This photograph demonstrates the principle of Unity by using line, shape, colour and form. The domed ceiling of the Brookfield place creates repetition along with the basement where the chairs and tables are arranged in a repetitive manner divided by the escalator/side railings creates unity by balancing the top and the bottom, connected via the escalator.
At Soundsplash in Raglan, Unity Pacific were the first band I saw playing. They have a great track on the Grey Lynn Park Festival cd that came out in 2003 'From Street to Sky'.
Paramahamsa Vishwananda visited Srinivasa Ashram in Essex, United Kingdom, on June 29th and 30th for the Sacred Summer Festival: a remarkable celebration of spirituality, unity, and devotion in the warmth of summer.
It all started with the best event of all, as Guruji gave darshan on the first day to all the participants.
The second day began with a ‘Pray for the World’ live telecast from the temple, during which all participants joined Paramahamsa Vishwananda in collective prayer.
Following the prayer sessions, Guruji initiated the Sudarshana-yajna, a special sacred fire ceremony dedicated to Lord Sudarshana, the weapon of Vishnu. Everyone was invited to make offerings during the ceremony. Guruji concluded the festivities by performing the first-ever Shayan-arati to the Srinivasa deities, which left those assembled there feeling such sweet devotion and contentment as they wished the deities a good night’s sleep. (This beautiful ceremony will now be a part of every day’s worship to end the service for the day.)

The 2012 College Crash Spiel Curling event was held March 3, 4 2012 at the Belfast Curling Club in Belfast, Maine. Unity College competed against Harvard, Colgate, Bates, Bowdoin and BU.

"Unity is a positive, practical way of life that seeks to find and promote the good inherent in all people. God is seen as having many attributes, but most important is God as unconditional love. There is nothing that we have done that has made God love us any less and there is nothing that we could do to make God love us any more!
Unity stresses that God is not a physical man in the sky, for this is a limited view of God. God is Spirit, everywhere present, the one and only Spirit behind, in and through all things, visible and invisible. There is no place where God is not.
Unity proclaims the divinity of Jesus, but goes further and asserts that all people are children of God, and therefore divine in nature. We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; rather, we are spiritual beings having a human experience for soul growth.
Unity explains that God's greatest gift to us is the mind, and the mind is our connecting link with God or Divine Mind. The Unity philosophy shows how the action of one's own mind affects the body and circumstances. One changes one's life by first changing one's mind. Emphasis is placed on the effective power that every thought, word, feeling and deed has upon all aspects of one's life.
Prayer and meditation are key components of the Unity teaching. Very simply, prayer is talking to God, and meditation is listening to God. We pray and meditate to consciously know our oneness with God."
A significant minority of the members some from beyond our shores. Pictured here are Australian, French and Danish nationals, but there are also individuals who were born in Malaysia, Hongkong, Taiwan and, up till last year, the United States. It is gratifying to know that music continues to hold hope for peace and harmony even in these troubled times.
