The Glenfinnan Monument situated here the head of Loch Shiel was erected in 1815 to mark the place where Prince Charles Edward Stuart ("Bonnie Prince Charlie") raised his standard, at the beginning of the 1745 Jacobite Rising. The statue at the top is of an unknown generic highlander.

Don't really know what this is, but this is a very active insect that I'd met that day; it keeps moving all the time and making it difficult to keep it in focus, as you can see, the head is completely out of focus :-( and this is actually the best of four.
