Re engine #6, we were told by staff that this engine was not on line all the time, but that when it was on the vibration could be felt more so on the upper decks. Some nights you would go to bed and it felt like you were in a Motel Six of old, with a quarter in the bed vibrator.

A couple of years ago I noticed a user trail that intersected Espinosa trail and wound north through the adjacent brush toward the foot of a nearby hill. I noticed it because someone had tried to hide their tracks by dragging something, maybe a branch or blanket, across the trail; the air was still, and I remember studying the slope where the trail disappeared and wondering if someone was up there looking studying me. A couple of months later I explored that trail and found the remains of a small camp huddled around a cluster of boulders hidden in the tall manzanita. I followed the trail up to the edge where it began to descend the other side into Secret Canyon, but I didn't go farther. I had a notion where it came out; during one of my early Secret Canyon hikes I started up a dank path along a steep ravine, a trail designed for people coming down. The day was oppressively hot. The ground was muddy and bees were swarming in the shadow of the bank. Before long I turned around.
Today when I arrived at the trailhead I hadn't quite decided where I'd hike but by the time I reached the valley I was already making mental notes about the user trail, and an hour or so later I was turning onto it. There were no signs anyone had been on the trail recently though occasionally old bits of trash, like the empty Prazolan packing, huddled beneath the bushes. The trail meandered, crossing a couple of gulches, and I had to back track once to find it. The camp beside the boulders was still there. The long-discarded clothes and day-packs were weather-beaten and faded. Wadded up between the roots of a bush was a still shiny black trash bag. From the camp I wandered up to the foot of the hill where short bushes grew from the orange ground. I hiked up the hill and followed the ridge east along a series of saddles and peaks that gradually rose like a dorsal fin. Near the last peak a tree, possibly an elderberry, was in bloom. Its leaves were similar to a laurel sumac's in shape and size but were bright green, not the dusty dark green of the sumac, and were serrated and veined. Its yellow compound flowers were drawing lots of bees. I crushed a leaf but it had no particular smell but the flowers had a gentle nutmeg odor.
Since this was the highest point on the ridge, I took some pictures and started heading back, smelling the nutmeg flowers one last time. Near the west end of the ridge I noticed a long row of breadbox sized rocks that looked as if they had been placed there by hand. I couldn't figure out why. The line didn't seem to go anywhere or mark anything. As I was standing there trying to imagine a reason, I noticed a wasp fly to a spot on the ground close to where I was standing. It then disappeared into a small hole not much wider than the entrance to an ant nest. A moment later the wasp came back out, flew around a little, and then ducked back into the hole. It did this several times. But when I bent down to take a picture, I must have alerted it and it flew off. I waited but it didn't return. So I hiked down the hillside, admiring the sun baked rocks, brown as bread, and the delicate trails that crisscrossing the ground.
When I got to the user trail I turned north and started down the Secret Canyon side. I was more than half expecting the trail to be unpleasant - overgrown, dreary. Instead it was like descending through an arboretum with varieties of trees and bushes shading a beautiful trail that followed the ravine down. There were a few times I had to scramble down rock falls or skulk under an occasional bush but the descent was peaceful and pleasant. After about three quarters of an hour I was nearing the bottom of the slope. The brush receded and a wide strip of knee high green grass carpeted the ground. Fifty yards further on I was standing, once again, on Secret Canyon trail. I turned south and started back along the now familiar ground.
At this point, it occurred to me that there was another ravine that came down from the same ridge to my right and it might have a trail along it too. When I got to the ravine it took me less than a minute to discover the user trail. This ravine was much shorter and gentler and the ground around the trail more open. After twenty minutes I was navigating through moderately sparse chaparral at the top of a saddle. I was once again only a couple of dozen yards above Espinosa trail, though I was now about a half a mile west of where the first user trail was. To my surprise, I heard voices coming from up the trail to my left. Several hundred yards away stood a woman in a bright pink t-shirt looking up at me on the saddle. I skittered down the dusty slope. I could now see there were two women, the other one stood above the first on the side of the trail. I waved to them and then headed down into the valley and home.

Question Asked Usually
"Intuit recommends that you install QuickBooks or the QuickBooks Server on the same computer as the company file and set up that computer to host multi-user access to company files."
I've setup QuickBooks Server on my file sharing server but how do I tell that computer to host multi-user access? Other instructions suggest that it's done through Quickbooks but Quickbooks isn't installed on that server. I don't see any options in QuickBooks Server to do this.
I can access the company files from my remote computer's QB in single-user mode. If I attempt to switch to multi-user mode then it appears that QB will set my remote computer as the multi-user host instead of the server.

In multi-user mode, you are able to have 5 users at a time hitting the company file. With this design it essentially is down to 4 since you run it on a server with no users working on it. Is there a way to have 5 users and the QB dummy user hosting the file work?

You don't run the Program on the server unless you are using it as a client. But you launch it occasionally to get updates. The database manager service is what needs to stay running, for all users to be able to access the same file.

Hmm... How do you host the multiuser without the program running? I have a QB server with the QB database manger running and hosting the shared folder.

If the hosting service runs at startup, the QB program is not needed. When you first run the installer, you have three Options: install the program, install the Program and host, or install the hosting service only.

I have double checked that and the service is running, db manager shows the proper shared folder. When I log onto QB on a remote pc, It opens in single mode. When I change it to multi, it gives me an error that shows the file path and (, port not available) error contacting server:-100, all firewalls are turned off.

We are having the same problem. When one particular computer logs in to QB, it automatically logs him in as (Home) in single user mode. He can't switch to multi user, and the other users cannot log in until he logs out and we log in. Then he can log back in.

Now still waiting for Apple support to call back to get the iPad to stream to the Apple TV. 0n the second expert so far.
Managed to get the MacBook Air to cast YouTube but only the audio of iView…. The Apple TV can’t find the new router..
When the iPad did connect, it streamed vision but the sound still came from the iPad.
I have updated and rebooted both devices, even a Safe Mode Boot on the MacBook did not display the setting options we needed....

Cherie, Michael and Jay chose to develop a mobile application to assist with earthquake preparedness.
