Upper Mustang Tiji festival is a 3 days ritual ceremony of monks. Tiji tells the story of a deity named Dorje Jono who must battle against his demon father to save the Kingdom of Mustang from destruction. The festival is celebrated in the month of May or May. The festival is combined with the Upper Mustang trekking. This is the a great opportunity to explore the Mustang Landscape, Tibetan influence mustang culture, Life style, Ancient cave, monastery and traditional Tiji festival.
The village of Upper Slaughter in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds is one mile away from Lower Slaughter and resides on a gentle grassy slope above the stream that connects the two villages.
Once the village was dominated by a Norman castle but all that can be seen of it today are the remains of the motte and bailey.
The building that dominates Upper Slaughter is the beautiful gabled Manor House which is one of the finest buildings in the area. The oldest part of the house dates from the 15th century but the front is Elizabethan. The Manor is now a hotel.

Upper Cochiti Canyon has become ideal bighorn sheep habitat. Forty-five bighorn sheep were released into this area in mid-August as part of an initiative to reintroduce Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep into the recovering Las Conchas burn scar. Photo by Mark Rosacker.
The light for photography at both Upper and Lower Stevens Lake was less than optimal to say the least. The most impressive views were looking straight into the harsh mid-day July sun.
July 7, 2012: With temperatures soaring well above 100 degrees at the lower elevations, we made the 5.5 mile, 1,800' elevation gain hike to Lower and Upper Stevens Lakes near the Idaho-Montana border. Joining us for the hike were Jason's brother Chris, his son Max, and Jason's co-worker Kamyab.
Our guide talked about how blue starts to appear in the slot canyon this time of the year. We agree. Three image HDR.
