Civil Twilight at North Point on Crow's Nest Mountain.

I was late on arrival for golden hour light, but the sky certainly put on a show once the sun went down. The vegetation had filled in from early spring when I was last there, but such a great spot with endless opportunity for compositions.

Sunset at Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah, approximately 30 miles from Moab.

I just returned from a photography workshop out in the Southwest instructed by Robert Rodriguez Jr, a local fine art nature and landscape photographer based out of Beacon, NY. Throughout the next few weeks, I'll be sharing some of the fantastic locations that we photographed. It was truly a memorable experience that I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in.

When we arrived on location, the scene was mostly dark as storm clouds surrounded us in every direction. For a few moments, as we approached sunset, the sun broke through creating depth and dimension in the canyon.

Ruins like this one are scattered all over northern Cornwall, marking the sites of old mines. They housed steam engines that drove water pumps used to keep the mines dry. You can just see the ocean in the distance.

This is one of the most difficult pictures I took last week. This is a long exposure through a dirty glass in the hotel. It took a while until I got the desired results and that the reflections were not visible in the picture. It's a 5s exposure with a polariser filter and some edits on photoshop to get rid of some unwanted reflections. The results are quite nice as you can see all the city lit up.

Breathtaking Algarve ❖ L'Algarve dans toute sa splendeur by Lucie

You might have noticed that I have not been around for a while. It is in part because I just came back from a few weeks vacation in the Algarve region of Portugal. A wonderful place and country. Here is a picture of one of the many spectacular views we cherished from the steep cliff walk we could do every day, starting 0.5 km away from our condo.

C'est en partie parce que je reviens tout juste d'un merveilleux voyage de quelques semaines dans la région de l'Algarve au Portugal. Une région et un pays magnifiques! Voici une photo d'une des vues spectaculaires qui nous attendaient à chaque tournant le long d'un des sentiers qui longent les falaises escarpées de l'Algarve. L'accès à ce sentier n'était qu'à 0,5 km à peine de notre condo.

Today our last day of tropical beach before heading back to more civilized locations. Here you can see one of the surfers defeated by the strong and brave waves of today. He really tried and I managed to get some pictures of him that I'll post later. The location is just another post-card.
