I took this video self portrait for my Photo and the Web class. We had to take a video doing something that reflected ourselves.

Here's a video showing how they play the game...

I've resaved as *.avi compressed directly from Flash.

Quick video (under 2 minutes) showing my process to create images using pictures rendered with artificial intelligence, then composed into a final image using photoshop.

The final image can be seen here: www.flickr.com/photos/dandjdivine/53116204898/in/datepost...

I posted another time lapse sequence. The whole sequence is about three minutes long.... too much for Flickr, but the link to Vimeo is vimeo.com/30652814.

In this sequence we're on an inbound general cargo ship going from Morgan's Point, at the head of Galveston Bay, to the very end of the channel at the Port of Houston Turning Basin where we turn the ship and go back downstream a little to dock head out at the public docks.

I was having one of those days and I just knew something would go wrong.

Well I guess this guy was having one of those days too.

Watch for it at the very end :-)

Another short video clip showing some of the varied patterns which arise from soap and water films inside small frames. This is mainly as a response to the questions I've been asked about using this 'soap frame' for photography, to give an idea of the movement of the liquid. The inner circle measures 18mm but different sizes can be used. I would like to find a more attractive frame but this is the only one I have at the moment.

Taken with my trusty little Sony W50 'point and shoot' as my better Sony (A100) doesn't have the movie facility. The quality varies as the camera (on a tripod) is trying to focus, but it will give an idea of what's happening in real time.

I apologise for the irritating clicks - I don't have any way to mute the sound. Probably a good idea to turn your volume down before watching ;-)

San Diego. Gaslamp DIstrict. September 6, 2010. 10pm.

I never miss the change to take video of random people vomitting.

Ok, I thought the sound was from this beetle. I know it's a cricket sound, but I thought maybe I've found another little creature that gives away the same sound. But while filming I started to think it's impossible to "sing" so evenly and move so fast. And I've heard then the sound was coming from a bit more left. And after the climbing beetle left the sound was still there. :) So don't make the same mistake and don't think this beetle is so loud if you see it and hear a cricket at the same time. :)

And thanks to natalija's photostream I know now the ID of this beetle.

The second of a series of short home video clips showing some of the varied patterns which arise from soap and water films inside small frames. dear mason,

auntie wendy and uncle victor got to babysit you today and what a day it was!

you cried a bit at first but stopped after i sang to you. then we played telephone and get the monkey, you liked that a lot. you got hungry and i fed you cheerios which you enjoyed. my favorite part of the day is when i fed you and you fell asleep on me. you drooled a little on my juicy couture tracksuit but i did not care because you are so darn cute. you slept on me for over one hour and i enjoyed every minute of it.

i hope i get to babysit you again. you are so much fun.

i miss you already.

love,

Godmommy

This is a custom project for one of our customers who needed a live camera to broadcast video inside a LEGO jet. We found the smallest video screen we could and connected it to the smallest camera, and voila! Quite possibly the world's smallest live video broadcast setup!

Method of presenting the group members, in which each participant makes a drawing of the fellow group members, based upon a 5-minute chat. Afterwards the drawings were presented to the entire group.

Please note that the video cuts off a little early due to restrictions here (about 30 seconds worth). The very end is a pan down of the couple kissing on the staircase.

I always look forward to editing a romantic video montage, it gives me a chance to replace the sometimes loud sounds of a wedding reception with romantic music. I always included a montage like this at the very end of every "live action" wedding video that I created. Many times people just look a little better, more elegant, in video when they are slowed down a little which is what I did here.. This video was shot with a Panasonic HMC-40 on a monopod and edited in Final Cut Pro X. I always provided my final weddings on a dual layer DVD since all family members no matter their age had a DVD player... many Videographers of course provide their videos on a thumb drive. I would like to point out how subjective a romantic montage like this is. One example of this... I was requested to use the 1960's song "Spooky" as a romantic end montage because it was the Bride's favorite song???... that was one of the most difficult edits that I had to make because if you know the song there is nothing romantic about it. Hope you enjoy the video as much as I did creating it. JRM

Since my first session of online classes filled up and due to the huge amount of requests for me to offer them again, I decided to do another round. :) They're filling up, so be sure to cruise on over the online classes page and check out the new class dates . xo

Video Update (5,000 square feet)

2002 Nickerson Boulevard, Nickerson Plaza, Hampton, VA

This location opened in September 1997; it was originally located here. It became a Movie Scene in April 2002, which closed in winter 2008, then became Cosmic Putt Café in fall 2008, which closed in 2012. The building was divvied up in 2014: space A became a Dunkin' Donuts that year (which was renovated in December 2023-January 2024), space C became an Edible Arrangements that year as well and became a Domino's on November 21st, 2017, and space B became an H&R Block in winter 2022.

I'm not sure if this has been done before but if it has let me know so I can give credit.

Anyways I had an idea to outfit my USDF figs with a video communications pack. The idea is it lets the commanders know what is going on in the field in real time, kinda like the colonial marines in the movie aliens.

In this video you can see a lot of little fish on the reef besides the shots of the Jellyfish. Also, you can see / hear me talking with my hotel and the lighthouse in the background. I say while speaking that this is my second dive for the day. Earlier I went out with Candace and morgan snorkel / diving in the ocean out beyond the reef. Later I will add some video / photos of Candace and Morgan snorkel diving.

I am adding to the description a comment I'm making in response to rhdilla:

Thanks for your explanation. I have been swimming / surfing / snorkeling in the ocean all my life, I know what it feels like to get stung by Jelly fish. I have a LOT of experience with this. I have been stung all over my body before. So I know what kind of risk these creatures present. And I know what I'm dealing with. Some sting a lot more than others. This one was harmless.

Although in truth, I realized I was dealing with a potentially venomous animal. So in that sense you are very right, correct, in that I am risk taker. In any case, I have a LOT of experience being in the water with Jellyfsh. Generally they are annoying if not downright painful. But the ones in this area were no problem at all. I saw a lot of them.

Pasolini e gli italiani...

[...]

L'intelligenza non avrà mai peso, mai

nel giudizio di questa pubblica opinione.

Neppure sul sangue dei lager, tu otterrai

da uno dei milioni d'anime della nostra nazione,

un giudizio netto, interamente indignato:

irreale è ogni idea, irreale ogni passione,
