My dining room chandelier is a great example of value. Not only is it achromatic to begin with but putting the light source of the window into the photo we can see just how effective the shading and tones can represent three dimensional space. The curves of the lamps and arms that connect all work together to create surfaces that will display many different tones on the full spectrum of black and white shades.
I want to raise my family in this great city. It is a challenging proposition against the curve, so I use signposts for inspiration.
This picture displays the 3 shades of black, white, and gray. This emphasize on the emotion and mood of the picture.

Ironic parallels of SL and RL pressure & "status" symbols (drugs and drink; why pay to sip a cocktail or take a pixelated joint?)
The image highlights value because it has both very dark and very light value, because of the sunshine brightly highlighting the cinder block and brick and the shadows leaving the rest of the image very dark.

this photo uses light/value because the light is coming from behind the store, so it looks black from the shadows.
For some of us, Ondoy was not there to hurt us but to serve as a lesson. We have to understand that the point was to lose a lot of things that we hold dear to us to find out that there are more things that are of value in our life.
