This was from a 2nd year project where we chose a set that had already been created either from a TV show or Film. We were told to choose a interesting set that would give us lots to work with. I choose to look at Buffy the Vampire Slayer and focus on their school library which is a location that is featured alot throughout the few seasons. We recreated the set in technical drawings and models, both digitally and handmade, from screenshots of the TV show.

This image shows a custom piece of furniture that was commissioned by the Electronics Dept. of SSE Audio (where I am currently employed).
I was given dimensions by the head of the department and then I designed the unit based on standard fixings and materials that we stock.
Custom Door Slide - January 2015 - Vectorworks
This image shows a custom door slide mechanism that was commissioned by the Operations Manager of SSE Audio (where I am currently employed).
I was asked to design a range of cases that incorporated a door that slides back on itself.
The problem with existing solutions was that the sliding door did not fit the internal area of the door, leaving gaps either side which would let in rain. The other issue was cost.
After a lot of preliminary drawings I developed a removable door slide fixing in which the hinging point is moved over to the right to allow the door to close and fit the entire internal of the case. It is also designed so that it could be manufactured by our company, thus reducing cost from outsourcing.

first day as a Mac user, my friends, since I had an Apple II word processor back in my Cornell days. Having fun learning all about this new machine. Vectorworks is next.
