Going on a charter fishing boat for the day, with my husband, was wonderful... the weather was beautiful and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the water....
the boat was full and it seemed like everyone was pulling in fish...
we pulled up a few, but no keepers... just photos and memories!!!
The trees are finding beginning to turn in the Midwest. This tree was shot on the John Hauberg Estate in Rock Island, IL.
The low neck posture is a warning to 'back off from me and my babies'...
I liked how the goslings were perfectly lined up for this capture :)

66718 - 'Sir Peter Hendy' gets away from Llandudno Junction 33minutes late with the 6Z59 for Bescot Downside. 27th February.
With a green showing for Platform 1 a position was taken, only to find it was to go through Platform 2 which meant a quick change of position which resulted in this rather hurried take!.

Great day for a photo shoot. Minus 12 degrees C but nary a breeze so I spent an enjoyable morning by the river, which is still iced over.
1:24 scale 1937 Studebaker pick up by Danbury Mint and scratch built service station in Forced Perspective.
So early in the morn, out I went with my Grinch coffee mug, as the pups went on their run.
These roses were there to greet me...

A friendly wave from the conductor flies from one of a handful of CNW Dash 9 patches remaining. 9741 is the lone engine a coal empty westbound on the Blair Sub. Check out some of the interesting touches on this veteran; hand painted numberboards, and visors over the headlights... appears someone stole a headlight casting from an EMD and mounted it upside down.
It is unusual to see DC power on Union Pacific coal trains, much less General Electric DC power, and even much less CNW patches!
Canadian potash train running west at MP 99 on UP's Portland Sub at Moody, crossing the Deschutes River, OR. The Columbia River is seen in the upper left.
Normally, Havoc's ears are positioned toward the back of his head. I got his attention by whistling a tune I remember from the 1960s. He paid close attention!
Janice asked me why I'd chosen that old tune. It's just what popped into my head . . .
Union Pacific 4-8-4 Northern #844 on the 2016 "Trek to Tennessee" Special traveling between Jefferson City, MO and St. Louis, MO on October 18, 2016.
After making the stop in Hermann, the 844 continues east past the high Kallmeyer's Bluff.
Here's where things went a little off the rails for me (so to speak) as I had some bad luck with the sun that was darting in and out from under the clouds. Just moments before this shot, the sun was behind a cloud and I had adjusted my exposure. Then it popped back out, requiring another. By the time it reached the point of just before the trees, it was back behind the clouds again and the exposure on my shots at that point were off again.
This ended up being the best of a bad lot. While not exactly where I wanted the train for composition, the sun is at least out and the exposure is at least pretty good (with a little help from my friend, Photoshop)
