K. How come? Simply
because the resolution of 4K can provide four times the amount of content that your current 1080p TV can display.
4K is just a shortened and popularized term since it provides a 3840 x 2160 resolution, although you may also have heard to
it being referred to as 2160p. With the ability to display as many as 8 million pixels on your screen, 4K is truly
remarkable. It’s a technology that you’ll only see become more widespread and available.
Is 4K Worth It?
Although the price of 4K was insanely high when it was originally released a few years ago, the price of 4K televisions
have dropped significantly. Most notably, TCL is leading the way with one of the least-expensive, yet feature-rich Smart
TVs on the market. Their 2016 models are definitely worth the upgrade for many since they boast more than your average 4K
LED TV with fully-interactive Smart features.
TCL-55US5800-65US5800-Roku-Smart-LED-TV
Roku Built-In
What really sets both the 55US5800 and 65US5800 apart is the Roku integration that offers you the largest selection of
streaming channels currently available. With over 2000 channels, hundreds of them are completely free and ready for instant
streaming.
tcl streaming channels
Additionally, you can use a wide range of applications to connect and stream content from Netflix, Hulu Plus, HBO Go,
Amazon Prime, Fox NOW, Pandora, and so many more. Although not required, cable subscribers can link into a whole new realm
of entertainment – depending on your specific cable provider and subscription package.
The Remote
The TCL 55 and 65 inch Smart 4K Ultra LED TVs come included with a Roku remote. It’s built for ease of use and equipped
with 20 buttons that enable you to carry out the best in the television’s full functionality. Since there’s roughly half
of the buttons than your standard cable remote control, you won’t have a clutter of controls to use and there will be no
struggling to adjust your TV to anything you’d like to enjoy.
roku remote
Best of all, the remote has voice-command capabilities that enable you to speak directly into a microphone. Selecting your
content with the sound of your voice is a real treat and enables you to find things faster without any of the confusion,
time, and clutter a traditional search may take. Also, if you’re not a fan of the remote or you would like an additional
one, you can use the free Roku remote app on your smartphone to turn it into a remote controller.
Home Screen
When you turn on the TV you’re presented with a beautifully designed home screen that can be fully personalized. It’s a
streamlined and simple menu of all that your entertainment center has to offer, without the need to configure a variety of
different inputs or complicated procedures.
TCL-55US5800-65US5800-Roku-Smart-LED-TV
Upon powering on the TV, your favorite broadcasts, streaming channels, video game consoles, and connected devices will be
available for your selection. It’s a better welcome than most Smart TVs currently offer and you always have the freedom to
adjust it as you please.
Wireless Communication
Since the TCL 4k Smart LED TV has built-in WiFi connectivity, it can wirelessly connect and communicate with your home
network. There’s no need to plug in an Ethernet cable since the wireless capabilities are ready to go right from unboxing.
Equipped with dual-band WiFi, it achieves an excellent range away from your router or access point.
Slim and Sleek Design
With the included stand, you can set it up on a table top or on top of furniture in a stable and effective manner. Although
some people may like to take the stands off and mount it directly onto the wall, we must say that we’re fans of either
option. It’s slim profile works well for those who are trying to achieve a minimalist or modern look while making it the
centerpiece of the living room or bedroom.
TCL-55US5800-65US5800-Roku-Smart-LED-TV
The 55 inch model is just 3.5 inches thick, 49 inches wide, and 28.4 inches tall. The 65 inch model is just 2.5 inches
thick, 57.4 inches wide, and 32.9 inches tall. As you can tell, the larger version is slightly thinner, but they both boast
an overall very slim profile.
Full Features and Specifications
Refresh Rate: Native – 60Hz. Effective – 120Hz Clear Motion Index.
Backlight: Full Array LED.
HDMI Inputs: Four HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 (one has HDMI ARC).
USB Inputs: One (for connecting media).
Other Inputs: RF, Composite, Optical Audio Out, Headphone Jack,
Energy Star Compliant
Warranty Period
According to TCL’s website, all of their televisions are covered by a generous 2 year (24 month) warranty period. This
gives you added peace of mind trusted assurance that your investment will be good and working fantastically for this time.
Most television manufacturers offer a one year warranty, so it’s very nice to see TCL go above and beyond by extending it
to double the length of most warranties in the industry.
tcl roku smart led tv
Final Thoughts
Upgrading to either one of TCL’s new 2016 model of their 55 or 65 inch Roku Smart LED TVs (55US5800 & 65US5800) is a great
option for those who want top of the line features at a drastically reduced price point. With the full array LED back-
lighting, true 4K Ultra HD resolution, and innovative smart features that give you access to thousands of channels, we feel
that TCL offers the perfect blend of high-end design with the affordability that you’re likely looking for.
Regardless if you’re looking into getting the 55 or 65 inch version, both boast equally impressive features that’ll
surely appeal to a wide range of individuals and families.

This is a head shot of the Wall-E promotional robot Walt Disney's Imagineers came up with for the Wall-E premiere. This was taken at the D23 convention last year, they also had Lucky the Dinosaur. Unfortunately they didn't have the Muppet Mobile Lab, wish I was able to see it.
I love robotics and this was a really awesome design. He responds to voice commands and has 22? or 32? movements, including the eyes zooming in and out "focusing" and fingers moving laterally as well as clamping. He CAN hold his own hands as in the movie, although that command is rarely used because something usually breaks (according to the imagineer I was talking to)

In early September 2019 the first shipments of the long awaited Tesla Model 3 autonomous electric vehicle began arriving in Australia.
All Tesla cars come standard with auto pilot, full self-driving capability and driver assistance features such as emergency braking, collision warning and blind-spot monitoring.
With the next software update, the cars will recognise and respond on autopilot to speed signs, traffic lights and stop signs. A number of other autonomous features will also be available by the end of 2019.
This white Tesla 3 Performance, pictured above is my sons car. He picked it up in Sydney on September 28 2019. Apparently if he had not been there at the pre-arranged time the car would have been allocated to someone else and he would have gone back on the waiting list.
The standard car with various options he had ordered was unavailable on the day so Tesla upgraded him free of charge to a Performance Long Range vehicle. His car had been ordered well over 3 years previous to the delivery and his great patience has been rewarded with an amazingly sleek and seriously impressive and in the end, upgraded vehicle.
The stylishly sleek low profile Standard Tesla Model 3 has a battery range of 460km (real life more like 350km), a top speed of 225kph and at 5.6 seconds 0 to 100km it has scary acceleration that throws you back hard against the seat.
The Standard Model 3 will retail for Au$67,900.
There are two other models being made available in Australia.
Long Range Standard (620km -233kph-4.6 seconds) (Au$85,900)
Performance (560km - 233kph-3.4 seconds) (Au$92,900)
When one gets into the car the first thing you notice, apart from the comfort of the seats and the sleek tinted glass roof, is the total simplicity of the dash. There is no instrumentation on the dashboard, just a large computer screen which literally does everything. It allows you to conveniently update the cars autonomous and standard driving mode software, make phone calls, use maps and play music. I'm not sure yet but its probably set up for voice command also.
Charging is carried out at Tesla's rapidly expanding network of Australian charging stations or at home through an adapted power point.
Recently I saw that the Tesla Model 3 has become the top selling car in the Netherlands.
It will be interesting to see how rapid its adoption will be in Australia given Australian's record as a world leader in transitioning to new technologies.
It will not be a surprise if the takeup is quite fast, despite our current federal governments best efforts to dampen down all enthusiasm for anything not powered by fossil fuels.
The Tesla Version 10 Update was released on 26th September 2019

People, Google, and Samsung are all in a rush to grab you by the wrist. The heat has been shown up for computer wearables, and the focus is focused above your hand.
Best Smartwatch Could Mean For You
The first Google Android Wear smartwatches have been released. They look like the LG G Watch and Samsung's Gear Live.
Meantime the clock is ticking on Apple's iWatch launching. The firm is ramping up its efforts to launch their brand-new wearable sometime this fall. The company is reported to have worked with the sales director of luxury Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer to help in this effort.
In general, the business is scrambling to grab their share of a forecasted wearables market valued at 8.3 billion dollars in 2018.
While the iWatch is still months away, the Android Wear variations are at-hand or now "on-wrist."
These smartwatches, which deal with any Android mobile phone running Android 4.3 or higher, are not perfect in every information but do have some of the guaranteed features that organization executives could discover useful.
On the downside, size might matter, and no doubt these are large watches. Male will find them more comfortable than ladies who might dislike carrying around the devices on their slim wrists.
Applications are restricted at this time, but more are on the method. Battery life can likewise be much shorter than what is expected. Daily charging is suggested for optimum efficiency.
On the plus side, there is much to like, such as placing Google Now on your wrist. This suggests you can get appropriate information when needed, without being triggered. If you are on a trip, for instance, with a midday checkout time, however, your flight isn't up until 9:00 p.m., Google Now can immediately reveal you motion picture times for a film you've just recently looked up, playing near your hotel.
Similarly, it can offer contextual details on weather, traffic, restaurant bookings, nearby occasions, upcoming appointments; boarding passes for airlines, and more.
The G Watch variation offers 25 faces to pick from. A swiping motion reveals details cards, notifications, and lets you work through all your loaded applications.
The swiping enables you to expand the information card choices such as replying, dismissing, or opening products on your Android-only connected smartphone. Unlike earlier Android Wear predecessors each transition is smooth and fluid.
The big difference-maker, however, is Google voice search.
Voice commands work exceptionally well. Some state better than even a mobile phone. If it doesn't get it rather right the first time, possibly hearing "fast" instead of "gas," you can correct it by saying "No I stated gas" and it will carry out the best search or command.
Android Wear takes the handling of mobile phone notifications to a brand-new level. An app that appears in Android's Notification Shade on a mobile phone can likewise appear on the smartwatch. You can similarly limit apps to avoid overload.
Service types will value calendar reminders, emails, text, Hangouts, and other notifications. Anything that generates notifications on Android can be seen on the Android Wear watch.
The Evernote app permits users to pull up current notes on their wrist and record audio notes directly from the smartwatch.
You can also get strolling directions on your wrist through Google Maps. It will even vibrate when it's time to make a turn. This is a welcome benefit and prevents needing to pull your phone out on the street.
Overall the smartwatch allows you to keep your mobile phone in-place and ignore needless signals. Paired with voice support, you can respond to texts or emails without ever requiring to grab your phone from your pocket.
Numerous critics have praised earlier versions of mobile phones such as the Pebble. Nevertheless, the profound combination of Wear apps with Android provides Google an excellent chance to lead this classification.
As time passes the temperature level on the competitive smartwatch market will continue to rise. The end outcome ought to be an advantage for consumers who will get more apps, much better execution, and more appealing wearable devices to select from.
GestureWorks Fusion is an application that combines multimodal inputs from HCI devices. In this proof of concept, Fusion uses voice and motion gestures with the Intel RealSense camera. With GestureWorks Fusion, you can use motion gestures, voice commands, or both simultaneously, to control applications in Windows 8 or Windows 10. In this proof of concept using YouTube, the open hand gesture will make the video go into fullscreen mode. To learn more about Ideum's software initiatives, visit our website.

These oxen delivered concrete in a single-axle trailer. The really interesting thing about it was that they were backed into place by voice commands! If you've ever backed up a single-axle trailer in a vehicle, you know it's not easy. Now imagine doing it just by giving commands to a couple of farm animals.

The car dealership that you go to if they are very pushy, that should be a red flag and you should be a little bit worried because they are trying to push you into a decision that you will have for five or six years. It's a big decision and a large amount of money also on that big decsion. So if a dealership is rushing you that's a red flag.
If you want a closer look or a test drive make sure to come on down to 175 Pelham St and ask for Rafi to get the best deal and best vehicle.

From Edmunds(http://www.edmunds.com/ford/fusion/2009/review.html) -
Fusion is a trendy trend in the world of fine cuisine. There's Asian fusion, which blends together various aspects of foods from all over the world's largest continent. The other side of the coin is stuff like taco pizzas or chipotle fried chicken. The Ford Fusion puts together the sporty platform found in the last-generation Mazda 6 with the traditional American values of a more spacious interior and brash styling elements. Overall, it's a successful combination, though there are a few taco pizza elements in the mix as well.
Ford's Fusion debuted three years ago. The 2009 model is the best yet, with additional equipment and a snazzy new Blue Suede options package. Most importantly, stability control, something that has been missing on the Fusion since day one, is finally available. This is also the first full year for Ford's Sync system, which allows for control of an iPod, other MP3 players and cell phones via voice commands. Impressively, your cell phone's address book is also wirelessly and automatically transferred to the vehicle. We've found that Sync works very well, and judging by positive consumer feedback, it's definitely a major reason to consider the Fusion.
At CES 2017, the Consumer Electronics Association awarded TYM "Home Theater of the Year" for their audio/video design and installation in The StarLight Theatre.
The StarLight Theatre is an award-winning open-concept theatre created for a clients who wanted a space to entertain their children and grandchildren. It features Sony 4K Projection onto a 132-inch custom-made ambient light rejecting screen. The screen is micro perforated making it acoustically transparent.
12 Paradigm speakers and subwoofers create Dolby Atmos immersive audio. The client can watch TV, movies, stream, and even just just recline and listen to high-resolution audio in this space.
The room is easily controlled from the on-wall iPad, mobile devices, or the voice-controlled remote. Everything from the lighting to the video source to the volume is controlled with a simple touch or voice command.
The star ceiling is a TYM specialty. Over 3 miles of fiber optic stands were hand placed into sheetrock during construction. Then TYM's creative director airbrushed a cosmos mural that comes alive when the light hits it. The completed effect is a show-stopping statement--and it's where The StarLight Theatre gets its name.
The StarLight Theatre was featured in the 2016 Salt Lake Parade of Homes in the award-winning custom home built by Tree Haven Homes.

The IS 350 C features a 3.5L V6 with both direct and port fuel injection, allowing it to produce 306 horsepower for outstanding performance. Both engines have dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) for improved performance and fuel efficiency.
The IS 250 C is equipped with a standard 6-speed manual transmission. A 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters is available on the IS 250 C and standard on the IS 350 C.
A double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension are specifically tuned for the IS C. Standard 17-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, and available 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels, are also unique to the IS C. Combined with rear-wheel drive, the IS C was designed to offer excellent handling balance.
Inside, a climate-control and audio system are optimized for top-up or top-down driving. Heated and ventilated front seats with perforated leather are also available to help keep you comfortable no matter what the weather is outside.
