The light for photography at both Upper and Lower Stevens Lake was less than optimal to say the least. The most impressive views were looking straight into the harsh mid-day July sun.
July 7, 2012: With temperatures soaring well above 100 degrees at the lower elevations, we made the 5.5 mile, 1,800' elevation gain hike to Lower and Upper Stevens Lakes near the Idaho-Montana border. Joining us for the hike were Jason's brother Chris, his son Max, and Jason's co-worker Kamyab.

The village of Upper Slaughter in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds is one mile away from Lower Slaughter and resides on a gentle grassy slope above the stream that connects the two villages.
Once the village was dominated by a Norman castle but all that can be seen of it today are the remains of the motte and bailey.
The building that dominates Upper Slaughter is the beautiful gabled Manor House which is one of the finest buildings in the area. The oldest part of the house dates from the 15th century but the front is Elizabethan. The Manor is now a hotel.
This place has to be the most charming I have ever been to...I had to work quite hard at this shot to get some sort of resemblance to the actual feeling of the place...the colours, the air, the peace and quite, the sound of the river, birds etc. ...it was simply magical! Just happened to be in the right place at the right time!
September 8, 2014 - The Upper Chapel of Sainte-Chapelle was reserved for the king and other members of the royal family. It was built by Louis IX in 1248 to house Christ's crown of thorns, which has been moved to Notre-Dame treasury. It was currently undergoing a restoration of the great Rose Window. Located on the Île de la Cité in the fourth arrondissement. Paris, France.

Upper Teesdale is a rugged and beautiful part of the northern Pennines.
Another drawback of these treatments is that not everyone can afford it. These treatments are costly and should be done several times so only few can actually afford it. Good thing, there are natural treatments we can do to slow down or reduce the visibility of upper lip wrinkles.
