A quick little story about Alice in Quantumland.

I was serving jury duty a few years ago, and I was reading that book while I waited to be given a case. I had a bit of a shock one morning as I was making my way through the courthouse security.

I had set down my jacket, purse, and book on the scanning machine and had successfully stepped through the metal detecting doorway, when a severe voice commanded me to step aside. My mind was racing. Had I forgotten to leave my fingernail clippers at home? Were they upset about the half eaten doughnut in my purse?

I made my way over to the security guard with the resonant voice, and very humbly asked what was wrong. She reached over to the scanner and slowly picked up my book. She looked at it. Turned it over. Read the back. Turned it over again (tapping it against her hand repeatedly). Finally she looked at me.

"Is this your book?" she asked.

"Yes." I stammered.

"Is it any good?"

My heart was racing by this time. I felt like I was arriving in some sort of weird quantumland of my own. I managed to finally get a grip on my heaving thoughts and whispered out a hoarse little "What?"

"The book," she says "Alice in Quantumland, is it interesting? Is it any good?"

"Oh." says I, "Yes! The book is great!"

"Uh-huh." She says. "I was just wondering because I'm only working this job to pay my way through college. I'm taking Quantum Mechanics." . . .

Especially for Nikon users,

This shot was taken using 'Control My Nikon' Software (I downloaded a trial though it's very cheep to buy) see it at www.controlmynikon.com/p/what-is-controlmynikon.html

Here's a brief overview:

ControlMyNikon is the best software available for remotely controlling your Nikon DSLR. You just plug your DSLR into your computer via USB cable. Here are some of the many advantages to using ControlMyNikon:

Adjust camera settings via an easy to use interface on the computer monitor rather than the tiny LCD display on the camera.

Using your keyboard, mouse or voice, command the camera to capture an image. The camera sends the image to the computer where you can review it on the monitor. ControlMyNikon comes with a built-in image viewer that shows the image histogram so you can see if there are any blown out highlights or shadows.

Handhold the camera, shoot, and have the resulting images displayed on the computer monitor for others to see. No more trying to show others what you just shot on that tiny camera LCD display!

See your camera's Live View display on your computer monitor. This is great for reviewing composition and especially for macro shots. Imagine being able to see the Live View image full-screen on your computer monitor, and then zoom in further to ensure you have that perfect focus for a tack-sharp image.

Store captured image files immediately on your computer and automatically copy them to another folder as an archive. No more plugging in memory cards or separate image transfer sessions!

Save your camera settings as a profile. For example, you could have separate profiles for 'Macro' and 'Portrait'. Just load a profile and your camera settings are automatically adjusted.

Did we mention voice control? Just configure Windows Speech Recognition, put on a headset with a boom microphone and command the camera to capture an image. This is a huge time-saver if you don't have an assistant to adjust lighting or composition.

This was my first try of the software, I have since bought it sooooo reasonably priced GREAT VALUE

Elektro is the nickname of a robot built by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation in its Mansfield, Ohio facility between 1937 and 1938. Seven feet tall, weighing 265 pounds, humanoid in appearance, he could walk by voice command, speak about 700 words, smoke cigarettes, blow up balloons, and move his head and arms. Elektro's body consisted of a steel gear, cam and motor skeleton covered by an aluminum skin. His photoelectric "eyes" could distinguish red and green light. He was on exhibit at the 1939 New York World's Fair and reappeared at that fair in 1940, with "Sparko", a robot dog that could bark, sit, and beg to humans.

An Unexpected Consequence

Something woke me up around 3:30 am that Saturday morning, not sure what. But something since my head was throbbing, I assumed that was the culprit.

I slowly, silently arose, not wishing to disturb the others who had gathered in our suite's living room for a “sleepover after an evening of heavy partying. But by the looks, everyone was still passed out.

I wasn’t surprised, judging from the amount of drinks we all had consumed.

What happy drunks we had all been.

I carefully tiptoed amongst them through the room, deciding to get aspirin from my bathroom.

The girls and I had all fallen asleep in the living room instead of retiring to our respective bedrooms that connected to the master suite

I was surprised to see my bedroom door was closed.

Was someone else inside?

I looked around the room, not noticing anyone missing.

Shrugging it off, I went inside, closing the door behind me.

I saw my reflection in the wall-sized mirror at the end of the room, next to the surprisingly open outside balcony door.

“Looking good.” I complimented myself.

I was wearing my slinking long pure silk nightgown, coloured a deep chocolate brown. Along with my shiny matching robe. The robe was open and I could see my peaking out chest, my smallish mounds bulging, sexily outlined by my nightgown.

I ran my fingers down the front, touching them, feeling a rather pleasant sensation that I was still not awake enough to fully enjoy.

There is nothing like the feel of a bit of nice silk lying against one’s naked figure.

I took a step back, admiring my figure, clad tightly in shiny silk, with jewels sparkling that were reflected in the hotel suite's mammoth mirror.

For, from my evening out, I was still wearing my long diamond earrings(£18,000) and three diamond rings(£12,000,£5,000, £3,000) because I love to sleep with my diamonds on, and they had looked so pretty with my black satin evening gown, along with the rest of my diamonds, that I had worn out for the evening before.

They had looked even more delicious worn with my spaghetti strap chocolate silk slinky nightgown as I played with them, and myself, a wee bit more.

I guess I kept wearing them because I wanted the feeling to continue on, as it was.

We had all been dressed up to the nines, attire, and jewellery, Friday evening, including the three of us girls who were staying in the two connected rooms.

Though last night those rooms, like mine, had been empty since all of us were asleep in the living room, sort of an adult storytelling sleepover.

Though I will admit deep down a smouldering yearning was felt to have it being a role-playing sleepover.

Now as I looked myself over in the mirror I started to have a prickly sensation that I was after all, not alone in the room.

I literally jumped because that feeling was immediately confirmed as an unfamiliar male voice commanded:

“Freeze sister, not a peep out of you now!”

I froze… not knowing what the hell was going on.

Except I was correct in using the word ‘Hell’

^^^^

A thin, muscular male comes out of one of the room’s shadowy corners, facing me.

I could tell his intentions by the black tight-fitting spandex suit, gloves, and ski mask he was wearing.

He nodded his head to me….

“I don’t wish to hurt you, lady, I’m only after the “ice” I was told you were wearing out tonight. Now don’t scream. I will use force and some of your friends may be hurt. You don’t want that to happen, do you? Nod if you’re going to be a good lass.”

I nodded yes, feeling my earrings swing against my face.

“That’s the girl. Undo your pretty robe, drop it to the floor. Good. Now move it over unto the bed.”

I did so and he picked up my robe laying it out onto the end of the bed. Then he picked up my robe's satin sash.

“Now ladybird , hold out your hands.”

I obeyed. He looked down at my fingers. I could see my rings glistening and saw he was watching also.

He pleasurably sighed, then got to business.

“Spread out your fingers!”

I did and he slowly located, then worked off my three pretty rings. Reaching over, he plopped each onto my chocolate-coloured silk robe.

“Now sister, clasp your hands in front of you…”

I obeyed and he firmly tied my wrists together with the robe’s silk sash.

“Now lay back on the bed”

I did so and he lifted my bound wrists and using one of my long black satin gloves tied them to a bedpost. Then he took the other glove gagging my mouth with it.

I could see my reflection in the vanity mirror. Almost surreal, like I was watching someone else.

He turned on his torch, catching my long diamond earrings in the beam.

“Blinding those, lovely to look at, but I’m running out of time aren’t I? Leave them for later, eh luv!”

Moving easily like a muscular black panther, he rose and strolled over to the vanity dresser. He opened the pair of jewelry cases belonging to me and my sister-in-law Cadie.

The beam caught up with the reflection of the jewellery both contained. I could see them sparkling.

He turns, shined the light in my face…

I was told you birds were wearing “ice” but there’s much more here. Let’s say I save time by taking it all for sorting later..”

It wasn’t a question.

With a sigh, I watched as he emptied onto my silk robe, the glimmering contents of first one, then the other of our jewel cases.

The pile dazzled with explosive, expensive sparkling.

Discarding both emptied cases, he turned his light back on the dresser. There were more of our expensive personal items laid out there. Cadie’s, my husband’s, and mine.

Several times he reached in sweeping some of them into his palm. Dumping them onto the chocolate-coloured silk robe

My husband’s possessions. Rolex money clip, billfold, silver gunmetal cigarette case, and matching lighter.

Cade’s silver comb and mirror, silver makeup compact, and her satin evening clutch.

Along with my gold makeup compact kit, gold Lamé clutch purse, gold cigarette case, and gold lighter.

He next shined the light carefully around the room.

Stopping on the open closet.

He went over and rummaged through it.

He whistled, and from my close he pulled out my rust-coloured mink jacket, throwing it onto the bed.

Then he turned back, fingering through my good skirts, blouses, party dresses, gowns, satins, and silks all of them.

He pulled my back satin opera outfit, a long satin skirt with the rhinestone belt and matching rhinestone embellished jacket, that I usually wore with one of my silky long-sleeved high-neck tops.

Lovely this he said shingling his light so it sparkled.

Then he tossed it on my bed, covering the fur.

He happily “dived” back in, and I heard him exclaiming…

“This is more like it, good thing I didn’t take a pass on the closet.”

He was pulling out the black satin gown with rhinestone trimmings I had worn out this past evening. His light caught my beautiful broach (£38,000), which I had left attached.

it came into sparkling life under the torch beam.

He whistled as he walked over, eyeing it up.

The thief then shined his torch beam in my face

You weren’t going to try and hold this out now were you love? I’ll pretend you were going to point it out.”

He laid it out on the bed, then approached me…

“With that said, lady. Are you holding anything else out!”

I shook my head, no, my eyes pleading since my mouth was gagged into silence.

Grinning, his torch beam was shined into one ear then the other

“Not quite telling the truth, Lovely sparkler’s them.”

He reached up, I was limp, with no fight in me.

The thief then laid the torch on the bed…

With his teeth the wanker pulled off his thin black gloves, he looked positively evil wearing that ski mask. His eyes are large and I swear, beguilingly, studying me.

His mouth opened wide as he reached over with long touching fingers, to begin working off each of my earrings, tossing them onto the valuably shimmering piled out on my beautiful satiny silky robe.

Again he stared into my eyes, his own masked lined menacing one’s mere millimeters away.

“Not saying I don’t trust you telling your not hiding anything valuable, but, well luv, I’ll be having myself a look anyway. You’ll understand…”

I cringed, arching my back as his fingers grasped my arms.

He then reached down and squeezed around my bulging chest ,noticing they were hard and perking, pointing up through the sheer fabric of my silky nightgown like a pair of plump fleshy mounds with hard tips.

Then I felt his fingers smoothly running over along my silk-clad figure, until he reached my wet pussy and discovers why my “mounds” were so firm under his touch.

For yes, I will have to confess having been sinfully aroused throughout the whole wickedly hot experience.

You see it started when he was pulling off my rings.

No, actually I told a lie…

It was when he first grasped me:

The abruptness, the shock, and the surprise, quickly turned to aroused waves of tingling sexually tinged excitement at being held captive, by a thief after my jewels.

As he worked at stealing our valuables, a tingling, cringing feeling of helplessness and horror watching a masked man doing that, with the look of pleasure he had in his eyes.

Then as he pulled off my rings, well I realized I was growing even more acutely aroused in a quite “horney” role play’esque situation.

Arousal that began its stimulating flame, arising from the explosive emerging “kindling” that is one’s own erotica being played out for real when least expected.

He could see my struggle against my bonds, and he knew, the Git just instinctively knew why….

Then the prat just touched the hairs around my privates

Stroking gently, reaching deep enough inside my pussy hairs, just enough to keep me aroused, but not allowing me to come into orgasm.

My eyes were opened wide staring at his masked form hovering over me.

Then he plunged his fingers deeply inside.

My whole figure arched up, fingers tingling.

Then the stinking prat, he pulled back. The wanker knew and stopped, just as my figure was trying to come in a full-body arching, explosive orgasm.

It was bad enough The bloody thief was stealing my jewels, but adding in robbing me clean of a chance at feeling that titular flame of orgasmic stimulation as I had closed my eyes starting to wince with excitement, that was just bloody rude.

^^^^^^

Then he was done, all back to business, as he nimbly rose, then picking up his gloves said the chilling words as he put them back on….

“Do the other rich dame’s bedrooms have things this nice, as I was told. No answer eh? Well, we will see for me self now won’t I!”

He picked back up his torch, letting the beam play down the long chocolate-silken night gown I was wearing over my naked figure.

He nodded his head in disbelieving approval.

Turning it off, he pocketed the torch, then reaching down he rolled up my satin robe with our valuables in it.

Picking up a black backpack he purred…

“The lads that were following you birds around last night, they put me onto this job saying to just to snatch the shiny jewels you and your girlfriends wearing out this evening. But lady you have enough here I could make a bit extra for me self!”

He stuffed the chocolate satin robe inside his jogger's pack. Followed by cramming in my black gown with the broach.

Then lifting my mink he said

But I better see how much of the good stuff your lady friends have in their rooms first. But I’ll take this item in case I have the storage space.”

Extinguishing his torch, He started to walk out, then looked back at me and came to my bedside.

“And don’t worry about this”

he said touching my now still prickly, damp crotch.

"Your not the first broad I’ve tied up to rob whose felt this way, now we’re you!?”

Snickering, he confidently opened the door, slipping without a look back

He was now in the living room where the others were all sleeping!

^^^^

That night thief thoroughly cleaned us out of all our jewels and various other items of high value we had in our bedrooms.

Though it was a very nasty thing to have happened to all of us. I did feel a wee bit guilty.

For to tell the truth, since I had been erotically aroused by the entire incident that occurred in my bedroom under the thief’s hands whole robbing me, I didn’t quite feel as sad about it as my equally jewel-relieved girlfriends.

Batmobile “1989”

Warner Brothers had Tim Burton bring his unique style to the movie, and Anton Furst was hired as production designer for Gotham City and the Batmobile.

He wanted the car to be unlike any previous incarnation, a combination of brute force and classic design aesthetics.

To build the car, the production team spliced together two Impala chassis, and the car was powered by a Chevy V8.

The body was a custom-built fabrication, and the whole thing rides on a set of Mickey Thompson racing tires on custom wheels.

In his design, Furst managed to capture the essence of a Batmobile while providing all-new design elements.

The bat-mask was gone entirely from his design.

In its place, the nose featured a large jet turbine intake flanked by sweeping, mandible-like front fenders.

Cold air intakes for the afterburner were mounted ahead of the rear fenders.

The rear of the car had a rounded, heavy look that was influenced by cars of the 1930s, set between a pair of relatively short sculpted fins.

Inside, the two-seat cockpit featured aircraft-like instrumentation, a passengers' side monitor, self-diagnostics system, CD recorder, and voice-command recognition system.

The Postcard

A postcard, on the divided back of which is printed:

'Printed in Paris - La Pina'

The card was posted in the Nord Département of France on Monday the 23rd. December 1918 to:

Mademoiselle Renée Deuguin,

Bonningues-les-Calais,

Pas-de-Calais.

The message on the divided back of the card was as follows:

"Joyeux Noêl et Bonne

Année de la part des

Geneviève et Lisbeth."

Rin Tin Tin

Nénette and Rintintin were the source of the name of the Hollywood film star dog Rin Tin Tin.

Rin Tin Tin (September 1918 – August 10, 1932) was a male German Shepherd dog born in Flirey, France, who became an international star in motion pictures.

He was rescued from a Great War battlefield by an American soldier, Lee Duncan, who nicknamed him "Rinty". Duncan trained Rin Tin Tin, and obtained silent film work for the dog.

Rin Tin Tin was an immediate box-office success, and went on to appear in 27 Hollywood films, gaining worldwide fame. Rin Tin Tin was responsible for greatly increasing the popularity of German Shepherd dogs as family pets.

The immense profitability of his films contributed to the success of Warner Bros. studios, and helped advance the career of Darryl F. Zanuck from screenwriter to producer and studio executive.

After Rin Tin Tin died in 1932, the name was given to several related German Shepherd dogs featured in fictional stories on film, radio, and television. Rin Tin Tin Jr. appeared in some serialized films, but was not as talented as his father.

Rin Tin Tin III, said to be Rin Tin Tin's grandson, but probably only distantly related, helped promote the military use of dogs during World War II. Rin Tin Tin III also appeared in a film with child actor Robert Blake in 1947.

Duncan groomed Rin Tin Tin IV for the 1950's television series The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin, but the dog performed poorly in a screen test, and was replaced in the TV show by trainer Frank Barnes's dogs, primarily one named Flame Jr., called JR, with the public being led to believe otherwise.

Instead of shooting episodes, Rin Tin Tin IV stayed at home in Riverside, California. The TV show Rin Tin Tin was nominated for a PATSY Award in both 1958 and 1959, but did not win.

After Duncan died in 1960, the screen property of Rin Tin Tin passed to TV producer Herbert B. Leonard, who worked on further adaptations such as the 1988–1993 Canadian-made TV show Katts and Dog, which was called Rin Tin Tin: K-9 Cop in the US, and Rintintin Junior in France.

Following Leonard's death in 2006, his lawyer James Tierney made the 2007 children's film Finding Rin Tin Tin, an American–Bulgarian production based on Duncan's discovery of the dog in France.

Meanwhile, a Rin Tin Tin memorabilia collection was being amassed by Texas resident Jannettia Propps Brodsgaard, who had purchased several direct descendant dogs from Duncan, beginning with Rinty Tin Tin Brodsgaard in 1957.

Brodsgaard bred the dogs to keep the bloodline. Brodsgaard's granddaughter, Daphne Hereford, continued to build on the tradition and bloodline of Rin Tin Tin from 1988 to 2011; she was the first to trademark the name Rin Tin Tin.

Hereford also opened a short-lived Rin Tin Tin museum in Latexo, Texas. Hereford passed the tradition to her daughter, Dorothy Yanchak, in 2011. The current dog, Rin Tin Tin XII, owned by Yanchak, takes part in public events to represent the Rin Tin Tin legacy.

The Origins of Rin Tin Tin

Following advances made by American forces during the Battle of Saint-Mihiel, Corporal Lee Duncan, an armourer of the U.S. Army Air Service, was sent forward on the 15th. September 1918, to the small French village of Flirey to see if it would make a suitable flying field for his unit, the 135th. Aero Squadron.

The area had been subjected to aerial bombing and artillery fire, and Duncan found a severely damaged kennel which had once supplied the Imperial German Army with German Shepherd dogs. The only dogs left alive in the kennel were a starving mother with a litter of five nursing puppies, their eyes still shut because they were less than a week old. Duncan rescued the dogs, and brought them back to his unit.

When the puppies were weaned, he gave the mother to an officer and three of the litter to other soldiers, but he kept one puppy of each sex. He felt that these two dogs were symbols of his good luck.

He dubbed them Rin Tin Tin and Nanette after a pair of good luck charms called Rintintin and Nénette that French children often gave to the American soldiers. The soldiers were told that Rintintin and Nénette were lucky lovers who had survived a bombing attack, but the original dolls had been designed by Francisque Poulbot before the war in late 1913 to look like Paris street urchins. Contrary to linguistic clues and popular usage, Poulbot said that Rintintin was the girl doll.

Duncan sensed that Nanette was the more intelligent of the two puppies.

In July 1919, Duncan sneaked the dogs aboard a ship taking him back to the US at the end of the war. When he got to Long Island, New York, for re-entry processing, he put his dogs in the care of a Hempstead breeder named Mrs. Leo Wanner, who trained police dogs.

Nanette was diagnosed with pneumonia; as a replacement, the breeder gave Duncan another female German Shepherd puppy. Duncan travelled to California by rail with his dogs. While Duncan was travelling by train, Nanette died in Hempstead. As a memorial, Duncan named his new puppy Nanette II, but he called her Nanette.

Duncan, Rin Tin Tin, and Nanette II settled at his home in Los Angeles. Rin Tin Tin was a dark sable colour, and had very dark eyes. Nanette II was much lighter in colour.

An athletic silent film actor named Eugene Pallette was one of Duncan's friends. The two men enjoyed the outdoors; they took the dogs to the Sierras, where Pallette liked to hunt, while Duncan taught Rin Tin Tin various tricks. Duncan thought that his dog might win a few awards at dog shows and thus be a valuable source of puppies bred with Nanette for sale.

In 1922, Duncan was a founding member of the Shepherd Dog Club of California, based in Los Angeles. At the club's first show, Rin Tin Tin showed his agility, but also demonstrated an aggressive temper, growling, barking, and snapping.

It was a very poor performance, but the worst moment came afterward when Duncan was walking home. A heavy bundle of newspapers was thrown from a delivery truck and landed on the dog, breaking his left front leg. Duncan had the injured limb set in plaster, and he nursed the dog back to health for nine months.

Ten months after the break, the leg was healed and Rin Tin Tin was entered in a show for German Shepherd dogs in Los Angeles. Rin Tin Tin had learned to leap great heights.

At the dog show while making a winning leap, he was filmed by Duncan's acquaintance Charley Jones, who had just developed a slow-motion camera. Seeing his dog being filmed, Duncan became convinced Rin Tin Tin could become the next Strongheart, a successful film dog that lived in his own full-sized stucco bungalow with its own street address in the Hollywood Hills, separate from the mansion of his owners, who lived a street away next to Roy Rogers.

Duncan later wrote:

"I was so excited over the film idea

that I found myself thinking of it night

and day."

The Film Career of Rin Tin Tin

Duncan walked his dog up and down Poverty Row, talking to anyone in a position to put Rin Tin Tin in film, however modest the role.

The dog's first break came when he was asked to replace a camera-shy wolf in The Man from Hell's River (1922) featuring Wallace Beery. The wolf was not performing properly for the director, but under the guidance of Duncan's voice commands, Rin Tin Tin was very easy to work with. When the film was completed, the dog was billed as "Rin Tan".

Rin Tin Tin would be cast as a wolf or wolf-hybrid many times in his career, because it was much more convenient for filmmakers to work with a trained dog.

In another 1922 film titled My Dad, Rin Tin Tin picked up a small part as a household dog. The credits read:

"Rin Tin Tin – Played by himself".

Rin Tin Tin's first starring role was in Where the North Begins (1923), in which he played alongside silent screen actress Claire Adams. This film was a huge success, and has often been credited with saving Warner Bros. from bankruptcy.

It was followed by 24 more screen appearances. Each of these films was very popular, making such a profit for Warner Bros. that Rin Tin Tin was called "the mortgage lifter" by studio insiders.

A young screenwriter named Darryl F. Zanuck was involved in creating stories for Rin Tin Tin; the success of the films raised him to the position of film producer. In New York City, Mayor Jimmy Walker gave Rin Tin Tin a key to the city.

Rin Tin Tin was much sought after, and was signed for endorsement deals. Ken-L Ration, Ken-L-Biskit, and Pup-E-Crumbles all featured him in their advertisements. Warner Bros. fielded fan letters by the thousands, sending back a glossy portrait signed with a paw print and a message written by Duncan:

"Most faithfully, Rin Tin Tin."

In the 1920's, Rin Tin Tin's success for Warner Bros. inspired several imitations from other studios looking to cash in on his popularity, notably RKO's Ace the Wonder Dog, also a German Shepherd dog.

Around the world, Rin Tin Tin was extremely popular because as a dog he was equally well understood by all viewers. At the time, silent films were easily adapted for various countries by simply changing the language of the intertitles. Rin Tin Tin's films were widely distributed.

Film historian Jan-Christopher Horak wrote that by 1927, Rin Tin Tin was the most popular actor with the very sophisticated film audience in Berlin. One fan wrote:

"He is a human dog, "human in

the real big sense of the word."

A Hollywood legend holds that at the first-ever Academy Awards competition in 1929, Rin Tin Tin was voted Best Actor, but that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, wishing to appear more serious and thus determined to have a human actor win the award, removed Rin Tin Tin as a choice and re-ran the vote, leading to German actor Emil Jannings winning the award.

Author Susan Orlean stated this story as fact in her 2011 book Rin Tin Tin: The Life and the Legend. However, former Academy head Bruce Davis has written that the 1928 ballots, kept in storage at the Academy's Margaret Herrick Library, show a complete absence of votes for Rin Tin Tin.

Davis called the story an urban legend that probably originated in a joke ballot circulated that year by Zanuck, who wanted to mock the concept of the Academy Awards.

Although primarily a star of silent films, Rin Tin Tin did appear in four sound features, including the 12-part Mascot Studios chapter-play The Lightning Warrior (1931), co-starring with Frankie Darro. In these films, vocal commands would have been picked up by the microphones, so Duncan likely guided Rin Tin Tin by hand signals.

Rin Tin Tin and the rest of the crew filmed much of the outdoor action footage for The Lightning Warrior on the Iverson Movie Ranch in Chatsworth, Los Angeles, known for its huge sandstone boulders and widely recognized as the most heavily filmed outdoor shooting location in the history of the movies.

Rin Tin Tin and Nanette II produced at least 48 puppies; Duncan kept two of them, selling the rest or giving them as gifts. Greta Garbo, W. K. Kellogg, and Jean Harlow each owned one of Rin Tin Tin's descendants.

The Death of Rin Tin Tin

On the 10th. August 1932, Rin Tin Tin died at Duncan's home on Club View Drive in Los Angeles. Duncan wrote about the death in his unpublished memoir: He heard Rin Tin Tin bark in a peculiar fashion, so he went to see what was wrong. He found the dog lying on the ground, moments away from death.

In the United States, Rin Tin Tin's death set off a national response. Regular programming was interrupted by a news bulletin. An hour-long program about Rin Tin Tin played the next day.

Newspapers across the nation carried obituaries. Magazine articles were written about his life, and a special Movietone News feature was shown to movie audiences.

In the press, aspects of the death were fabricated in various ways, such as Rin Tin Tin dying on the set of the film Pride of the Legion (where Rin Tin Tin Jr. was working), dying at night, or dying at home on the front lawn in the arms of actress Jean Harlow, who lived on the same street.

In a private ceremony, Duncan buried Rin Tin Tin in a bronze casket in his own backyard with a plain wooden cross to mark the location. Duncan was suffering the financial effects of the Great Depression and could not afford a finer burial, nor even his own expensive house.

He sold his house, and quietly arranged to have the dog's body returned to his country of birth for reburial in the Cimetière des Chiens et Autres Animaux Domestiques, the pet cemetery in the Parisian suburb of Asnières-sur-Seine.

In a ceremony on the 8th. February 1960, Rin Tin Tin was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1627 Vine Street.

Henry W. Sawyer

So what else happened on the day that the card was posted?

Well, the 23rd. December 1918 marked the birth in Philadelphia of the American lawyer and activist Henry W. Sawyer

Henry is best known for his civil liberties cases Abington School District v. Schempp, and Lemon v. Kurtzman. He died in 1999.

Thérèse Schwartze

The day also marked the death in Amsterdam of Thérèse Schwartze.

Thérèse, who was born in Amsterdam in 1851, was a Dutch painter known for her portrait work, including Queen Wilhelmina.

On the 22nd. July 1918 her husband, Anton van Duyl, died. As Schwartze was in bad health at that time (and tried to hide this), the death of her husband was a blow that she could not overcome easily. She died in Amsterdam on the 23rd. December 1918 from a sudden illness.

Schwartze was laid to rest at Zorgvlied cemetery in Amsterdam. Later she was reburied at the Nieuwe Ooster cemetery in Amsterdam, where her sister created a memorial to her, modelled on her death mask, which is now considered a rijksmonument.

Thanks to Albert for being the Voice Command Light Stand.

This is our first photo shoot with Ken.

When I was editing this picture, I realized how noisy my previous pictures were and there is 75% sharpness on my previous camera/lens compared to the one I am currently using.

Can you see the difference between pictures from my old and my new camera?

Something a little bit dark and unpredictable for my latest 365 using the mobile(s6) that I'm thinking of incorporating into my 'states of mind' project.

I set the mobile to pro mode so I could set shutter and focus distance manually. I then took numerous shots (triggering the shutter using voice command mode) while generally swinging, spinning and throwing the mobile in front of my face yielding shots that were blurred and just a little bit mysterious.

I decided on this shot as it has the appearance of an eye at first although it is my mouth. I edited the image on the mobile. Selective area adjustments, tonal contrast, B/W conversion, grunge layer and structure all done in Snapseed app.

Now you can get a 4WD Defender with a Tesla motor or two… youtu.be/3b3o_IGAYlU

see a review.. www.productreview.com.au/listings/tesla-model-3#reviews

Just clicked over 10,000km. Time for my thoughts. (after many Grammarly spelling corrections)

The Tesla Model 3, breaks all the automative rules in a big way. Absolutely everything about this car is a dream. Here are, (sic is) a FEW reasons why;

Aside from the obvious electric “green” side of things, my base model SR+ is an absolute blast to drive. When you can outrun 600cc motorbikes (1000cc bikes if you buy the dual-motor/performance) up highway on-ramps, you come to realise that a responsible car can also be an incredibly fun car.

Forward warning, when you let friends have a test drive, they will return the next day with comments like. “thanks, now every car I hop into is a bucket of *^*+”.

Let’s list just a few of the things this car does that none others do:

Unique features;

Always connected to 4G you get Netflix, YouTube, Twitch TV, arcade games (drive racing games with the steering wheel and brake pedal while your passenger can connect an Xbox controller). Web browser and live google maps traffic, karaoke,(caraoke sic or a pun) Spotify, tune in radio and DAB+ the list goes on.

At its (it's sic) root, the ability for the car to communicate via 4g extends itself to incredible phone connectivity. About to leave work? turn on the Air-con, crack the windows down an inch, open the front trunk or boot, unlock the car remotely, track it in real-time. Set max speed limits (for your kids perhaps?) you name it. If you have full self-driving (optional extra), you can even summon your car to you from a car park. (yes really).

Dashcam /sentry mode:

Setup a good quality SSD usb hard drive with a ”Teslacam” folder and you're (your sic) off. A basic YouTube tutorial may be needed to get you going. The car will record 360 degrees full time while your driving. Honk the horn and it will save the clip into a safe folder, and while your parked the car will detect people movement, and even record any time anyone touches or walks past the car - it will escalate to a light and horn alarm if required (recording the whole time). I have used this feature to claim a door dent after a careless driver opened both his driver and rear passenger doors onto my car. The car captured it all. INSANELY good feature!

The key;

Your phone and it’s Bluetooth is the primary key. Then you can use a credit card like a key as a secondary option that you tap on the B pillar ($20 to replace).

So - if you’ve had a big night in the valley dazed and confused wake up in a bath tub of ice, missing your phone, wallet and your kidneys, call your partner from a friends phone, and they can unlock the car remotely so you can get home/ or to a hospital with no keys at all.

Autopilot;

Base model includes full lane holding, accelerating and braking. Such an INSANELY good feature. You just need to experience it for yourself. Highways and peak hour traffic will never be the same again! No other manufacturers are even remotely close to Tesla in this field. It really does drive itself. The added sensor suite to enable self-driving also lends itself to some very helpful forward collision and other safety systems that I have been very thankful for!

The car bounces radar off the ground to detect the car in front of the car in front of you, it has the ability to warn you that the car you can’t even see is emergency stopping. You will soon realise the car is smarter than you and will most definitely help you avoid a collision!

Aircon:

This car has a lot more to its air conditioning then you realise. The ability to leave it on while you duck into the shops, turn it on remotely, have it pre-cool or preheat your car at a certain time in the morning, dog mode - yes displays a big message telling the outside world your dogs are ok and the cars current temp inside the cabin. Heated seats, camp mode the list goes on. It does a whole lot more than any car on the market by a long margin.

Drive experience;

With all the weight down low (battery), it is a heavy car but it handles like it’s on rails accelerates the very millisecond you touch the pedal. Fast, fun and handles like a go kart. Enough said. And my SR+ is the “slowest” of them all!!!

Brakes;

The BEST part about electric,

There are multiple drive styles to choose from. You can make the car behave like an automatic car, you can make it coast after regen braking gets you below 5km an hour... or you can enable one-pedal driving. It takes a day to get used too, but once your dialled in, driving ANY other car is a total drag.

With one-pedal driving, The last 1cm of accelerator pedal becomes more and more regen braking. If you get all the way off the accelerator, full regen braking is enabled and as the car approaches less then 3-4km an hour, it will apply the actual brakes and hold you there until you accelerate off again. Seriously. The best. The brakes will likely outlive the car as they are rarely used above 5km an hour.

Maintenance:

I did have a charge port door sensor fault. Tesla changed out a component, but later said that it could have been fixed with a software fix. Painless fix. No other significant issues, and based on other owners who have done many more Km overseas, I don’t expect any significant issues in the future.

You barely touch the brakes, there is no engine, no exhaust, no timing belts, basically no oil, no cam shafts and turbos, no gearbox, clutches, drive shafts, transmissions, no valves and manifolds, no DPF filters, oil filters, air filters, many thousands of less moving parts.

The only thing you really need to do, is an occasional inspection for general car wear, top up washer fluid and rotate the tyres. Yes really. It’s the BEST feeling knowing you don’t really need to do anything!

***The battery warranty range is longer then the average passenger car survives in Australia... (average pax car life in Aus is 9.8 years at 13,000km a year)

The roof;

It deserves special note. The entire roof is glass. Spectacular view from the rear seats!

Does it get hot they say? To be honest after getting through an Aussie summer, you only notice radiant heat within 1inch of the surface if it’s been parked in the sun for a long while. Heat transfer has been a non issue - I wouldn’t want a car without a glass roof lever again! * Glass is stronger in a side impact collision and actually safer then a tin roof as found in normal cars.

Headlights:

Epic. By far in a way the best headlights I’ve ever seen/used. Independently voted the best too apparently.

The seats:

Many car manufacturers are going for vegan leather. Bmw has been on this train for a while and thousands of Toyota drivers were on it and not told when they thought they bought real leather.... Basically it’s a very high quality vinyl. Do I wish it was leather. Kind of, but the materials are historically proving to be very robust and easy to clean. They look smick and very comfortable.

The seats are fully electric, heated, adjustable in every direction. Lumbar support and save their position so that each driver profile - will adjust automatically upon getting into the car with your respective smart phone.

Range;

How far and how long to charge are the main questions.

I have the shortest range Tesla. I disagree with the “Australian” advertised testing standard saying the SR+ should do 440KM (I believe)...

With normal driving, air conditioning and potential headwinds. I would say a SAFE range (not flogging the battery) for the SR+ would be 360-370kms from 100-05%. If your desperate, you could “hypermile” up past 400km without too much issue (no aircon, drive slower etc)

Helpful figures;

my commute too and from work, is 75km. It uses 10kw of electricity. Assuming I didn’t use my own solar to charge for free... that’s $2.50 of electricity for my daily commute. With the supplied chargers, I can charge anywhere between 1-8kw. At remote fast DC chargers, you can get up to a crazy 250kw if available... 10-15 mins and your 0-80%.

At home, I charge it at 2000 watts (2kw) - as there is no need to rush. Which takes 5 hours charge to cover my daily commute. if required, I have HEAPS of bandwidth to both increased time (9-10 hours of the night) and increase charge rate (2-8kw). So if I need to leave the house with 100% it’s a non-issue.

There are more and more fast DC charges been deployed up and down the east coast of Aus. I could take this car from Adelaide to Brisbane and up to Cairns if required with fairly minimal fuss. The fast chargers are charging at rates of over 800km an hour. The model 3 is capable of 1600km charge rate an hour infrastructure pending.

NOTE: you don’t drive the car from 100% down to 0% like a petrol/diesel.

You try to maintain a charge between 20-80% to best look after the battery. And you only charge for what you plan to use. So generally a few hours charge of the day or night covers all of your driving.

The included trip planner is VERY accurate at battery level prediction for your destination and round trip. So range anxiety is a complete NON-issue.

note; Headwinds, Heavy rain, and low tyre pressures will have the most effect on the predicted range - knowing this makes it easy to adjust your plan If you're pushing your max range for a road trip...

The Screen;

The massive fast touch screen is simply unbelievable. Smooth, crystal clear and fast. The best part; this car evolves and gets better with time. Over the air updates have improved my autopilot, connectivity, voice commands, and even arcade games, mapping, drive modes (one pedal driving etc) since purchase. The car just keeps getting better and better for free!

Storage:

Well. No engine = storage in the front

And No fuel tank = an extra deep bin in the already fairly large boot.

Heaps of room for a sedan style car.

some negatives and other thoughts;

No spare tire (common on many new cars)

The car seating is low, and could be awkward for people who struggle to get in and out of low cars.

The mirrors and rearview mirror tint automatically in the dark to reduce headlight glare, I find it’s a little too dark.

Occasionally if my phone is facing away or my body is blocking it, it can take 3-5 seconds for it to register my presence before unlocking while I’m holding the door lever. This can be a point of minor frustration, however, the ultimate connectivity and the lack of needing to carry a key FAR outweighs this occasional delay. (Could even be my old iPhone 7).

Rear windows don’t go past 2/3 down.

Rear visibility is a little low - but good mirrors and an excellent reverse cam and 360 degree sensors make this a non-issue.

Other nitty-gritty stuff; Let it be said, Tesla has received criticism for panel gaps and paint quality (more of an early production run issue), my car has been pretty well perfect.

That being said, I didn’t buy this car for its BMW production heritage - this is a cutting edge, safest in class, most technologically connected consumer car ever made. The model 3 is a symbol of Tesla trying to bring electric cars to the masses. I'm fortunate and proud be part of that movement that will help drive costs even lower.

So, if you look super closely, some things like door chrome or panel gaps May be < 1/2 of a mm out. But the car stands for SO much more. Tesla has open-sourced many of their patients, they genuinely want the world to change and they are getting better and better every day!

They are taking on the legacy automakers and not just out-doing them, they are dominating them by delivering a safer, faster, smoother more connected fun car then has ever been produced before.

I have left out MANY other features of this car. If your interested, I encourage you to book a test drive online - the dealers are NOT pushy, because the car is purchased online in your own time. They will literally give you a joy road and answer any questions you have then leave you be!

Any questions feel free to ask.

Purchased in October 2019 at Tesla for $69,000.00.

The ironic twist of using a Stone Age (via 1962) camera design to craft a futurist camera concept is what I am using to celebrate with style my twins' 9-month mark today. Although C+A stands for Cameron and Audrey, we'll settle for "cyber-age" to be germane to our design concept.

With the imminent Microsoft voice-controlled camera technology already patented, this camera is not far off at all from being usable and today can still function simply has a fashion accessory.

This remake and upgrade of the Polarock Camera used in the 1962 Flintstones episode, "Flashgun Freddie" Is made of lightweight, cementitious, foamed concrete panels to allow the user to carry this and move with ease as often seen in Flintstones episodes.

The stacked double-dice cube design and openings into the camera body allow two views: the top view is a light, airy environment typical of a Rolleiflex type of viewing hood, and the lower view is of a heavy gravitas feeling of a Louis Kahn Interior.

Sequence of operation:

1. Hold the camera steady and frame the subject.

2. Open the upper back hatch door and view the image projected against the TLR screen from the viewing lens. Note here that there are two viewing screens: the second one is in front of the bird and represents the image the bird "sees" and has to reproduce, however the protruding digital surveillance camera lens of the bird does not need this second image; the user sees this second image through the mesh-screened hatch door.

3. Clicking the shutter button automatically opens the lower hatch door prompting user to speak a voice command to the Mechanical bird. "Alright Mack, we're ready" Is the programmed voice command to use. Each voice command will be accompanied by an appropriate response from bird's body loudspeaker. At the opening of the hatch door the Bird will automatically say, "Yeah, whaddaya want?"

4. User will hear a brief clip of bird pecking sounds for about 60 seconds (the digital photograph has already been taken from camera residing in the head assembly of the bird), so the time interval is simply a delay for the Polaprinter to make the 2"x3" print

5. At any time if the user says any voice commands like "Hurry up" or "Come on Mack", he will hear an instant reply from the bird while its wings slightly lift up-and-down but the printing process will just continue. Estimated printing time is 60 to 75 seconds.

6. Photo comes out of the printer in a characteristic Stone Age quality and accuracy. Use of a tripod or placement on the floor for baby pictures is highly recommended.

As almost all of my camera designs have social functions in the style of architectural ideals, this particular design also follows this tenet: the social function of this miniature architectural design to street photography is simply that the street photographer can evolve away from his solipsistic tendencies ("the camera is an extension of your arm", "the viewfinder is an extension of your eye") by concentrating on and communicating with the bird.

God will crawl at my feet

These are the dying years

These are the dying years

When you are suffering, know that I have betrayed you. now you'll see your star

prick your finger it is done

the moon has now eclipsed the sun

the angel has spread its wings

the time has come for bitter things i am the beast king of babylon i was born when the moon eclipsed the sun on may 20th 2012 when the time comes there will be a holy war! So the lie now is my weapon

Like a bush dried AND withered in the sun

With a spark I’ll go up in flames

I'd lay my guts out but they’re too small to see

It’s kinda cute how I pretend to be

Everything but the instrument i am.

Peace or happines

So let it enfold you

A birth to life is what I am after

My first name won’t be my last one

Let the light just drip into your eyes

So it’s true my words are contrived

I tell lies just to get into your mind

I’m as fake as a widow’s smile

This mask of glass is what I choose to wear

So I won’t ever have the need to bear

THE TOTAL truth to anyone but me

Peace or happiness

So let it enfold you

A birth to life is what I am after

My first name won’t be my last one

Let the light just drip into your eyes

And I am dead, your eyes are light

I’m just a bad actor stuck with a shitty script

All of my lines are cheap and the cast is weak

There was no music for the first time I got kissed

There was no femme fatale, my mistress wasn’t rich

So I’ve been formatted to fit your TV screen

The film went straight to tape

I'll bow out quietly

So quietly

So quietly

Please do this now I beg

Duct tape my arms and legs

Throw me into the sea

(Please save me, please save me)

Please do this now I beg

Duct tape my arms and legs

Throw me into the sea

(Please save me, please save me)

Now watch the waves eat me

Setting my cold heart free

I'll wash ashore in weeks

(You can’t save me, can’t save me)

Now watch the waves eat me

Setting my cold heart free

I'll wash ashore in weeks

(Can't save me)

You cant save me now "Bite To Break Skin"

So let me take this medicine

To quench my love for violent things

My swan song will

Be like a bullet laced in anger

As the razor cuts a soft spot

On your heel.

(Each breath) is getting slower

(This war) is getting harder

To fight by myself

(Sick waves) of bitter fashion,

(Ripped down) the shield that I have

Tears rain from above.

Do you see?

The life I lead?

So follow me into the sun,

And I will bleed, the poisons dry.

These bayonet scars never cease

To blind the light shed from the beast

And all we do is hate.

(Eyes shot) from constant visions.

(Angels) are rendered useless

Good has lost it's heart.

Do you see?

The life I lead?

So follow me into the sun,

And I will bleed, the poisons dry.

For you [x2]

(For you!) [x3]

Bite to break skin,

Don't give the secret,

My stoic face,

Beaten with passion

The phoenix will die

Inside the fire storm

I am the son

So follow my footsteps.

[x2] "Suicide Is Painless"

Through early morning fog I see

Visions of the things to be

The pains that are withheld for me

I realize and I can see...

That suicide is painless

It brings on many changes

And I can take or leave it if I please

The game of life is hard to play

I'm gonna lose it anyway

The losing card I'll someday lay

So this is all I have to say

Suicide is painless

It brings on many changes

And I can take or leave it if I please

The sword of time will pierce our skins

It doesn't hurt when it begins

But as it works its way on in

The pain grows stronger...watch it grin, but...

Suicide is painless

It brings on many changes

And I can take or leave it if I please

A brave man once requested me

To answer questions that are key

Is it to be or not to be

And I replied 'oh why ask me?'

And suicide is painless

It brings on many changes

And I can take or leave it if I please

This is the beginning! The New Age Of Aquarius- " It Will Be Fought Largely With Mental Weapons And In The World Of Thought; It Will Involve Also The Emotional Realm, From The Standpoint Of Idealistic Fanaticism." It Must Not Be Forgotten That Only Those Souls Who Are On The Probationary Path Or The Path Of The Discipleship Will Form The Nucleus Of The Coming World Religion.." "There Is No Question Therefore That The Work To Be Done In Familiarizing The General Public With The Nature Of The Mysteries Is Paramount Importance At This Time..." It Is A Cycle, Historical, And Not Very Long, But Very Occult, Lasting About 2,155 Solar Years.... "It Occured 2,410 And 255 B.C... Or When The Equinox Entered Into The Sign Of Ram, And Again Into That Of Pisces. When It Enters In A Few Years, The Sign Of Aquarius, Psychologists Will Have Some Extra Work To Do, And The Psycic Idiosyncrasies Of Humanity Will Enter On A Great Change" H.P. Blavatsky. Lucifer A Theosophical Magazine, September 1887 To February 1888, [Kessinger Publishing, 2004] P.174 "... the equinox will reach the sign of Aquarius, and, coinciding the great cycle of influence, we can indeed hope to put a complete end to all the influence of the past Cycle, with its tyranny, slavery, war and cruelty..." "This is one of the great transitional Epochs, and the karma before humanity as a whole, and to every group in particular, is to reform itself from slavery, female subjection, war and cruelty and establish a civilization based on humane-ness and interest in spiritual matters" "But the future is now and the manoeuvres are being unveiled. A far as Christianity's role in this new age Carpenter states: Christianity therefore as i say must either now come frankly forward and acknow-ledge it's parentage from the great order of the past, seek to rehabilitate that and carry mankind one step forward in the path of evolution- or else it must perish there is no alternative." " Despite the vilification of the so-called New Age movment, the fact is that we are entering into a new age... the age referred to in the gospel tale is that of pisces, and, through contrivance and duplicity, coercion and slaughter, the fish-god "Jesus" The Piscean Solar Avatar, has indeed been with us, but now it is the close of the age, and his time is over...." As Hancock says, "We live today in an astrological no man's land at the end of the age of pisces, on the threshold of the New Age of Aquarius. Traditionally these times of transition between one age and the next have been regarded as ill-omened" "Ill-Omened verily as the ongoing destruction of the earth and the endless warfare over ideology will indeed produce the Armageddon so long awaited and planned by those who cannot live for today but must look towards an afterlife by realizing the cultural unity revealedever behind the Christ conspiracy, however humanity can pull together and prevent this fall, to create a better world" Acharya S The Christ conspiracy: the greatest story ever sold [Adventures Unlimited Press, 1999] p 416,417 " Satan is an anagram for Sanat Kumara, who in the esotric philosophy of India is the promethean being who gave mankind the fire of self-conscious and independent, indivudal selfhood." Satan has a possible echo in Theosophic lore, where the lord of the world-the spiritual rule of the earth and head of the great white lodge-is Sanat Kumara.... a Lord of the flame who descended to earth from venus in a fiery chariot some six million years ago" "It is actually Satan that is god the messiah and that jehovah is the evil one" "It is but natural-even from the dead-letter standpoint- to view Satan, the Serpent of the Genesis, as the real creator and benefactor, the father of spiritual mankind" "For it is he who was the "Harbourer of light" bright, radiant Lucifer, who opened the eyes of the automation created by jehovah as alleged; and he who was the first to whisper,"in the day ye eat thereof ye shall be as Elohim, knowing good and evil," "can only be regaurded in the light of a savior. an "adversary" to Jehovah the "personating spirit" he still remains in esoteric truth the ever loving messenger" (the angel) the seraphim and cherubim who both knew well, and loved still more, and who conferred on us spiritual instead of physical immortality.." " Satan, then was originally a divine being destined to carry light and life to the nether worlds he stands for the gift of free will and self conscious mind to man; a power which at once seduces and uplifts man. for with free will comes the power to go astray. Satan is therefore Man's Teacher...." "Lucifer is not a being that we can see with our present day physical eyes; Lucifer can be seen only with the awakened clairvoyance. Seen clairvoyantly, in fact, Lucifer is a particular being who was left behind during the moon phase of evolution." "The adversary or Satan is no other than Lucifer, the light bearer, the bright Morning Star: He is the Initator, awakening the divine faculties of intellect on man" "He is the king of the "Fallen Angels" Spirits from higher spheres, who descended among primitive mankind of the third race"... to develop in man and endow him with his self-conscious mind, or manas" "The "height" of the lodge ("even as high as the heavens") implies that the range of consciousness possible to us, when we have developed our potentialties to the full, is infinite. "has yet to complete his evolution by becoming a god-like being and unifying his consciousness with the omniscient to promote which is and always has been the sole aim and purpose of all initiation." "..and ye shall be as gods." -Satan,Genesis 3:5 "when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afriad of him,"-Deut. 18:22 If I Die I Will Come Back And Destroy Your World #Immortal Matthew 5: 10-12 "Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them!

This is how the prophets who lived before you were persecuted. "to many today, this awareness includes the recognition of higher states of consciousness attained by those who make up the emerging spiritual kingdom, the masters and initiates of the world. their existance was first revealed in modern time by H.P. Blavatsky, co-founder of the theosophical society,as long ago as 1875" "A more detailed communication about the masters and their work was given by alice a bailey between 1919 and 1949. in her book the externalisation of the hierarchy she revealed the existence of a planned return to physical-plane work and activity by this group of enlightened men, which return, i submit has already begun" "Wont the advent of a single world religion annoy the hierarchies of all the current orthodox religions? I asked, more than that he said with a smile. They will be shocked i daresay they will be among the last to accept the Christ" But according to kisling creme said confidently. "it will come because it must. We call out to the beasts of the sea to come forth and join us, this night is yours

Because, one day we will all be with you in the black and deep

One day we will all go into the water

Go into the water

live there die there

live there die

We reject our earthly fires

Gone are days of land empires

Lungs transform to take in water

Cloaked in scales we swim and swim on

We are alive, and we'll metamorphasize

And we'll sink as we devolve back to beasts

Our home is down here, and we've known this for years

We must conquer from the sea, we build an army with water steeds

We'll rise, from our depths down below

Release yourselves, drown with me

We will conquer land with water

Gone are days of land empires

Lungs transform to take in water

Cloaked in scales we swim and swim on

We swim on

We swim on "Awaken"

Musta-Krakish,

Musta-Krakish,

The time has come, to awaken him.

I call upon the ancient lords of the underworld,

To bring forth this beast and,

Awaken, awaken, awaken, awaken,

Take the land, that must be taken.

Awaken, awaken, awaken, awaken,

Devour worlds, smite forsaken

Rise up from your thousand year-old sleep,

Break forth from your grave eternally.

I command you to rise, rise, rise, rise,

rise, rise, rise, rise.

I'm the conjurer of demons,

I'm the father of your death.

I bring forth the ancient evil,

I control his every breath.

I instigate your misfortune,

With the birth of killing trolls.

I awaken armageddon,

Feeding on a thousand souls.

Awaken,

Awaken,

Awaken,

Awaken,

Musta-Krakish, (musta)

Musta-Krakish, (musta)

Musta-Krakish, (musta)

Musta-Krakish, (musta),

Musta-Krakish, (musta)

Musta-Krakish, (musta)

Musta-Krakish, (musta)

Musta-Krakish, (musta)

Awaken, awaken, awaken, awaken,

Take the land, that must be taken.

Awaken, awaken, awaken, awaken,

Devour worlds, smite forsaken

Rise up from your thousand year-old sleep,

Break forth from your grave eternally.

Weak will die and land will all be burned

Musta-Krakish king and death to worlds.

I command you to

Rise, rise, rise, rise, rise, rise, rise, rise,

Rise, rise, rise, rise, rise, rise, rise, rise,

And awaken. "Fansong"

You people out there give us something more than just record sales

You give us something to hate

And we hate you, you brainless mutants

Hate [16x]

You hunched and blinded mutants

Living in chat rooms

You masturbate on the sheets

Your mothers clean for you

You have lined my pockets

Overflowed with gold

You're living with your parents

And you're 35 years old

You're a bunch of banks

That I'd like to rob

You're my online cash transaction

You're my future stocks

Transfer you like money

To a Swiss account

Spend you on an impulse buy

And zero you all out

Hate [16x]

You sad and putrid losers

Complaining on the couch

Think you're fucking better than us?'

You can't leave your house

Deluded little maggots

Fold your arms and frown

Go to work and make me money

Before I put you down

You're a bunch of banks

That I'd like to rob

You're my online cash transaction

You're my future stocks

Transfer you like money

To a Swiss account

Spend you on an impulse buy

And zero you all out

Hate [16x]

I would like to get some sleep

But you keep buying all our things

My overhead is way too deep

For us to not make all these things

It's way too cynical, you see?

Hating what's supporting me

I am not you, I thank the gods

And if I were, I'd die like dogs

Die [30x]

DIE!

Spend you an on impulse buy

And zero you all out

You're a credit card

That I will defile

Every time I max you out

I get a thousand miles

You're a brand new car

That I do not need

Wrap you round a telephone pole

Shrug it off and leave

Just follow me... Down the elevator...

Through the gates... down the stairs...

Just keep on walking... through the hallway...

Now open the door... "Hatredy"

Tragedy goes away

Hate-filled rage

Takes the stage

But you’re neutered in the night

Blinded by the light

Irony and spite

Sarcastic delight

Live to die on stage

Driven by the rage

Hating your own face

Comedic disgrace

Hatredy

Hatredy

Step before the jury,

Die in fits of fury

Comedy is DEATH

HATREDY

Stand before the spotlight

Laughter is a death-right

Crash and burn in horror

Make them squirm

Want to leave

After they buy their drinks

I hate this audience

Regardless of applaudience

Like to take you away

Burn in piles of hate

I hate the talent here

So dull and so full of fear

I'll beat you all to the punch

With an axe and a hack to the guts

I'll take the microphone stand

Run it through your neck

Cut off both your hands

Is this thing even fucking on?

Are you fucking deaf

Or just too scared to run

Are you fucking deaf or just too scared to run

Please take my wife, please take my wife

Then I’ll take your wife, then ill fuck your wife

Just a fucking joke, no its kinda' not

There’s a little truth in every single shot

Fueled by hate

Await your fate

Your time has come

To die on stage

It's funny

Because it's not

It's funny

Because it's not

It's funny

DIE

DIE

DIE

"One Day"

Sometimes I lay

Under the moon

And thank God I'm breathing

Then I pray

Don't take me soon

Cause I'm here for a reason

Sometimes in my tears I drown

But I never let it get me down

So when negativity surrounds

I know some day it'll all turn around

Because

All my live I've been waiting for

I've been praying for

For the people to say

That we dont wanna fight no more

They'll be no more wars

And our children will play

One day [x6]

It's not about

Win or lose

Because we all lose

When they feed on the souls of the innocent

Blood drenched pavement

Keep on moving though the waters stay raging

In this maze you can lose your way (your way)

It might drive you crazy but dont let it faze you no way (no way)

Sometimes in my tears I drown

But I never let it get me down

So my negativity surrounds

I know some day it'll all turn around

Because

All my live I've been waiting for

I've been praying for

For the people to say

That we dont wanna fight no more

They'll be no more wars

And our children will play

One day [x6]

One day this all will change

Treat people the same

Stop with the violence

Down the the hate

One day we'll all be free

And proud to be

Under the same sun

Singing songs of freedom like

One day [x2]

All my live I've been waiting for

I've been praying for

For the people to say

That we don't wanna fight no more

They'll be no more wars

And our children will play

One day [x6]

A rotary phone is an older style of telephone characterized by a circular dial with finger holes for each digit. To dial a number, the user would insert a finger into the hole corresponding to the desired digit and rotate the dial clockwise until it hit a stop. Upon releasing the dial, a spring mechanism would return it to its original position. During this return, the phone would generate a series of electrical pulses, with the number of pulses corresponding to the digit dialed. For example, dialing "5" would send five pulses to the telephone exchange, which would then interpret these pulses to connect the call. This "pulse dialing" method was a marvel of mechanical and electrical engineering for its time.

Rotary phones are no longer widely used today due to the advent of more efficient and versatile technologies. They were largely replaced by push-button telephones (also known as Touch-Tone phones) starting in the 1960s. Push-button phones use dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) signaling, which involves sending distinct audio tones for each number, making dialing significantly faster and more accurate than pulse dialing. Furthermore, the shift from analog to digital telecommunication systems made pulse dialing less compatible with modern infrastructure. The evolution continued with mobile phones and smartphones, which offer a multitude of features beyond basic calling, such as texting, internet access, and a vast array of applications.

The primary reasons today's young generation might struggle to operate a rotary phone stem from a lack of exposure and the significant difference in user interface. Growing up in an era dominated by touchscreens and intuitive digital interfaces, the mechanical and sequential nature of a rotary dial is completely alien to them. They are accustomed to instant feedback and immediate results from a simple tap, whereas a rotary phone requires a deliberate physical action for each digit, followed by a wait for the dial to return before the next digit can be entered. The concept of a "dial tone" itself might be unfamiliar, as modern phones typically connect instantly.

Moreover, the absence of visual cues like an on-screen keypad or immediate haptic feedback can be disorienting. Young people are used to visual prompts and the ability to correct errors easily. With a rotary phone, misdialing a single digit means the entire number has to be redialed, a stark contrast to the backspace or delete functions common on digital devices. The entire process of picking up a receiver, waiting for a dial tone, and then meticulously rotating a dial for each number is a foreign and seemingly cumbersome experience for a generation that interacts with technology through swipes, taps, and voice commands.

I found out my phone camera has a voice command option. I took these by saying CHEESE!

I hate that drum’s discordant sound,

Parading round, and round, and round:

To thoughtless youth it pleasure yields,

And lures from cities and from fields,

To sell their liberty for charms

Of tawdry lace, and glittering arms;

And when Ambition’s voice commands,

To march, and fight, and fall, in foreign lands.

I hate that drum’s discordant sound,

Parading round, and round, and round:

To me it talks of ravag’d plains,

And burning towns, and ruin’d swains,

And mangled limbs, and dying groans,

And widow’s tears, and orphans moans;

And all that misery’s hand bestows,

To fill the catalogue of human woes.

Shadow and BMW M140i Edition Shadow – see BMW emphasising the

youthfully refreshing, sporty character of the 1 Series. The special editions

stand out from their siblings with a kidney grille frame painted in black, LED

headlights with black inserts and darkened rear lights which likewise feature

LED technology. The BMW 1 Series Edition M Sport Shadow has black

exhaust tailpipes, too. The new exterior colours Seaside Blue and Sunset

Orange also contribute to the new car’s more striking looks.

The Sport Line, Urban Line and M Sport variants of the BMW 1 Series remain

in the line-up alongside the standard model. And now there are also specialedition

models to choose from. The handover from one model to the next

sees five new light-alloy wheels being added to the range in 17- and 18-inch

formats. A total of 16 different wheel designs – in sizes ranging from 16 to

18 inches – provide plenty of scope for personalisation. The new

BMW 1 Series Edition Sport Line Shadow comes with exclusive 17-inch lightalloy

wheels (725) as standard. The Edition M Sport Shadow has 18-inch

wheels in either Jet Black or Bicolour Jet Black (719 M) to complement its

shadow-like character. And an additional 18-inch light-alloy wheel design is

offered for the M140i/M140i xDrive Edition Shadow (436 M in Orbit Grey).

Upgraded interior, redesigned instrument panel.

Moving inside the new BMW 1 Series, an array of details add to the cabin’s

exclusive, high-quality feel. With a clear and stylish design, the instrument

panel has been completely reworked to place an even greater emphasis on

driver focus. The black-panel instrument cluster has likewise been

reconfigured. Contrast stitching gives the various model variants a

sophisticated appearance. The centre stack, which houses the control panels

for the radio and air conditioning system, features a high-gloss black surface.

There is a roll cover for the cupholders in the centre console, giving the new

interior a clean look. And the window buttons in the doors now have chrome

trim. Thanks to virtually imperceptible gaps, the glove compartment blends

seamlessly into the overall ambience. The air vents for the air conditioning

have been revised and also contribute to the generous impression of space

created by the interior of the new BMW 1 Series.

Customers can also specify an optional new seat covering in Cognac Dakota

leather, while the interior trim strips are now available with Pearl Chrome

accents. The Urban Line offers exclusive new combinations of white or black

acrylic glass with chrome detailing. The standard model, Sport Line and

M Sport variants can be ordered with new combinations of Piano Finish Black,

aluminium or Fineline wood trim with chrome. When it comes to the seat

coverings, BMW 1 Series customers can choose from seven cloth variants,

some including leather or Alcantara.

Using iDrive, the touchscreen or voice control to operate various functions.

The new BMW 1 Series is equipped with the latest generation of the iDrive

operating system as standard. Using the iDrive Touch Controller allows the

driver to comfortably access and activate a variety of vehicle, navigation and

entertainment functions with one hand. Thanks to the touchpad integrated

into the Controller, it is easy to enter destinations for the navigation system in

handwriting style. If the optional Navigation system Professional is fitted, the

high-resolution central 8.8-inch display now comes in touchscreen form.

Intelligent voice control is the third way of operating these functions.

Perfectly connected from the word go.

Thanks to the standard built-in SIM card in the BMW 1 Series,

ConnectedDrive provides optimum connectivity and access to BMW services

without having to rely on the customer’s smartphone. These include the

Concierge Services, where personal assistants select destinations such as

restaurants or hotels for the driver while en route, make reservations and then

send the information directly to the vehicle’s navigation system, complete with

all contact details. Online Entertainment gives BMW 1 Series occupants a

choice of millions of music tracks and audio books, while RTTI (Real Time

Traffic Information) finds a smart way around traffic jams. RTTI now also

includes a hazard preview based on fleet information, meaning that in addition

to the real-time traffic situation, the service also notifies drivers of dangerous

situations – such as accidents or heavy rain – detected by other BMW

vehicles. Anonymised sensor data is used for this purpose. Hazard reports

and rain are shown on the map in the vehicle’s display, while a warning and

message appear on the navigation map when approaching the location of the

danger.

Plus, in selected cities in Germany and the USA, the On-Street Parking

Information service uses the Navigation system Professional display to

indicate the probability of finding an available roadside parking space.

The all-encompassing digital concept BMW Connected seamlessly integrates

the BMW 1 Series into the user’s digital life via touchpoints such as an

iPhone, Apple Watch, Android smartphone or smartwatch. BMW Connected

detects mobility-related information, such as the addresses contained in the

appointments calendar, and transmits this automatically to the vehicle. The

user then receives a message on their smartphone notifying them in advance

of the ideal departure time based on real-time traffic information. In addition,

places the user drives to regularly and personal mobility patterns are also

stored automatically. This means that manually entering destination

addresses in the navigation system is set to largely become a thing of the

past. If navigation details such as the destination address and desired arrival

time have already been set outside the vehicle on the user’s smartphone, the

link between phone and car will allow BMW Connected to transfer the

information seamlessly and make it available to the BMW navigation system.

BMW Connected and the Remote Services allow BMW 1 Series drivers to

stay in touch with their car at all times, no matter where they are. They can

control the heating and ventilation, lock and unlock the doors and call up

vehicle-related information, quickly and easily using their smartphone. And if

they happen to forget where they parked their car, they can check its location

on a map via BMW Connected. Alternatively, the vehicle’s horn or headlight

flasher can be activated remotely in order to locate it in a large car park, for

example. With the help of Alexa and Alexa-capable devices, BMW 1 Series

drivers in Germany and the UK can even manage their appointments in the

BMW Connected mobility agenda and operate vehicle functions by voice

control from the comfort of their home.

For the first time, BMW now offers Microsoft Office 365 users a secure server

connection for exchanging and editing emails, calendar entries and contact

details in the BMW 1 Series, thanks to the car’s built-in Microsoft Exchange

function.

The optional in-car WiFi hotspot provides a high-speed mobile internet

connection for up to ten devices. Apple CarPlay is also available for the

BMW 1 Series via a BMW navigation system. Integrating the smartphone into

the vehicle’s system environment allows the phone and selected apps to be

operated using the iDrive Controller, voice commands or the touchscreen

display (if the Navigation system Professional is specified). Compatible

smartphones can also be supplied with power wirelessly by means of an

optional inductive charging tray.

Driver assistance systems: extra help for the driver.

The assistance systems on the options list for the new BMW 1 Series include

Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, which enables the vehicle to

move along with the flow of traffic automatically up to near its maximum

speed. The system alerts the driver and applies the brakes if it detects an

obstacle. The Driving Assistant is also available as an option and comprises

the Lane Departure Warning system and City Collision Mitigation, which

applies the brakes automatically at speeds up to 60 km/h (37 mph) in

response to an imminent collision with a car, motorcycle or pedestrian, for

instance. The Parking Assistant, meanwhile, manoeuvres the car into parking

spots that are either parallel or perpendicular to the road. Its ultrasonic sensors

help to search for suitable spaces while travelling at up to 35 km/h (22 mph).

Highly efficient three-, four- and six-cylinder power units.

The new BMW 1 Series comes with a wide choice of petrol and diesel

engines, comprising three-, four- and six-cylinder variants. They all hail from

the state-of-the-art BMW EfficientDynamics engine family and feature

BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. With the exception of the BMW 116i,

116d EfficientDynamics Edition and 118d xDrive, all models can be specified

with the eight-speed Steptronic or eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission

as an alternative to the six-speed manual gearshift. The M140i xDrive can only

be ordered with the eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission.

On the petrol side, the line-up ranges from the BMW 116i – whose

turbocharged three-cylinder unit produces 80 kW/109 hp (fuel consumption

combined: 5.4 – 5.0 l/100 km [52.3 – 56.5 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions

combined: 126 – 116 g/km)* – to the BMW M140i M Performance model,

which stirs 250 kW/340 hp from its six-cylinder in-line engine (fuel

consumption combined: 7.8 – 7.1 l/100 km [36.2 – 39.8 mpg imp]; CO2

emissions combined: 179 – 163 g/km)*.

The diesel models likewise draw their power from cutting-edge engine

technology. In addition to a basic concept that is inherently more efficient, all

the three- and four-cylinder units feature new turbocharger technology and

enhanced common-rail direct injection systems. At the lower end of the

power spectrum is the BMW 116d, delivering 85 kW/116 hp and maximum

torque of 270 Newton metres (199 lb-ft). In the process, it burns

4.1 – 3.6 litres of fuel per 100 km (68.9 – 78.5 mpg imp), equating to CO2

emissions of 107 – 96 g/km*. In extra-efficient BMW 116d EfficientDynamics

Edition guise, fuel consumption is a frugal 3.8 – 3.4 l/100 km

(74.3 – 83.1 mpg imp), resulting in CO2 emissions of 101 – 89 g/km*. The

most powerful four-cylinder diesel engine in the line-up can be found in the

new BMW 125d. The multi-stage turbocharging technology, including

variable turbine geometry for the high-pressure turbocharger, results in

remarkably quick response, output of 165 kW/224 hp and peak torque of

450 Newton metres (332 lb-ft). Combined fuel consumption comes in at

4.6 – 4.3 l/100 km [61.4 – 65.7 mpg imp] and combined CO2 emissions are

120 – 114 g/km*.

Intelligent all-wheel drive for optimum power transmission.

The BMW M140i, BMW 118d and BMW 120d can be specified with

BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive as an alternative to classical rear-wheel

drive. Besides the specific benefits of AWD – such as optimum transmission

of power to the road, supreme driving safety and maximum traction in wintry

conditions, for example – BMW xDrive also reduces understeer and oversteer

through corners. The result is sharper handling in situations such as when

turning into bends.

Two new elite athletes from BMW M GmbH: the M140i andM140i xDrive.

The sportiest member of the BMW 1 Series range also boasts a new look. To

mark the new model year, the BMW M140i M Performance model is also

available in M140i Edition Shadow trim. Black inserts are added to the

standard LED headlights and the kidney grille surround is painted black. The

darkened rear light assemblies lend further impact to the car’s sporting aura,

* Fuel consumption figures based on the EU test cycle, may vary depending on the tyre format specified.

as do the standard 18-inch light-alloy wheels, which are now available for the

first time in Style 436 M Orbit Grey and Style 719 M Jet Black or Bicolour Jet

Black, to go with the previously available Ferric Grey (Style 436 M). The

sportiest BMW 1 Series leaves the factory shod with high-performance

mixed-size tyres as standard, with dimensions of 225/40 at the front and

245/35 at the rear.

The BMW M140i is powered by a three-litre straight-six engine complete with

direct injection, M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology with twin-scroll

turbocharging, fully variable valve timing (VALVETRONIC) and Double-

VANOS variable camshaft control. This all combines to give the BMW M140i

an output of 250 kW/340 hp and maximum torque of 500 Newton metres

(369 lb-ft), which can be summoned from as low down as 1,520 rpm and

remains on tap up to 4,500 rpm. This gives the BMW M140i all the right

credentials for delivering extraordinary performance: with the six-speed

manual gearshift, this compact racer sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in

4.8 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).

When the optional eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission is specified, the

BMW M140i reaches the 100 km/h (62 mph) mark from rest in an even

quicker 4.6 seconds (fuel consumption combined: 7.1 l/100 km

[39.8 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 163 g/km)*. Performance is even

more remarkable in the BMW M140i xDrive versions, thanks to the presence

of intelligent all-wheel drive. Equipped with the eight-speed Steptronic Sport

transmission as standard, the M140i xDrive surges from 0 to 100 km/h

(62 mph) in 4.4 seconds, while returning combined fuel consumption of

7.4 l/100 km (38.2 mpg imp) and CO2 emissions of 169 g/km*.

Variable sport steering adds to the impression of exceptional agility at the

wheel of the BMW M140i. It comes with electromechanical power assistance

and adapts the steering angle of the front wheels to the prevailing driving

situation. This allows lightning-fast evasive manoeuvres but also produces a

sensation of excellent directional and straight-line stability in motorway driving.

The M Sport suspension, M Sport braking system and shorter throw for the

six-speed manual gearshift have all been perfectly matched to the might of

the six-cylinder in-line engine, as have high-performance tyres designed to

ensure that acceleration and braking force are transmitted to the road to

optimum effect. The Driving Experience Control switch in the BMW M140i

features the same modes included in all models in the range, such as

Comfort, Sport and ECO PRO, but also adds the ultra-dynamic Sport+ mode.

In this setting, the configuration of the Dynamic Stability Control system

allows the driver to perform controlled drifts.

“Keep walking” the voice commands, and is it mirror distortion, or maybe because they’ve all been sitting far too long in airplanes, these people have a funny rubbery-legged gait that reminds me of the Ministry of Silly Walks. In United Airlines Terminal 1, the “Terminal for Tomorrow” (1987), Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), which was designed by postmodern architect Helmut Jahn. The 850-foot-long passageway between Concourse B and C has wavy colored-glass walls, moving sidewalks, a mirrored ceiling, and a neon sculpture by Michael Hayden. Computers control the rhythm of the neon display and endlessly replay a short soulless snippet of George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.”

Italian aerospace and defence company Leonardo introduced M-346FA (Fighter Attack) aircraft, a new variant of the Aermacchi M-346 twin-engine advanced trainer aircraft, in June. The new variant is designed to provide enhanced mission performance to the air forces on the battlefield.

The M-346FA combat aircraft can be deployed in ground support roles, including air-to-ground attack, tactical, close air support (CAS), counter-insurgency (COIN), and interdiction with precision guided munitions. It is also suited for pilot training, air-to-air combat, air policing, airborne tactical reconnaissance, and airspace control missions.

The two existing variants of the M-346 family include the M-346 Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) and multi-role M-346FT (Fighter Trainer).

The M-346FA fighter attack aircraft features a digital glass cockpit accommodating two crew members in tandem configuration.

The cockpit incorporates LCD multi-function displays, head-up display, night vision goggle (NVG) device, voice command system, self-protection system, helmet-mounted display (HMD) systems, navigation and communications, and traffic collision avoidance system.

The onboard four-channel fly-by-wire flight control system offers increased mission reliability and flight safety.

With a maximum take-off weight of 10,400kg, the combat aircraft can carry various external loads such as GPS-guided / laser / unguided air-to-air and air-surface weapons, bombs, and targeting pods to attack air and surface-based targets.

A total of seven pylon stations are provided that are capable of mounting weaponry, including Iris-T and AIM-9L air-to-air missiles, rocket launchers, small diameter bomb (SDB), 500lb GBU-38 joint direct attack munitions (JDAM), 1,000lb GBU-32 JDAM, 500lb Lizard 2 laser-guided bomb (LGB), 500lb Lizard 4 GPS/LGB, GBU-12/16 (500lb/1,000lb) Paveway II LGB, 500lb GBU-49 Enhanced Paveway II GPS/LGB, 500lb MK.82HD Snakeye and 1,000lb MK.83 general-purpose bombs.

A gun pod can be fitted to house aircraft ammunition. Additionally, the aircraft carries target designation and tactical reconnaissance pods on the external hardpoints to detect and locate the targets in both day and night-time conditions.

We have a tour of a new TESLA in a carpark somewhere! #unboxing

Just so cool when a Tesla motor is fitted to a Beetle..

youtu.be/DXGKt8sK8CQ

Now you can get a 4WD Defender with a Tesla motor or two… youtu.be/3b3o_IGAYlU

Just clicked over 10,000km. Time for my thoughts.

The Tesla Model 3, breaks all the automative rules in a big way. Absolutely everything about this car is a dream. Here are a FEW reasons why;

Unique features;

Always connected to 4G you get Netflix, YouTube, twitch TV, arcade games (drive racing games with the steering wheel and brake pedal while your passenger can connect an Xbox controller). Web browser and live google maps traffic, karaoke, Spotify, tune in radio and DAB+ the list goes on.

At it’s root, the ability for the car to communicate via 4g extends itself to incredible phone connectivity.

Setup a good quality SSD USB hard drive with a ”Teslacam” folder and you're off. A basic YouTube tutorial may be needed to get you going. The car will record 360 degrees full time while your driving. Honk the horn and it will save the clip into a safe folder, and while you parked the car will detect people movement, and even record any time anyone touches or walks past the car - it will escalate to a light and horn alarm if required (recording the whole time). I have used this feature to claim a door dent after a careless driver opened both his driver and rear passenger doors onto my car. The car captured it all. INSANELY good feature!

The key;

Your phone and it’s Bluetooth is the primary key. Then you can use a credit card like a key as a secondary option that you tap on the B pillar ($20 to replace).

So - if you’ve had a big night in the valley dazed and confused wake up in a bathtub of ice, missing your phone, wallet and your kidneys, call your partner from a friends phone, and they can unlock the car remotely so you can get home/ or to a hospital with no keys at all.

Autopilot;

The base model includes full lane holding, accelerating and braking.

Drive experience;

With all the weight down low (battery), it is a heavy car but it handles like it’s on rails accelerates the very millisecond you touch the pedal. Fast, fun and handles like a go-kart. Enough said. And my SR+ is the “slowest” of them all!!!

Brakes;

The BEST part about electric,

There are multiple drive styles to choose from. You can make the car behave like an automatic car, you can make it coast after regen braking gets you below 5km an hour... or you can enable one-pedal driving. It takes a day to get used too, but once you're dialled in, driving ANY other car is a total drag.

Tesla changed out a component but later said that it could have been fixed with a software fix. Painless fix. No other significant issues, and based on other owners who have done many more Km overseas, I don’t expect any significant issues in the future.

You barely touch the brakes, there is no engine, no exhaust, no timing belts, basically no oil, no camshafts and turbos, no gearbox, clutches, driveshafts, transmissions, no valves and manifolds, no DPF filters, oil filters, air filters, many thousands of less moving parts.

The only thing you really need to do, is an occasional inspection for general car wear, top-up washer fluid and rotate the tyres. Yes really. It’s the BEST feeling knowing you don’t really need to do anything!

***The battery warranty range is longer then the average passenger car survives in Australia... (average pax car life in Aus is 9.8 years at 13,000km a year)

The roof;

It deserves a special note. The entire roof is glass. Spectacular view from the rear seats!

Does it get hot they say? To be honest, after getting through an Aussie summer, you only notice radiant heat within 1inch of the surface if it’s been parked in the sun for a long while. Heat transfer has been a non-issue - I wouldn’t want a car without a glass roof lever again! * Glass is stronger in a side-impact collision and actually safer than a tin roof as found in normal cars.

Headlights:

Epic. By far in a way the best headlights I’ve ever seen/used. Independently voted the best too apparently.

The seats:

Many car manufacturers are going for vegan leather. BMW has been on this train for a while and thousands of Toyota drivers were on it and not told when they thought they bought real leather.... Basically, it’s a very high-quality vinyl. Do I wish it was leather? Kind of, but the materials are historically proving to be very robust and easy to clean. They look slick and very comfortable.

The seats are fully electric, heated, adjustable in every direction. Lumbar support and save their position so that each driver profile - will adjust automatically upon getting into the car with your respective smartphone.

Range;

How far and how long to charge are the main questions.

I have the shortest range, Tesla. I disagree with the “Australian” advertised testing standard saying the SR+ should do 440KM (I believe)...

With normal driving, air conditioning and potential headwinds. I would say a SAFE range (not flogging the battery) for the SR+ would be 360-370kms from 100-05%. If your desperate, you could “hyper mile” up past 400km without too much issue (no aircon, drive slower etc)

Helpful figures;

my commute too and from work is 75km.

The Model 3 is capable of a 1600km charge rate an hour infrastructure pending.

NOTE: you don’t drive the car from 100% down to 0% like petrol/diesel.

The Screen;

The massive fast touch screen is simply unbelievable. Smooth, crystal clear and fast. The best part; this car evolves and gets better with time. Over the air, updates have improved my autopilot, connectivity, voice commands, and even arcade games, mapping, drive modes (one pedal driving etc) since purchase. The car just keeps getting better and better for free!

Storage:

Well. No engine = storage in the front

And No fuel tank = an extra deep bin in the already fairly large boot.

Heaps of room for a sedan style car.

some negatives and other thoughts;

No spare tire (common on many new cars)

The car seating is low and could be awkward for people who struggle to get in and out of low cars.

Rear visibility is a little low - but good mirrors and an excellent reverse cam and 360-degree sensors make this a non-issue.

I'm fortunate and proud to be part of that movement that will help drive costs even lower.

So, if you look super closely, some things like door chrome or panel gaps May be < 1/2 of a mm out. But the car stands for SO much more. Tesla have open-sourced many of their patents, they genuinely want the world to change and they are getting better and better every day!

They are taking on the legacy automakers and not just out-doing them, they are dominating them by delivering a safer, faster, smoother more connected fun car then has ever been produced before.

I have left out MANY other features of this car. If you're interested, I encourage you to book a test drive online - the dealers are NOT pushy, because the car is purchased online in your own time. They will literally give you a joy road and answer any questions you have then leave you be!

Any questions feel free to ask.

Purchased in October 2019 at Tesla for $69,000.00.

Playing with the voice command to take photos

Zeus (back) and Phoebe (front) usually lay together on this chair while I water plants in the front yard. However, this is a posed photo because all the other times I never thought to take a photo of them.

It took several tries to get Phoebe to pose like this. She hasn't learned voice commands yet. Although, Zeus obeys voice commands, but it took several snaps of the camera to get this half way decent pic. In the rest of the pics, Zeus shows his teenager attitude and displeasure with having to pose on the chair.

Don't you just hate it when your robot doesn't respond to your voice commands because you programmed him prepubescently?

The Lincoln C Concept is packaged on Ford's global small car platform and brings luxury to a segment not normally associated with it. From a styling standpoint, the C wears cues started on the MKS and now carried through on both the MKT and the MKZ matched with what looks like the wackiest parts of Renault hatchback elements. Under the hood, the C gets a 1.6 liter four cylinder version of Ford's Ecoboost engine, making 180 HP and 180 lb-ft of torque, mated to a new dual clutch 6 speed transmssion, the whole ensemble gets up to 43 MPG.

The Lincoln C Concept is as much a concept car as it is a platform to carry a concept of the next generation of Ford's Sync system. Next-gen Sync is the latest version of a Buck Rogers future and plays out in this concept with a fully reconfigurable instrument panel spanning the dash, splayed across multiple screens and embodied by an avatar named "Eva." In the concept, you and Eva are digital best buddies and converse naturally, she acts as a creepy friendly little helper, pulling up addresses and mapping directions, making reservations, managing your social calendar, making suggestions on music playlists, and telling you that it can't do that as it would jeopardize the mission. Check out the video below and see what you think.

LINCOLN C CONCEPT: BIG LUXURY IN SMALL PACKAGE

DETROIT, Jan. 12, 2009 – Lincoln is breaking new ground with the Lincoln C concept, a new big idea for a small luxury car.

Designed with today's upscale, urban consumer in mind, the Lincoln C concept brings the presence and elegance of a large Lincoln to a smaller, more efficient C-sized car.

"Modern luxury buyers who live and work in large, urban areas want to play their part in helping the environment by moving to a smaller vehicle, but they still want to enjoy the luxuries of life," said Peter Horbury, executive director of Design, The Americas. "The Lincoln C offers sensible indulgence."

According to Horbury, younger contemporary consumers with slim iPods and pocket-sized cameras have already grown accustomed to the notion of premium quality in a small package.

"During the past decade, people have gotten used to the idea that you could pay more money for a smaller version of the real thing," said Horbury, citing the evolution of music players from tapes to CDs to MP3 players as an example.

"The same philosophy can be applied to the automobile," he added. "People will be happy to buy a smaller car that is better for the environment and more maneuverable in the city as long as the vehicle has all the attributes they want."

The concept's unique size, lightweight construction and use of sustainable materials make the Lincoln C stand out – along with its fuel economy.

Featuring a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine and Ford's all-new dry, dual-clutch PowerShift six-speed transmission, the Lincoln C concept achieves 43 mpg on the highway, while offering up an impressive 180 horsepower and 180 ft.-lbs. of torque. PowerShift and outstanding driving dynamics make the Lincoln C concept fun for the driver.

Plus, a sophisticated human machine interface (HMI) and forward-thinking in-car connectivity technologies bring a whole new dimension to social networking, an important facet of modern customers' active lifestyles.

"Connectivity is as much a luxury for today's younger car buyer as are the traditional luxuries of wood, leather and a comfortable ride," said Horbury. "It means being able to continue your lifestyle seamlessly while you're on the move."

Sporty, Elegant Exterior Design

When designers developed the Lincoln C concept, their goal was to create a C-sized automobile with both presence and elegance. Their vision: a smaller, more fuel-efficient car that could maneuver easily in congested urban areas and compact parking spaces, yet still provide driver and passengers with levels of luxury and comfort usually reserved for larger sedans.

"Lincoln C is about efficiency without compromise," said Freeman Thomas, director of Ford's Strategic Concepts Group, who led the Lincoln C design team – David Woodhouse, Jeremy Leng, Andrei Markevich and Matt Edwards.

One of the most distinctive features of the Lincoln C is its unique silhouette. The visual mass of the car is very low to the road. A low-slung shoulder line with a wheel-at-each-corner stance supports a dynamic, slightly formal cabin. The aim was "go kart" visual stability combined with elegant lines and surfaces.

At first glance, the silhouette is immediately distinguished by a bold front profile, low shoulder, high beltline, wide C-pillar and compact bustle back.

The modern appearance of the Lincoln C reflects the timeless, iconic elements of the Lincoln DNA: sheer surfaces bounded by defined creases; a cantilevered roof extending from a strong C-pillar; a confident double-wing chrome grille; full-width tail lamps and rocker brightwork.

The front end of the concept is unmistakably Lincoln. The signature grille encapsulates LED headlamps that – like the taillights – are made with prismatic optical elements that create depth and visual sophistication. A sculpted groove in the top of the front hood – which derives its shape from the Lincoln badge – adds a finishing touch to the grille of the car.

A low shoulder line combines with a strong, high belt line to create a sense of safety and privacy inside and outside of the vehicle.

An aluminum cantrail adds elegance to the concept by extending the beltline to the rear glass and breaking up the otherwise tall C-pillar. Aluminum is also visible inside the door apertures.

The Lincoln C is absent of a B-pillar or center post. The center-opening doors – a classic Lincoln trait that rekindles memories of the 1961 Continental – allow effortless access to first- and second-row bench seats and give the vehicle a limousine-like quality.

Sleek side mirrors house both advanced rear-view camera and blind spot detection technologies. Slit-like LED turn signal indicators are integrated into the mirrors, allowing slim, efficient light.

LED taillamps span the full-width of the Lincoln C's rear, featuring turn signal indicators that fade toward the center of the car stretch from side to side.

An all-glass roof provides a modern, futuristic look. The expansive opening illuminates the cabin and enhances the sense of spaciousness inside the car.

Designers reinterpreted the presentation of the Lincoln badge throughout the exterior of the Lincoln C in a subtle way, giving it a contemporary "race track" theme. The Lincoln star sits proudly at the center of the front end, and the rear badge is slightly morphed to suit its placement above the taillights.

A more in-depth look at various details of the Lincoln C reveals that the badge motif is repeated in discreet ways in the design of the front lower intake mesh; the shape of the glass roof and structure; the implied illuminated keyholes on the door handles; the shape of the rear-view camera that sits on the back of the roof; the design of the wheels and the pattern in the tire treads.

The exterior of the Lincoln C is bathed in a light, exterior clear coat that hints of yellow metallic.

Modern, Timeless Interior Design

Inside, the Lincoln C concept welcomes driver and passengers to a space that looks more like the living room of a contemporary urban loft than the inside of a car.

Elements of classic Lincoln DNA permeate the cabin, including: a bright, clean, light color palette; authentic materials such as wood and metal; ambient lighting; jewel-like chrome details; bench seating; and the symmetrical design of the instrument panel, which thoughtfully serves both driver and passengers.

The interior's all-white color palette — from roof to seats to floor — is stunning. Subtle chrome accents on the seats, instrument panel, door panels and floor glimmer like fine jewelry. A light gray wood veneer – made from recycled wood – provides a striking contrast against the white leather on the instrument panel and door panels. The headliner is white Alcantara suede.

Because the Lincoln C concept is two inches wider than conventional C-class vehicles, it offers the roominess of a 1961 Continental at almost half the length. In modern terms, the vehicle has the overall length of a Ford Focus and the overall width of a Lincoln MKZ.

Designers took full advantage of the extra space in the interior of the Lincoln C by incorporating luxurious bench seating in the front and back rows. They are crafted from luxurious, chromium-free leather and filled with soy foam. The seats are thin and lightweight, but because they were designed to an ergonomic comfort curve, they are extremely comfortable.

There is a single headrest on the left and a double headrest on the right for passengers in both rows. All the headrests automatically retract without occupants for optimized driver vision. Convenience trays are housed compactly behind the front bench. In the closed position, they are flush with the leather and feature chrome release handles.

One of the most eye-catching elements of the seating is the laser-engraved floral etching on the passenger side seats and floor and on the back of the driver's seat. It is a light, airy pattern that gives the interior a refined, sophisticated look.

Because of their unique shape and the imperceptible way that they are mounted to the floor, the benches appear to be floating inside the cabin.

The steering wheel and instrument panel also seem to be suspended in air. All of these elements combine to enhance the concept's futuristic look, openness, and give the impression of dynamic space within the vehicle.

The steering wheel is hubless, lending the driver an unobstructed view of the instrument panel. The glossy white rim rotates around a stationary chrome ring with chrome shifter paddles on both sides. Simple toggles embedded into the left and right sides of the wheel control the vehicle's navigation system and menu selection.

The instrument panel is leather-wrapped with a chrome bezel. The light, gray wood veneer forms a symmetrical shape that surrounds the center-mounted touch screen and extends out to the right and left sides. Above the center screen is the Lincoln nomenclature and badge, finished tastefully in chrome.

The panoramic instrument panel is divided into three sections and designed with a mixture of digital and analog components. The left side contains Lincoln's signature HMI menus and driver-related information. The center portion displays a multi-functional screen displaying navigation, SYNC details and a life-like custom avatar to help make everyday journeys more seamless and other helpful, driver-oriented options.

Soft, white ambient lighting creates a relaxing atmosphere inside the cabin. The lighting is integrated into the C-pillar with a front face that displays the Lincoln badge.

The roof also features an integrated rearview mirror and a chrome-trimmed Web camera that rotates to the right or left, depending on whether the driver or the passenger is communicating via the Internet. A chrome air vent follows the shape of the glass roof.

"While the most luxurious and indulgent products often come in the smallest packages, unfortunately this hasn't been true of most small cars recently," said J Mays, Ford's group vice president of Design. "With the Lincoln C, we've remixed the traditional small car formula, taking the most engaging technologies and wrapping them in a design fit for today's urban luxury customer – without sacrificing style or substance."

LINCOLN C PAIRS ECOBOOST I-4 WITH DUAL-CLUTCH POWERSHIFT TRANSMISSION FOR 40-PLUS MPG

DETROIT, Jan. 12, 2009 – The Lincoln C concept showcases Ford Motor Company's newest combination of fuel-efficient powertrain innovations: a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine mated to a dual-clutch PowerShift transmission.

Featuring a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine and Ford's all-new dry, dual-clutch PowerShift six-speed transmission, Lincoln C achieves a projected 43 mpg on the highway, while offering up an estimated 180 horsepower and 180 ft.-lbs. of torque. That's a nearly 25 percent fuel-economy improvement over Lincoln C's fuel-sipping C-car cousin, the Ford Focus, which currently delivers unsurpassed highway fuel economy in its segment when equipped with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine.

"Lincoln C demonstrates that a higher degree of engine downsizing as the key to fuel economy improvement, paired with the right technologies, can deliver optimum horsepower, torque and drive-away capability," said Andreas Schamel, a chief engine engineer with Ford's Powertrain Research Laboratory. "Plus, when combined with the PowerShift six-speed transmission, the impossible equation becomes perfectly possible: lower fuel consumption, increased power and smoother, more fun-to-drive performance."

The 1.6-Liter EcoBoost Engine

The Lincoln C concept's 1.6-liter engine dimensions the common attributes of Ford's EcoBoost strategy, leveraging a combination of direct fuel injection technology and turbocharging to deliver significantly improved fuel economy and torque versus a larger displacement engine, while reducing emissions up to 15 percent.

The 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine features turbocharging and a central-injector direct injection system. Using a central injector instead of a side-injector system provides improved fuel-air mixture preparation, helping to further reduce fuel consumption and lower emissions. A central injector-based system also provides the most flexible foundation for future fuel-saving technologies.

"We know that a central injection system is a prerequisite for future global fuel economy upgrades such as stratified lean operation, homogeneous charge compression ignition or HCCI, and premium injection system technology if the market demands," said Martin Wirth, a Ford Direct Injection Gasoline Systems and Combustion technical specialist. "It's a value solution that gives us the ability to answer market trends quickly and provide broad market coverage, a key component of the EcoBoost strategy to deliver an affordable, fuel-efficient engine technology at high volumes."

When compared to a standard 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine can deliver up to a 10-percent gain in fuel economy simply on the merits of the engine downsizing and boosting as well as common powertrain systems such as twin independent variable camshaft timing (TI-VCT).

TI-VCT varies the phase of the intake and exhaust cams independently for improved airflow through the engine, which delivers more torque while reducing average fuel consumption by up to 5 percent. "TI-VCT gives us better low-end torque and drive-away capabilities even under the stronger engine downsizing conditions," said Wirth.

The 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine also features other sophisticated fuel-saving powertrain technologies such as Assisted Direct Start, which contributes to an additional 3 percent gain in fuel efficiency.

Assisted Direct Start automatically shuts down the engine when the vehicle is at idle – at a stop light, for example – and automatically restarts the engine when the brake is released or gas pedal is engaged, improving fuel economy by saving idle fuel consumption.

When a vehicle comes to a stop, the electronic control unit immediately synchronizes the engine's systems for restart. Once the brake pedal is released or the gas pedal is engaged, a short starter engagement triggers the direct fuel injection system to fill the cylinders with fuel, initiate combustion and start the engine, producing the no-hesitation vehicle launch. An advanced battery management system converts braking energy into electricity and stores it to keep electrical systems operating while the engine is not running.

This advanced system provides consistent start behavior of the stopped or stopping engine that is smooth, quiet and seamless to the customer, requiring no changes in driver behavior.

Powershift Transmission

The Lincoln C concept also features Ford's dual-clutch PowerShift six-speed transmission, which delivers the efficiency of a manual with the ease of operation of a premium automatic transmission.

Compared to traditional automatic four-speed transmissions, PowerShift can help reduce fuel consumption by up to 9 percent depending on the application. PowerShift, for example, contributes to an estimated 8 percent uptick in Lincoln C's fuel efficiency when compared to the current Focus.

"The Lincoln C application of PowerShift helps illustrate the competitive advantage this transmission will offer to Ford in the global small car markets," said Jack Dorigo, North America Powertrain Planning manager. "It's a new-to-segment technology that's an improvement over today's automatic transmissions in terms of fuel economy while providing customers a more connected feel between the pedal and the vehicle's acceleration."

PowerShift provides the full comfort of an automatic with a more sophisticated driving dynamic, thanks to uninterrupted torque from the dual-clutch technology, which consists essentially of two manual transmissions working in parallel, each with its own independent clutch unit. One clutch carries the uneven gears – 1, 3 and 5 – while the other the even gears – 2, 4 and 6. Subsequent gear changes are coordinated between both clutches as they engage and disengage for a seamless delivery of torque to the wheels.

The lean curb weight of the Lincoln C enables a dry-clutch derivative of Ford's PowerShift transmission for added efficiency and durability. A dry clutch transmits power and torque through manual transmission clutch facings, while most automatic transmissions utilize wet clutch plates submerged in oil. As a result, the dry-clutch PowerShift transmission does not require an oil pump or torque converter, providing superior mechanical efficiency.

"A dry clutch is a real sweet spot for lighter vehicle applications like the Lincoln C concept," said Piero Aversa, manager, Ford Automatic Transmission Engineering. "It is perfectly matched to this vehicle and engine. PowerShift is more efficient, it saves weight, is more durable, more efficient and the unit is sealed for life, requiring no regular maintenance."

Lincoln C weighs in at 2,750 lbs. due to a number of light-weighting measures, including the transmission. PowerShift, unlike conventional automatic transmissions, does not need the pound-adding torque converter or planetary gears. In addition, the dry-clutch derivative eliminates the need for the weighty pumps, hydraulic fluids, cooling lines and external coolers that wet clutch transmissions require. As a result, the dry-clutch PowerShift transmission showcased on the Lincoln C is nearly 30 pounds lighter than the four-speed automatic transmission featured on today's Focus.

Differentiating PowerShift even further in terms of its customer appeal is its shift quality, launch feel and overall drive dynamic, which are all facilitated by an expert blend of Ford-exclusive electro-mechanical systems, software features, calibrations and controls. These unique driving features include:

• Neutral coast down – The clutches will disengage when the brakes are applied, improving coasting downshifts and clutch robustness as well as reducing parasitic losses for increased fuel economy.

• Precise clutch control in the form of a clutch slip to provide torsional damping of the engine vibration – This function improves noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) at low engine speeds and enables lower lugging limits for improved fuel economy.

• Low-speed driving or creep mode with integrated brake pressure – This function simulates the low-speed control drivers are accustomed to from an automatic transmission. T he amount of rolling torque in Drive and Reverse is precisely controlled, gradually building as brake pressure is released.

• Hill mode or launch assist – Prevents a vehicle from rolling back on a grade by maintaining brake pressure until the engine delivers enough torque to move the vehicle up the hill, providing improved driver confidence, comfort, safety and clutch robustness.

LINCOLN C SHOWCASES THE FUTURE OF DRIVER INFORMATION AND IN-CAR CONNECTIVITY SYSTEMS

DETROIT, Jan. 12, 2009 – Powered by a sophisticated human machine interface (HMI) and forward-thinking in-car connectivity technologies, the Lincoln C concept reinvents the automobile as a customer's companion in life on and off the road.

Lincoln C's car-to-companion transformation is the result of an innovative melding of Ford's new signature HMI as well as a next-generation in-car connectivity features anchored by Ford's award-winning SYNC technology and a revolutionary new system that helps intuitively connect occupants with the vehicle, their mobile devices and even the outside world.

All interaction and information is offered up in a simple, intelligent format that keeps a driver informed – but not distracted.

Simple, Sophisticated Control

The foundation of Lincoln C's connectivity capabilities is Ford's signature HMI.

This intelligent interface makes useful and relevant information and functionality immediately available to the driver in a way that is logical, easy to use and completely integrated.

"Before technologies such as SYNC were even crystallized, we knew we had to create a way for people to interface with their vehicle and its myriad technologies and features that was more manageable and limitless in terms of its ability to incorporate new innovations as they come," said Gary Braddock, Ford's group chief designer. "Our HMI had to create for the auto world what the mouse is to the PC world."

Unique to Ford's HMI strategy is the seemingly simplistic approach to how and where information is displayed. All car-related information, for example, appears to the left of the speedometer, including fuel economy, trip information and vehicle diagnostics. Passenger-related functions, such as audio, climate, navigation and phone, appear to the right of the instrument cluster.

"The beauty of this system is that the way information is offered encourages you to explore deeper and deeper and discover – without fear or intimidation – just how much the product can do for you," said Braddock.

The system's integrated platform offers tried-and-true methods of information control – steering wheel switches, touch screens and voice-activation – which can be alternatively used by the driver depending on the task, desire for control and preference.

The set of steering wheel controls, one on the left to access the car-related information and another on the right for the people-related functions, uses a stereotypical five-way mapping similar to that found on most cell phones and MP3 players – up, down, left, right and a center OK button – creating instant familiarity for the user.

Ford's signature HMI also aligns cluster and center stack display technologies and graphic treatments for visual harmony and synchronized information delivery. In the case of the Lincoln C concept, the touch-screen center stack has a four-corner layout that includes phone in the upper left, audio in the lower left, navigation in the upper right and climate in the lower right.

"Our vision for HMI is to make a customer's transition from home, to car, to the office and back again be experienced as seamless and uncompromised," said John Schneider, global chief engineer responsible for HMI, Driver Controls and Infotainment. "We want our vehicles to give you exactly what you need, when you need it and how need it. And, we want to do it in a way that adds emotion, personality and excitement for the customer."

In-Car Connectivity

Lincoln C features the latest in terms of SYNC-enabled technologies, providing hands-free, voice-activated cell phone, text messaging, and digital media player integration as well as security and personalized convenience features such as 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Reports.

In addition, the in-vehicle communications system is expanded to include a proprietary plug-and-play network architecture that can use a Bluetooth-enabled phone to access Internet-based services such as traffic reports, turn-by-turn navigation, a 14-million-plus business directory listing, weather forecasts, the latest sports scores and more. Customers have the option to personalize this information.

This latest evolution of SYNC with the Traffic, Directions and Information feature is set to launch next year on nearly all 2010 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles.

"SYNC puts Ford in a sweet spot in terms of vehicle connectivity because it allows us to take the cockpit of a vehicle and open it up to our customers' personal devices, especially the mobile phone – which is considered by many as an extension of oneself," said Joseph Berry, a member of Ford's newly formed Consumer Service Organization and a lead architect of the company's emerging off-board services system.

In-Car Companion

Catapulting Lincoln C's in-car connectivity to an unprecedented level is the system that uses a life-like avatar to connect the driver to the vehicle and all the functionality offered through key systems such as Ford's signature HMI and SYNC.

This avatar – nicknamed "EVA" – lives on the Lincoln C instrument panel and can take on a personalized visual image and personality. It responds to conversational speech, eliminating the need for menus or learned voice commands. Plus, EVA expertly manages and initiates all vehicle and SYNC-enabled functions and information to the driver. The avatar can even sense a driver's mood through voice and drive style and respond appropriately with, for example, a favorite song suggestion from a SYNC-connected MP3 music library.

This unique system on the Lincoln C concept also offers in-car Internet access, allowing the avatar to surf the Web for the driver and read the morning's online news headlines or latest restaurant reviews, check e-mail, or access a friend's Facebook page. The system will even advise the driver when and where to refuel based on fuel level, driving habits, gas station locations and current prices.

"We've taken the notion of effective vehicle HMI and the user's experience to the next level," said Braddock. "Our system creates a method of organization and function in the vehicle that is intuitive, familiar and keeps the driver focused on driving, along with creating a personality within the vehicle that evokes emotion, a personal connection and a sense of confident control."
