Children Of The Corn is a visual project that belongs to Yamil Charles, a young photographer from Bolivia, who shattered by the extreme situations children from Bolivia live, decided to show to the world the other side of the moon of being a little human being.

When we think about kids, it's pretty sure that adjetives as "cute, beautiful, innocent" come to our mind. And thats justificable and normal, but have we thought truly and deeply about what is to be a chilndren in a non-developed country?

I have because I've been one.

Many of who we are young or adults now, went through really extreme situations. Some of us got lucky enough to get chances in live as education, others didn't.

And the current situation for many children in my country are not different to the 90's generation. Their parents lack of jobs or one important tool for improvement: education that help them improve their quality life as a family and a million of etcs.

And these album, shows the other reality, the dark one of these children who are not even able to fight for better chances, the ones who pay the result of many bad situations. What would they say in case we could listen to them at least for once? How would they describe their lives if they could write down?

For sure the adjectives wouldn't be "cute, beautiful or innocent" as you would think about them, cause hunger or poverty don't know about justice.

All these pictures that have been modified for the main goal of it, were taken in charity events I participated, the ones that tried to help the children and theirs families with food, clothes and in some cases jobs for their parents. Of course many of these events don't erase all the problems but they give them the hope we all need to fight for injustice.

Do you want to do something? If you read this, you're still alive which means you are still able to do something for the ones who certainly in this kinds of situacions lack of live.

They are childre, they are pure...

Share this album, I'm pretty sure there are people that because of this, will help to make this world a better place, specially for children.

I'm primarily in Montreal for the comedy festival. These street performers kept me entertained for a while though I do think it would be more amusing if the bass was played on stilts too......
