I bought a "Pouva Start" on ebay (120film-sized 6x6 toy camera). There was still a film loaded called ORWO NP20. I shot the rest of that negative b&w film. But I didn't take this lovely picture!

I've seen this insect for the last three days in my small prairie. It looks like a bumble bee but it perches on top of Golden Rod and hunts like a robber fly. Anyone know what it is?

Unknown mite, found Glenview, QLD, Australia. It's body was approx. 3-4mm in length, any help with an ID would be great!
A Large View On Black
I went away for the weekend and met up with Bill, Dennis and Frank for a bit of a photography weekend as they are on the finishing leg of their budget barbie campervan holiday. As we hadn't realised it's school holidays and all the caravan parks and camping grounds were booked out so we found a free rest stop that allowed camping at Glenview, QLD. I arrived at 4.25am Saturday morning and our photography adventure begun.
