Hull City Council was supported by the British and Icelandic governments, private sector companies in Hull, and the British Embassy in Iceland to commission two artworks.

The first, called Voyage, gazes across the Humber from Victoria Pier. Its eyes follow the direction Hull trawlers would take on their way to Iceland. The sculpture is made from brass on a basalt rock plinth, and was unveiled by Icelandic President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson.

The second, called For, faces the wind and rain-buffeted Icelandic coastline, at a small community called Vik. It looks across the cold north Atlantic towards Hull.

Reynisdrangar im Abendlicht

I arrived in Vík just as the sun was going down. This is the beautiful black sandy beach with the tide going out.

Vík í Mýrdal in Iceland. A remarkable nearby feature is the beautiful black beach with the Reynisdrangar, black basalt columns sculpted by the sea. It's too an ornithological reserve with many species of birds in particular the most famous : the puffins.

Today my Facebook feed was full with people going/wanting to go to Iceland. HA I'VE JUST BEEN THERE HA.

Wikipedia:

Vík í Mýrdal is a remote seaside village in the south of Iceland. It lies in the shadow of the Mýrdalsjökull glacier, which covers the Katla volcano. Reyniskirkja is a wooden church built in 1929, and Reynisfjara beach is a black pebble beach with basalt columns and the Reynisdrangar rock formations offshore. The cliffs of Reynisfjall Mountain are home to seabirds, including puffins. There is a large rock arch on the Dyrhólaey Peninsula immediately to the west.
