From my garden hide today.

The Treecreeper is another bird that loves the "Utterly Peanut Buttery" that I buy in 12.5kg slabs and spread liberally about the feeding stations.

The Treecreeper came back and forwards in the rain, taking tiny bits of the mix.

Watching the hunting exploits of this Amazon Kingfisher was utterly captivating. Perched on a nearby branch, it watched intently, waiting for the moment to dive. A splash in the river, a flash of jade and it was off with a fish clasped in its bill.

Utterly unmistakable large shorebird: gleaming white adult has a black back, black flight feathers, and a very heavy dark bill, which is used to dispatch crustaceans and other invertebrates. Narrow dark smudge around the eye imparts a sleepy appearance. Juvenile similar to adult but back pale brown. Inhabits sandy beaches and shorelines, as well as coral outcrops, rocky coasts, and mangroves. Forages in flocks, often giving raucous, tern-like calls in flight. (eBird)

-----------

This was one of the birds on my wish list for the trip. Luckily, we came across three, wading and fishing in the Red Sea, We could not get close, but I am pleased to have record shots of this bird, the only species in its family.

The utterly gorgeous Milford Sound in the Fiordland National Park in New Zealand one early morning back in April 2008.

When asked recently where was my favorite place on earth, I said this location. Mitre Peak stands at 1,690m (5,560ft) and is so impressive with its tip gently lit by the early morning sun. Just a staggeringly beautiful place to visit.

I LOVE NEW ZEALAND!!!!!

Sorry, Utterly boring with another view of one of my visiting cubs. But circumstances have precluded much photography. Thus may look fierce but in reality he is just chewing some peanuts 😂

Utterly beautiful and impressively large the Great White Egret epitomizes why we stand out in the cold for hours with a camera in our hands

Strange now to think that only 2-3 years ago I wouldn't have had a clue what a GWE was!

It started with clicking a few shots with an old second hand Nikon D90., that lead to going to nature reserves to find something to photograph., and that has now lead to spending far too much time and money on a hobby I have learned to love!

But had I not taken that path. I would never have discovered the sheer beauty of a bird like this! and that makes you think

Utterly beautiful lonely planet gem - San Bai Shan, China as newly open national reserve park.

I spend a lot of time under this paper birch tree....it's just so beautiful :) Happy Tuesday everyone!! xxx

There are few places more magical, more inspirational, more stirring than the utterly spellbinding series of waterfalls on the Glen Brittle river on the Isle of Skye, including the iconic Fairy Pools and this wonderful waterfall affectionately nicknamed the Washing Machine Falls.

One of the joys in photographing this particular waterfall is the wonderful channel that not only contains some gorgeous boulders and rocks but the colour of the water within the channel is a stunning shade of green. I have visited this place so many times and yet the sense of anticipation you experience during the thirty minute wander down and then up the trail that leads you to some of the finest small waterfalls, aqua green water plunge pools and even an underwater arch the UK has to offer is palpable.

The geology in this area is stunning with a million compositions of a million images to capture.

Utterly unmistakable orange bird with a zebra-striped wings, a Chinese fan of a crest (usually held closed, but often raised just after landing), and a rapier of a bill. Favors semiopen habitats such as heathland, farmland, orchards, grassy lawns, where it feeds on the ground, probing with its long bill for insects.

There are times during Minnesota winters a person can gin up empathy with prisoners in the Soviet gulags. Like this small barn, isolation can become the wallpaper of the day. As we age, it is key that we seek to maintain contact with people and not withdraw from daily life.

This bird seemed utterly confused as to why I was taking a photo of him. Maybe he thought he wasn't photogenic? I beg to differ. ;)

Tot això anirà a terra.

======================

These old, derelict houses in Sabadell are counting their last days. Not that they were a real architectural treasure, but bit by bit, the old city is being wiped out. So many real treasures had been already been demolished just to benefit the same few, the so called "gang of the brick"

Additionals and info on my blog

A Tricolored Heron just can't pull himself away.

I tuck bits of the 'Utterly Peanut Butterly' fat mix into nooks and crannies on my bits of wood.

I obviously missed a bit this morning and the Blue Tit isn't happy.

I buy the mix in 12.5kg blocks - every single bird coming to the feeders loves it.

The utterly remarkable view atop Padar Island is etched in my memory. Almost a year after visiting it, I still think about this place often. It's the combination of the sharp, grassy hills—which absolutely scream Komodo to a wildlife nut like me—and the idyllic, vivid blue tropical water and reefs, that make this place completely unique. And that's not even mentioning the biogeographic and physical wonders here, the Indonesian Throughflow and its effect of completely isolating so much nature, and the giant dragons that seem like they could conquer the world but that are sequestered here like they've been placed to guard some treasure. Padar and its neighbours seem familiar to someone from Australia's dry tropics, with the cockatoos and Themeda grasses and Zizyphus shrubs.

I can't wait to go back.

I am utterly loving the new Iwaki bus from GEMC, always wanted a bus that had a classic vibe, then i stumbled upon this stunning area in Bellisseria ( Taken At: maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SSPE1110/57/66/53) and felt compelled to take a picture.

"Enchantment" is a very...enchanting word!!! Utterly musical and harmonious word!!! When we are enchanted, we become one with the One, the Creator, God the Beloved !!!! A blessed moment!!

And , yes, I kept my mostly enchanting Swan family photos for the end of this year's season!!! Because, I find the simple co-existence of these elegant, graceful, divine creatures, together with the uplifting Natural Autumn colours, very....enchanting!!! Utterly enchanting!!!

Do you share my ....enchantment???

**** In these particular captures, I had the great chance to meet for the 2nd time my beloved Swan Family, when they all reappeared in front of me at the opposite side of the borders of this lake of the Chateau , during that blessed day of this recent Autumn...

***** I wish to every one of you, to feel enchanted the most often possible, every single day!!!!!

...we are utterly beautiful, solid, and exquisitely intact. In dream, where we float for hours with nothing to say, or not needing to speak. In reverie, where you softly hold my hand, even when my eyes are open.

I have utterly no idea of the function of this item of Victorian engineering. All I can tell you is that it still works.

Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.

The Potato by Quills and Curiosity is utterly adorable and beautifully animated. If you want a subtle eye-catcher as you rattle around the grid he makes for a fun companion and comes in 3 sizes. Or just have him chilling in your home. The little top hat....I just can't....

Park Road (old bog road), Strabane, County Tyrone

Our recent sunsets during summer's warmth have been utterly breath-taking and I have been out peacefully capturing them every evening. For, as we all know on how fast the weather can change here in Ireland 😆

Yesterday evening I decided to travel to an old giant beech tree in hope of some warm golden sunset light reflecting off its leaves. As a change of composition, I decided on instead of capturing the entire tree in frame to stand directly underneath to let its leafy branches frame the upper part of my scene whilst focusing on this dusty old road which led towards and under the tree.

The sun dipped before gently touching the horizon and sending its golden rays towards me in farewell to the day past. I love capturing these simple moments both in memory & photography 💚

Utterly fabulous frog!

Ha Giang is a province in Vietnam, which is utterly opposite to the provinces in the Mekong Delta; it is the northernmost as compared to the southernmost, mountainous as compared to incredibly low and flat, one of the poorest in Vietnam as compared to relatively affluent, minority status of Kinh Vietnamese as compared to the dominance, in particular, in Dong Thap.

Ha Giang city, the capital of the province, is located 300 km north-northwest of Hanoi, the capital of Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV) and the homeland of Kinh Vietnamese in the Red River Delta.

This photo was taken on the way to Dong Van, which is expected to be the tourism centre for exploring the karst landscapes in Ha Giang.

The narrow winding road climbing the slope is the Quốc lộ (national route) 4C.

Certhia familiaris another of the small birds who likes the Utterly Peanut Buttery mix.

Finely ground peanuts in melted lard work as well (add a lot of peanut so the lard is no longer white)

"Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." •

Sometimes someone walks into your life and everything just works; it's effortless, organic and right from the very first exchange - making it obvious why everything and everyone else didn't work.

From day one you've made me smile, laugh until I cry, my heart flutter and given me the freedom to be myself, always. I craved your Dominance the moment I felt it's embrace, and I am forever grateful and happy that we're on this journey together.

Calcining kilns, Rosedale

This landscape was utterly transformed during Rosedale’s Victorian ‘iron rush’ when Bank Top was a centre for the processing and transport of ironstone. Mining began in 1856, with ironstone hewn from nearby Hollins Mines and hauled by a steam winding engine up an inclined tramway to Bank Top. Vast quantities of ore – over 300,000 tonnes a year – were then processed in giant kilns, before being carried by moorland railway to blast furnaces in County Durham and Teesside.
