Taken from Roosevelt Island looking across to Rosslyn as the ice from a a recent freeze was beginning to break-up on the channel separating the island and Virginia.
Image was scanned using an Epson V750 at max resolution. The original image took over half an hour to scan, was 1.2gb in size and measured 96 inches on the long side at 300ppi.

Shot on a Gandolfi 10 x 8 studio view camera. I forget what lens. Most likely a standard 300mm

took me a couple days to clean it up, and all the others might also take some time to put up....but this was part of my senior project back in '08 about twilight inspired by Michael Wolf's "Transparent City"....i took the res down significantly but in the original neg you can see the furniture in all the windows :)
Ok... I confess, this baby took me daaays to construct. My computer crashed many times in the process
I made a panoramic view in the suburb where I live. It's a small and peaceful town annexed to the city Breda

-Haagsemarkt 34 (Het Roode Hert) 1518 oldest inn in Breda
-Haagsemarkt 1 townhall 1763
-Haagsemarkt 2 church 1873 (current view of the church) , although the first chapel on that spot was build in 1261
-Haagsemarkt 6 1st half of 19th Century

Gelatin-silver photograph on Ultrafine Silver Eagle VC FB photographic paper, image size 24.6cm X 19.6cm, from a 8x10 Fomapan 100 negative exposed in a Tachihara 810HD triple extension field view camera fitted with a 610mm f9 Apo-Nikkor lens.
Titled, signed, and stamped verso.
The 5 second exposure was executed by removing and replacing the lenscap. Lens aperture was f128 but the small amount of image diffraction is invisible in a 8x10 contact photograph.

Camera: Calumet 45NX 4x5 large format monorail view camera.
Lens: Rodenstock Geronar 150mm F6.3 lens in a Copal 0 shutter.
Film: Arista EDU 200 Ultra B&W Negative Film, shot at box speed.
Exposure: 20 seconds @ F32.
Development: Self Developed film in Rodinal (Adox Adinol) 1:100 in three reel Paterson Universal Tank using Mod54 six sheet 4x5 insert. Semi-Stand for 15 minutes with initial minute of inversions then 10 seconds of inversion on minutes one and two then let it sit until minute 14 when I do a final ten seconds of inversions. Kodak indicator stop bath. Ilford Rapid Fixer. Photo-Flo. Hung to dry.
Scanning: Negative scanned with Epson V600 in two scans and merged back together in PhotoShop since the V600 doesn't natively support 4x5 scans in one pass. Cropped in Lightroom.

The lens has more markings on it but from a different manufacturer from a different city so my guess is it's a third party component picked by the camera body's craftsman.

Lighting: Lit from the overhead lamp over the dining room table. I think that's a 60 watt bulb in there.
Film: Fuji Super HR-T 30 medium speed green sensitive X-Ray film. Purchased as 8x10" sheets and cut down to 4x5". Film rated at 100 ISO.
Exposure: 12 seconds @ F22 after adjusting for bellows extension, film reciprocity and filter factors.
Development: Self Developed film in Rodinal (Adox Adinol) 1:100 in three reel Paterson Universal Tank using Mod54 six sheet 4x5 insert. 6 minutes @ 20 degrees Celsius with minimal inversions. Tap water stop bath. Ilford Rapid Fixer. Photo-Flo. Hung on shower curtain to dry on film.
Scanning: Negative scanned with Epson V600 in two scans and merged back together in PhotoShop since the V600 doesn't natively support 4x5 scans in one pass. Cropped to square in Photoshop.
Camera: Linhof BI Kardan view camera, 6x9cm Super Rollex back, 90mm Super Angulon lens. Film: Fuji Reala.
Is there any light worse than mid-day in the desert? Well it's what I had to work with when I stopped in Rhyolite, a ghost town just outside Death Vally NP on my way back to Las Vegas. There was also a pretty stiff wind blowing, so even 1/15th sec between gusts was challenging.

This summer it was the golden wedding of my parents, a 50 years marriage.
I took some pictures of the elder membrers of family and friends woth my old Busch Pressman D, just before it began to rain for the week end.
Foma 100 in rodinal (20ml in 1500ml) , stand dev. Agitation the first minute and at 30'.

This evening I (sort of) finished the re-assembly of my Deadorff V8. Now I just have the epic task of constructing an 8x10 tapered, square cornered bellows.

Just finished refurbishing this Graflex Crown Graphic. Bare wood finish fresh wrinkle coat paint job, complete with swing modified front standard and a cool wooden tripod. Old brass lens from Kodak 5x7 camera.

Vandalism caused the lost of a third of the painting by blackening at night the part reachable from the ground. Neither those criminals nore their motives are known.
Negotiations to restore are ongoing.
The unsharp districts are distinctivly choosen by camaratechnics to emphasize the concentration on the photographic subject!
