I took this photo because I was walking home from soccer and I noticed that the sun was starting to set. I saw on the sidewalk that the shadows of the tree were covering the whole thing and that it would be great for value.
Back in the day, used cars were considered to be cheaper alternatives to new cars. In a standard economic climate, that rule holds pretty well. However, the Bay Area (and the rest of the nation) has been rocked by economic turmoil since 2008. Thus, used cars have been getting more expensive relative to new cars for complex economic reasons. A couple of weeks ago I was reading the Temple of the Seven Golden Camels blog and he talked about the drawing concept of "Silhouette Value". The concept that a character's action should be recognizable from just their silhouette. I decided to set up some photos to compare different poses for "silhouette value." Value was my element of art and contrast was my principle of design. I created value by using light from my bathroom to shine on my face while my bedroom light was off to create shadows. The variety of light and dark values creates contrast throughout the entire photo.

The objectives of the session will be:
• To exchange views on successful approaches to participatory approaches, social innovations, and entrepreneurship in relation to NWFPs;
• To get inspired by existing relevant experiences in green entrepreneurship;
• To discuss the need for new approaches to governance like those based in territorial animation and social innovation.
The Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), is hosting the Sixth edition of the Mediterranean Forest Week (VIth MWF) at the Grand Hills Hotel, Broumana, on 1–5 April 2019. The weeklong event brings together policy and decision makers, forest administrators, researchers, practitioners, donors, civil society organizations, and social and environmental based non–governmental organizations to share and promote the use of forest–based solutions to assist Mediterranean countries in the implementation of their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement.
