Wow.......just about died when I walked into Value Village for their Monday 50% off day and saw all this!!!! (Except the Fiesta candlesticks. Bought those on E-bay.) The green-grey plate is USA ware. Anyone got an idea what the green casserole is? It's not Verde, as the colour is much brighter. Maybe Spring Blossom2??? No lid, unfortunately....
In the style of Banksy if not actually by him.

The NHS Values Summit brings together a diverse range of people and perspectives to create a greater understanding of how people’s differences, social status and cultural expectations can affect their experiences of health and care.
It challenges and inspires people to think about the role of ethical leadership in improving the health and wellbeing of local communities, staff and patients and how the NHS can increase the social value of its activities.
Welcoming representatives from health and social care, alongside more than 20 partners from the voluntary and community sector, this event (in Leeds, Yorkshire) was a template for future NHS Values Summits, which will be held twice a year in different locations across the country. Each event will explore a different theme relating to equality, health inequalities and human rights. The next gathering will take place in May 2013.

After leaving Australia I kept a few not a few dollars in a bank account Sydneyside to benefit from the higher interest rates. And then everything tanked.
So, the value dropped by 19% from August 22 to October 22.

The Army Strong Zone is a 129,000 square foot area designed to immerse visitors in the opportunities and technology of the Army, and the daily lives of Soldiers in a variety of jobs. Led by the Office of the Children’s Commissioner, Takeover Day gives young people the chance to work with adults for the day and be involved in experiencing and learning in ways that connect them with the world of work and raise their personal aspirations for the future. For us at NHS England it also offered us a way to explore with young people how we can really involve them in decision making and genuinely making their voices heard in the NHS.
Our aims for Takeover day were simple:
- Increase Young people's understanding of NHS England's role;
- Provide assurance that the opinions of young people are valued and respected; and
- Increase aspirations, skills, knowledge and inspiration
On Thursday 28 November young People really took over! Working with the Young People’s Health Partnership – one of our national voluntary sector strategic partners including Addaction, Association of Young People’s Health, Brook, CLIC Sargent, StreetGames, and Youth Access – Young People came from all over the country to participate in a days workshop to explore their views and experiences of the NHS and concluded with a powerful presentation to the Executive Team.
I had purchased a season of tickets for the seats in the Value Deck. The view was definitely great, but the crowd up there was a bit tamer. Old school folks with handheld radios and scorecards. I decided to join them in scoring cards!

Majority of smallholder farmers in Babati are engaged only in farming and have no influence over the management or participation in their product value chains. Such farmers are not well connected to markets, so their production is not well tailored to what the markets need. Africa RISING partners have therefore been implementing specific activities to link these farmers to profitable markets.
A first step to their integration in the value chain was to support these farmers to improve their farming skills through use of improved seeds and fertilizers in their cereal-legumes value chain so that they could produce higher yields of more consistent quality and better suited to the market.
Taking a marketing approach, the team brought the farmers together to strengthen their competitive advantage at the point of sale by improving quality, quantity and time of delivery through collective action. This also enables them to access marketing information readily. A total of eighteen (18) farmer groups have been established/strengthened in ten (10) villages and have been trained on the use of improved seeds and fertilizers to increase production, value chain concept, marketing and agri-business skills and how to use e-soko to access market information. They have also been linked to big maize/pigeonpea/common beans traders in the district like Export Trading Group, Bajwa Farmers and Traders, Monaban, and Mohamed Enterprises Ltd, who can buy their produce at harvesting, or through some contracts arrangements.

Four Marks C of E Primary School have now brought their rhino back to us, its name is ‘Face Value’. ‘Face Value’ is the end result of a whole school project. Each of the 250 children had their face’s painted and then photographed – a massive undertaking in its own right. Their individual photos were then applied to a painted sunset and seascape background (the older children took on the challenge of the painted rainforest!) which was finally varnished by the teachers.

The anthropomorphized owl and snake designs are age old symbols of Man’s (and the universe’s) dual nature – earth and heaven – positive and negative – light and dark – existence and non existence – good and evil – common and uncommon, etc. This type of clay is used by many indigenous groups and is a very common material. The Taos people use it for everyday utensils such as their famous bean pots. This form is a pickle barrel and it could actually be used to make pickles. The glazes are food safe. This piece has been low fired so the exterior is still a little bit porous. It should not be left outside.
