A cracking sunset on a chilly January evening on the south coast of Iceland at Vik.
Looks best on black.

Vik is from Lithuania. She moved to London a few years back, and is currently finishing her Masters in Global Ethics. Vik is a heavy metal fan, enjoying going to concerts, as well as fitness.
VÃk à Mýrdal is a remote seafront village in south Iceland. It sits in the shadow of Mýrdalsjökull glacier, which covers the Katla volcano. Reyniskirkja is a wooden church dating to 1929. Reynisfjara beach has black pebbles, basalt columns and the Reynisdrangar offshore rock formations. The cliffs of Reynisfjall mountain are home to seabirds such as puffins

Vik's waves are totally different in the summer than in the winter. Although it was high tide, I was able to running through the shallow water to get closer to the sea stacks. Watching the cute puffins fly around, I only wish I had a 600mm lens, my 100-400mm can barely catch them.
Lupins blow in the wind on the beach in Vik, Iceland. Both times I was in Vik it was raining and extremely windy. A 30 minute drive away and it was sunny.

De schemering valt in bij het haventje van Vik aan de Oostzeekust. Vanuit het westen kwam bewolking en dat gaf een bijzonder licht.

Dusk falls at the tiny harbour of Vik on the Baltic coast. Clouds were coming in from the west, giving a special light.
