I feel as though this picture investigates the element of value because of the gradient pastel sky. I feel as though the main subject matter of this picture is again, the beautiful pastel sky that looks like a painting, the colors of the sky warming the tones of the picture.

1250 Huguenot Road, Chesterfield Towne Court, Midlothian, VA
This location opened in June 2012 and closed in March 2026; it was originally part of a Service Merchandise, which opened on November 18th, 1993 and downsized in 2000. It became an Office Depot on March 10th, 2001, which relocated here in August 2011.

A man without wit is like a lamp without a wick! He is living worthless like a lamp amidst brightness.
Portsmouth: Me on the left, Evan on the right. My poor point and shoot could not accommodate the distorted white balance of these feet. Note: we are both Caucasian.
Update: This picture was taken at a Saxyderms gig in Summer '08. We played at a craft fair for 'free', but later got lobster! I had so much lobster that Summer... At the after party a jolly fellow kept pestering us to eat more watermelon.
Portsmouth seems like a nice enough place.
In this drawing I was given the task of using values and shapes to create a cohesive sight. I have a slight obsession with the "Alice in Wonderland" franchise, so throughout my work there is a strong impression of that. I really wanted to mimic the type of images you would see when watching an Hayao Miyazaki film, which feature wonderful juxtaposition in the characters and drawing styles. Such as a large head peaking out of a tea cup. The Alice theme shows in the angry playing cards in the background.
Investor Randy Barnette had to have been pleased with the turn-out and the favorable comments.
