These buildings are typical of what you will see in Bangkok. They have an air of faded beauty about them
We are fortunate to have travelled in this amazing area many times. This barn caught my eye years ago but hard to make an interesting image of. On this very last day of 2024 we had good conditions so I gave it another go. Eglinton Valley in Fiordland National Park is impressive, carved out by glaciers thousands of years ago. Surrounded by steep rocky mountains covered in native beech forest. The flat floor of the valley is covered in golden tussock grass with a few farms in between.
Upper Bond Falls with Autumn colors on the Ontonagon River in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. As always, I appreciate your comments and I hope all of my contacts have a great Saturday!
Beautiful Upper Waterfowl Lake with mountain and cloud reflections toward evening. Icefields Parkway, Alberta, Canada.
Back from a recent stay in Scotland not so far from Loch Ness, spotted this beautiful location just a few miles from where we were staying.

This 65 footer is one of the upper falls in the Twin Falls complex of waterfalls. We hiked up a side trail and went out on a rocky point to catch this shot. There are more waterfalls up the canyon beyond our view. We hiked a short distance along the top of the canyon and could hear the water roaring but lacking rock climbing equipment and skills, we could not see the waterfalls.
I almost didn't stop at Tahquamenon Falls this year. I'm glad I did as I've never seen them in fall!
Yes there is an upper path, but there is also an upper-upper path where I took the photo of the upper path from yesterday. Clear as mud?
Thanks for viewing my photo, comments are always welcome and appreciated.

Originally thought to be a full OCS train, it was a little disappointing to see this O SPOWHI3 was nothing but a 3 car Geometry extra. However, they still made for a nice scene above the crystal clear waters of Upper Stillwater Lake as they wrap up their journey down the Kootenai River Sub towards Whitefish.

Upper Dove Valley yesterday morning as the sun rose over High Wheeldon, this was taken from Hitter Hill just inside Derbyshire, but the view you see is half Derbyshire on the left and Staffordshire on the Right, The River Dove is the divide which is the treeline in the bottom of the valley.

The Tahquamenon Falls are two different waterfalls on the Tahquamenon River. Both sets are located near Lake Superior in the eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The water is notably brown in color from the tannins leached from the cedar swamps which the river drains. The upper falls are more than 200 feet (60 m) across and with a drop of approximately 48 feet (14 m) During the late spring runoff, the river drains as much as 50,000 US gallons (190,000 L) of water per second, making the upper falls the third most voluminous vertical waterfall east of the Mississippi River, after Niagara Falls and Cohoes Falls, both in New York State.

Shot for ten seconds to show movement in the foam.
This mornings view along the Upper Dove Valley towards Parkhouse, Chrome and Hollins Hills. The large triangular shadow of High Wheeldon cast on Aldery Cliff very obvious here.
