What would I do without a freshly brewed coffee in the morning?

How could I survive a day in office without cup after cup of this noble drink?

And who the hell had the idea of grinding beans and pressing boiling water through it?

This guy was a genius!

The loco is named in honour of the Worshipful Company of Paviors, who were historically responsible for the pavements of the City of London and, over the years, have been critical to the development of the craft of paving, road making, general construction and infrastructure.

i'm so sorry for the delay I've had technical problems with my computer... Thank you for your patience !

This young Barn Swallow allowed me to approach really close in the car so I was able to get a couple of shots off before a cyclist came along the track and made it fly off

Ok, so I didn't make it for Feet Up Friday ... so here I was instead!

It was hard to resist taking these kinds of shot here. Taken while camping for a few days in Redwood National Park. They do look like they're whispering secrets to each other.

Visit there in September...the weather is perfect and there's less people camping once the kids are back in school.

This is from a batch of my old film negatives that I recently had scanned in.

There is a ridiculous amount of Ladybirds in our garden at the moment so I figured it was the perfect opportunity to test out my new Close Up filters. Bare in mind I'm still learning!

This pop up book is well worn now after the grandchildren have used it so many times. Not many of the pop ups work any more, this is an exception!

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. All comments and Faves are very much appreciated

Eastside Camera Club - March 2023

The former CNW crossing of the Missouri River in Blair is an impressive structure. This will be worthy of a retry later in the afternoon now that the summer sun swings to the north side. Unfortunately the train I was waiting to shoot broke a metal air line and gridlocked things soon after. This soybean load off the Sioux City line will suffice for now.

On the ground in tall grass as she worked a tree stump. She was invisible except when she would take periodic peaks to check her surroundings as in this shot.

Craskie Glen Cannich

I did this shot a while back and came across it again this morning. It was just a test shot to see if i could manipulate the objects in photoshop so it aint great, but i felt like uploading it rather than let it collect dust. It snowed again last night, what am i going to do about starting my car now!

This is one of very few Heil F4000s I’ve seen in the last couple of decades which has the basic open back for manual loading, built entirely for kerbside clean-up. Off the top of my head this is also the only mammoth 28m body that has made it down to Australia, appropriate in capacity for the bulk waste job. Amongst a fleet of originally 10 side loaders, it was only this single rear loader taking care of booked clean-ups in Penrith, with additional trucks later supporting the demand in service. Definitely one of the cooler rear loaders living in the Sydney region!
