My second most favorite lenses. Great for portraits and to photograph objects. I can bet that everyone has one of this one ;)!

and coming down

This male Ring Neck Duck had been actively diving to feed and I watched him do a distinct route through the wetland and then repeat it. When he came close to where I was, I got this photo just after he had surfaced from the dive.

A late OMAX train of empties, coming off the BNSF onto the UP.

A month ago firends of mine was visiting from Shanghai and we went to Porteau Cove one night hoping to see a starry dark night sky. When we arrived, the sky was completely coverd with clouds. It was a little dissapointed at the time, but after we waited there for about an hour with freezing cold wind chill. The sky finally clearing up and this is the moment of that 50/50 situation. It was worth the wait in the cold for sure! Would you do that?

UP 7112 east passing through the crestfallen snow at red barn earlier this AM. The sun was peaking through the clouds at various times but none of them were when a train was going by. I like the orange boxes against the white backdrop here as we almost had full sun but was muted due to a passing cloud. At least they put the clean turd on the point of the turd special.

Seeing the northern lights is a life changing experience for many. But how do you know when to go? And when you get there, how do you photograph it? See comment section. Here are a few images I took earlier in the year.

It's such a wonderful feeling to be zipped up into a lovely dress and feel it wrap you in a nice feminine hug. I'm so grateful that my sister let me borrow this dress.

Going on a charter fishing boat for the day, with my husband, was wonderful... the weather was beautiful and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the water....

the boat was full and it seemed like everyone was pulling in fish...

we pulled up a few, but no keepers... just photos and memories!!!

I liked how the goslings were perfectly lined up for this capture :)

Coming up the hill from Box this morning the fog was clearing so I stopped to have a look over the valley towards Bath, when I looked around the light was coming through the trees like this. Always look for the light.

Great day for a photo shoot. Minus 12 degrees C but nary a breeze so I spent an enjoyable morning by the river, which is still iced over.
